I'm actually sort of surprised that the medal is so similar to the one for the 13K. I was hoping it would be completely different.

Also me, but I like the glow-in-the-dark aspect.

Of course they would release the medal design on Friday the 13th. I can't believe I didn't see that one coming. lol I love it though. I have a 5k tonight, and that's just what I needed to put some spring in my step this evening.

So DH and I had decided not to do the race because it is the last night of our 8 night family trip and we would be tired and full of vacation food and drink. But, when I saw that medal, I changed my mind! We registered today!

87% full, Disney Happy Haunted 5k Trail Run through ESPN WWOS complex on various terrain, sand, pavement and grass

I did the Princess Half back in February so this will be my second Run Disney

Now to go back and read all these pages! I'm so excited and can't wait!!

Anyone talking about costumes yet?? That's my biggest obsession... I made myself 3 costumes for the Princess cause I couldn't make up my mind!!

I'm obsessing about the costumes too. I really want something that glows in the dark. I'm thinking of doing a Tink costume that glows neon green. If I can't find that I'll probably just use the reflective yellow/green color. I'll be the bright one lit up like a Christmas tree....albeit in the back of the pack

I just registered for this! Not only will it be my first Disney trip in two years , but it will be my VERY FIRST race! I already run regularly but have never trained for a race before, it's going to be a crazy summer.

The medal pushed me over the edge, I must have it!

I just registered as well, but I could not get a pin. They said they were unavailable. I have never had that happen before but then I never signed up at over 90% full. Were the early signer-upers able to get one?

Unfortunately, I bet it is because the race is almost full. We signed up the day registration opened and we were all able to get a pin (3 of us). Maybe they'll have some at the expo for you!

Just ran my first ever, official race on Saturday, a 5k, and placed 3rd in my age group with a 22:42 time! So proud of myself! Can't wait for September and that awesome medal!!
