Complete newbie so hang in there while I ask a basic question. If we eat dinner at Kona Cafe after a day at MK and are staying at CBR, can we monorail to Epcot and get a bus back to CBR if we don't have park hopper? Basically will the monorail put us outside Epcot so we are not actually in the park, or will we have to monorail/boat back to MK and take a bus from there back to our resort?

Yep, the monorail will actually travel through Epcot, then stop outside the main entrance. So, no park pass is needed. If you're just looking for a fun thing to do, this is a great idea. But, if you're looking for speed, head to MK and get the CBR bus from there.

We have a 9pm ADR at Jiko (AKL) on a Sunday night in August. We're staying at the Polynesian so we'll probably take the resort boat launch over to the MK and then hop onto an AKL bus. Easy.

What would be the options to get back to the Polynesian after dinner, which would probably be around 10:30pm or so??

None of the parks are open that late on that night (the 30th) so unless there's something that I'm not aware of, it might be easiest to just get a taxi to take us back.

Any options other than taxi??

Just about the only other option is to take a bus to DTD and transfer to a Polynesian bus there. But, that's going to take at least an hour, probably closer to 90 mins!!

Best free way? Take a bus to DHS and then walk or take the boat to the Yacht Club.

I am at Caribbean beach club right now. Tomorrow we want to go to Hollywood studios first thing in the am, and then go to Typhoon Lagoon when it opens around 10. Im am confused as to how to get there from Hollywood studios , I have only seen that I will have to go to Downtown Disney and get on a bus there, and if we want to go back to resort after 2 pm I will have to get on a bus to epcot and transfer buses again. Is this right?

No, to get to Typhoon Lagoon (before 2pm), you need to get the bus at any Disney Resort. I suggest going from DHS to Pop Century; in fact, some buses from DHS to Pop continue on to TL & DTD in the am, so you might not even have to change buses. But if you do have to change, Pop is the least out-of-the-way resort between DHS & TL.

And yes, to get anywhere from TL after 2pm, you will need to transfer at Epcot. The only exceptions are the MK resorts and BB, which have direct buses from TL after 2 for a limited time as tests. All other buses leaving TL after 2pm go only to Epcot.

Sorry, there is a small taxi stand, and I have seen cabs there, but I don't know whether you can count on one always being there. You can always call Mears to request one if there isn't, at 407-422-2222.

Thanks! Last time I stayed at Coronado Springs and they had direct bus to/from Blizzard Beach, which was great, I didn't realize what a pain it would be to get back from TL this trip!

You would need to go though Epcot to get there.

Take the bus to DHS and then walk or take the boat to the Boardwalk.

Nope, you can't walk from the main entrance without entering the park. You can walk or take the boat from Hollywood Studios.

cranbiz gave you good info......just want to add that you just need an ADR to Boma...nothing special is needed to be a 'sinner' there!!!! Sorry, couldn't resist.

I have an 8 am ADR at BOG on May 12, forgot when I made it that was my moving day for a split stay. I'm at AKL 5/10-12 and BWV 5/12-15. I've been debating the best way to get to my ADR. I drive so have my car but in 30 something years have never used my car except for to change resorts if doing split stays. I figure I have three options:

Take the 7 am bus from AKL lodge to MK, do my FPs there then take the bus back to AKL and move my car to BW and check in. (not ideal for me since I have FPs through around 12:30 and a tea ressie at GF at 1:30 so I'm thinking it will be around 2:30 or 3 by the time I get back to AKL and allowing for getting lost time (I do it every time) will be around 3:30 or 4 by the time I check in BW.

Drive to TTL around 7:30 and taking the boat to MK, finish up my MK and GF stuff and drive to BW and check in. I'm not thrilled about this option since I do plan on having a glass of sparkling wine with my tea.

Drive over to BW around 6:00 am (I'm up around 5:30 any way), check in and go to the BW bus stop hoping to get there by 7 am (shouldn't be a problem to get parked and checked in in a hour), take the bus to MK. Is it possible to park at BW before I check in and then check in that afternoon? I don't remember if you have to put a parking pass on your car at the deluxe resorts, I know you do at the value and moderate.

I don't have any plans for the afternoon of that day except to enjoy F&G at Epcot.
