Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

I have an 8 am ADR at BOG on May 12, forgot when I made it that was my moving day for a split stay. I'm at AKL 5/10-12 and BWV 5/12-15. I've been debating the best way to get to my ADR. I drive so have my car but in 30 something years have never used my car except for to change resorts if doing split stays. I figure I have three options:

Take the 7 am bus from AKL lodge to MK, do my FPs there then take the bus back to AKL and move my car to BW and check in. (not ideal for me since I have FPs through around 12:30 and a tea ressie at GF at 1:30 so I'm thinking it will be around 2:30 or 3 by the time I get back to AKL and allowing for getting lost time (I do it every time) will be around 3:30 or 4 by the time I check in BW.

Drive to TTL around 7:30 and taking the boat to MK, finish up my MK and GF stuff and drive to BW and check in. I'm not thrilled about this option since I do plan on having a glass of sparkling wine with my tea.

Drive over to BW around 6:00 am (I'm up around 5:30 any way), check in and go to the BW bus stop hoping to get there by 7 am (shouldn't be a problem to get parked and checked in in a hour), take the bus to MK. Is it possible to park at BW before I check in and then check in that afternoon? I don't remember if you have to put a parking pass on your car at the deluxe resorts, I know you do at the value and moderate.

I don't have any plans for the afternoon of that day except to enjoy F&G at Epcot.
If it were me, I would just drive to BWV, early in the morning, leave my stuff in the car, get checked in, and take the bus to MK when done checking in. You shouldn't have any issue parking the car...you're on the list of guests checking in that day. Then, you can return to BWV after your MK and GF stuff, perhaps your room will be ready, and you can unload the car, get settled and then head to Epcot for the rest of the day.

I know Page 1 says there are stops. But it was also posted 2002. Is there Park to Park bus transportation ? Seems last time I was there, I did not see this.

I'm in the early (ok, way early :teeth:) planning stages for a family reunion type trip for my wife's family with up to 30 people (24 adults, 6 kids). Of those 30, only 1-2 have ever been to WDW (excluding my wife and I). Right now the thought is to probably stay at SSR in 2BR Villas. Since the vast majority of people have never been, I think it would be nice if their first experience going to MK was taking the ferry across Seven Seas Lagoon. I did this the first time I took my wife and she loved it.

Is there any realistic way to accomplish this using Disney Transportation and still be there for rope drop and opening ceremony?

With the number of people going, taxi's/minibuses are probably too cost prohibitive.

I can't think of a realistic way to do it using Disney transportation. A bus to MK would take you to the entrance, so you would then have to take the monorail or ferry to the TTC, then turn around and go back.

You could take the bus to Epcot and then take the monorail to the TTC and take the ferry over, but very few people would find having to spend 2 hours getting to the park "magical."

Just take the bus.

Oh well, thanks for the info. Looks like it's the bus it is. Thought it would be something fun for the first timers, but definitely not worth 2 hrs of commuting with 30 inlaws!! :scared:

I dunno - I think a monorail ride followed by a ferry ride culminating with Mickey & friends arriving on the steam train would be a rather magical adventure to start a visit to WDW. The monorail & the ferry are not just "getting to the park", they're sort of attractions in themselves, if you have the right attitude. Just as long as there aren't a lot of kvetchers in the group.

The Epcot monorail normally starts at 8, so you would want to be on the first train. That should get you to TTC by 8:20, which would give you 20 minutes to get to MK via ferry, in time for the start of the Welcome Show. Take note that the full Welcome Show does not play on MK EMH mornings, or mornings when the regular park opening is at 8.

I think you would want to be at the SSR bus stop by 7:15 at the latest, to be reasonably sure of making that first train out of Epcot.

The same info is still good. There is transportation between all parks....it could be by bus, boat, or monorail. The info on page 1 should give you what you need!

Trying to figure out the best way to get from Typhoon Lagoon to a 4:30 pm ADR at Trails End. From what searching I have done, there does not seem to be a direct bus from TL to FW, and it would involve going from TL to TTC and, then transferring to the FW bus, and then the internal bus to the Settlement.:crazy2: I also became even more confused after reading something about taking a bus from TL to Epcot after 2pm.:confused3 Is there a less painful way to accomplish this? Is there a direct bus from TL to WL, or to the MK/Contemporary where we can take the boat to FW? We will have 4 young children with strollers along so I'm a little concerned. Considered driving to FW, but I've heard that finding a parking spot can be a challenge at the FW lot, and we will have 2 mini vans to park.

You will take the bus to Epcot and take a bus from there to FW. The only simpler way is to take a cab (or 2 if you have more than 7 people.) If that seems better to you, you can look up cab fare at taxifarefinder.com

What transportation and what time will we need to leave to get to Beach Club from HS for 5:30 ADR at Cape May.

Thanks for your reply. I guess there is no easy way to get to Trails End. I'm beginning to think I should rebook this ADR to a MK day to make things less complicated.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered already. With the current bus routes how can I get to DTD from TL?
