**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Also a press release went out to travel agents that the Singalong will be extended "indefinitely". Or at least until the luster wears off. ;-)

That's how I read it, too. And it looks like Oaken's is moving, which signals to me that the singalong is moving, too. I don't think that the Premiere Theatre has anything close to it that could be a location for Oakens, but I'm guessing that the old Sounds Dangerous studio, which is essentially attached to the AIE theatre, is available for use. I'm wondering if that means the JTA signups will move as well? They can always use the Indiana Jones queue like they use during SWW, or even move the signups to right outside the building. When we first did JTA in 2011, they had the little padawans sign in and get prepped right outside Sounds Dangerous, so I guess it would be easy to move back to that model, especially in the cooler months.

Piecing together info from different sources, but it looks like the SAL is staying as-is. Oaken's is moving closer to it, and Oaken's is moving to near the exit of Backlot Tour. That strongly suggests that AIE as a location for SAL is out, unless I'm reading things wrong.

I don't see the luster wearing off any time soon.

That's how I would understand it too. From what I was told yesterday at DHS, the rumor is that the snow is moving to the American Film Institute (AFI) building. Though I did not hear that AIE building is totally ruled out. Who knows, maybe a much further in the future location?

Woohoo!!! I am so excited about these developments! We'll be there the first week of October and my girls will LOVE the singalong! So happy about this! :cool1::banana::cool1::banana:

We'll see. I bet we'll know before long....

I think keeping the sing along and Oaken in the backlot area is a good thing. That area back there is dead other than people going to lights, motors, action...and now that there's no end in sight maybe the SWW shows will move to the ABC theater...

That would work just fine, imho.

Is the sing along and potentially the parade an everyday thing, or will this be only on the weekends?

I really wish the announcement had more concrete info for what will be available (if anything) in October. Boo!

Just got off the phone w/ Disney internet help desk for FP+ assistance. They said frozen sing-along at DHS is not showing yet. They checked a bunch of dates in October and nothing. They read the release as being "Holiday Season" for its continuation. They checked various dates in Nov. because we are in the 60 day window for some of the days for the Mickey's very merry Christmas party, which the FP/internet help desk cm thought would be the holiday season. So he speculated that the sing-a-long might not be FP for this extension or just not posted to the system yet.

If anyone sees FP options available or any further info for the timing, please let us know ASAP. Many thanks!!!!!!

What is the AFI building? Is that what I keep calling Sounds Dangerous? Or something else?

ETA: I looked on a map and answered my own question. I agree that makes more sense than AIE.

See, I was thinking that the queues they have set up back there messes with Osbourne lights.

The venue doesn't matter much to me, it's just fun to speculate. As long as the opening show and fireworks are gone by the time I'm there in December, I'll be a happy camper! Finally, RD will be back to normal, and TSM will be able to operate until park close. :cool1:

Guess I should have read the TA announcement that someone posted in the freaking out over Maelstrom thread.

Your Clients now have even more ways to enjoy and experience the world of "Frozen," Disney's instant classic film, across Walt Disney World® Resort! "Frozen" has been a part of the Guest experience in a number of ways already and our Guests have both loved them and asked for more. We are pleased to share with you our latest plans to bring more "Frozen"-inspired experiences to our Disney theme parks.

We're starting construction on a brand new "Frozen" attraction at the Norway Pavilion at Epcot®. The new attraction, which replaces Maelstrom, will take your Clients to Arendelle and immerse them in many of their favorite moments and music from the film. The pavilion will also include a royal greeting location with Anna and Elsa. These "Frozen" elements are great additions to the Norway Pavilion, which showcases the country and region that inspired the film.

In order for work to begin on the attraction and character greeting area, the last day Guests can enjoy the Maelstrom attraction is Oct. 5, 2014. The project is anticipated to be complete by early 2016, and the Norway pavilion will remain open through construction.

The wintry wonder and magic of "Frozen" will also enchant Magic Kingdom® Park this holiday season. Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf join the festive holiday procession, "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade," along with a flurry of skaters, skiiers, and ice cutters from the Kingdom of Arendelle. This parade is offered during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, select nights Nov. 7-Dec. 19, 2014. The parade will also be presented daily Dec. 20-31, 2014.

Each evening beginning Nov. 5, 2014, Anna and Elsa will appear in a new show on the Castle Forecourt Stage at the heart of Magic Kingdom Park, as Queen Elsa uses her incredible powers to transform Cinderella Castle into a glimmering ice palace for the holidays.

And, if your Clients haven't experienced "Frozen Summer Fun LIVE!" at Disney's Hollywood Studios® yet, they are in for a special treat. Due to its popularity, two elements of this special event are now set to continue.

Your Clients can enjoy "For the First Time in Forever: A 'Frozen' Sing-Along Celebration," a hilarious and interactive presentation of the "Frozen" story - extended indefinitely! The show is presented up to 10 times per day in the park's Premiere Theater on Streets of America, and Disney Fastpass+ service is now available.

Wandering Oaken's Trading Post and Frozen Funland will be moving on Sept. 28, 2014 from Soundstage One to a new space, in Streets of America near the exit of the Studio Backlot Tour. The new Wandering Oaken's, expected to operate through the holiday season, will feature a larger-than-ever play area with real snow, plenty of "Frozen" merchandise, character cupcakes, and other treats.

MB, you're the man. I stand corrected. But this makes me extra super excited for the possibility of AIE becoming Star Wars something!

The line for the sing along will not affect the Osborne lights at all, so no worries there. They are using the Muppets line and a temporary line next to the Lightning McQueen meet.

jtowntoflorida, thank you for posting. I got an email about Frozen replacing Maelstrom along with sing along at HS...but not dates announced.

So...Ya...it is being extended.

But what they dont' say is if the Sing Along will continue without a break (assume so?) and if FP will be available. One step forward...here's hoping it will.

Singalong is showing up for fp+ but it gives another attraction when it processes it. So it's coming soon. ..
