**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

The way I read this, the Frozen activities at DHS will be on hiatus through October, and then pick back up during "the holiday season" (I assume it will coincide with the Osbourne Lights starting at DHS?)

“Frozen’s” popular characters will also have a bigger presence at Magic Kingdom Park this holiday season. In addition to the ongoing character appearances, Queen Elsa will use her powers to transform Cinderella Castle into an ice palace every night starting in early November. And Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party-goers can see Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf in “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.”

We’re extending some favorite elements of Frozen Summer Fun LIVE!, too, so that guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can continue singing along to “Frozen” songs with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. Wandering Oaken’s will set up shop closer to the show through the holiday season and will feature a larger play area with real snow (in Florida!).

Maybe someone will ask in the comments whether the Frozen stuff will continue at DHS through October, because it's not entirely clear. What is clear is that the parade is ending, which hopefully also means that wretched welcome show is ending, too, so hopefully DHS RD will be back to normal come October!

Yeah, not very clear in their announcement about any of it. And it still appears on their site that it ends Sept. 28

Thanks for the info! My 6 year old niece is going for her first visit in November and she will be absolutely thrilled to see the Sing Along and have the castle turned into an ice castle by Elsa! I mean the castle lights are breathtaking anyway, all on their own, but will be even extra special for her now because she will really believe that Elsa did the transformation! :woohoo: :cloud9:

Personally, I won't be there until December and I am just hoping they keep the Olaf cupcake. DD is there this week with a friend's family. They all got Olaf cupcakes on their DHS day and told me how yummy they were. I really really want one. :rolleyes1

The girls had fun ice skating and playing in the snow, but I'm thinking we can skip that in December, since we will likely have more than enough snow waiting for us here at home. :rotfl:

They really loved the snow on Hollywood Blvd though, and it looks so cool in their photos...palm trees and snow! What a combination! :wizard:

ETA: Now just wish me luck with getting her A&E fastpasses.

No mention of the fireworks, so I'm thinking that the only thing remaining will be the sing along and Oaken's funland and store

That's how I read it, too. And it looks like Oaken's is moving, which signals to me that the singalong is moving, too. I don't think that the Premiere Theatre has anything close to it that could be a location for Oakens, but I'm guessing that the old Sounds Dangerous studio, which is essentially attached to the AIE theatre, is available for use. I'm wondering if that means the JTA signups will move as well? They can always use the Indiana Jones queue like they use during SWW, or even move the signups to right outside the building. When we first did JTA in 2011, they had the little padawans sign in and get prepped right outside Sounds Dangerous, so I guess it would be easy to move back to that model, especially in the cooler months.

Thanks for posting the link. I will quickly update the first page before we head out for vacation.

Guess yesterday was really good-bye for the parade, until MVMCP parade.

Sounds like the rumors I've been hearing and what cm said yesterday is confirmed for the most part. I was told to expect to see the snow move to the AFI building and the sing-along to move to Idol's theater.

I am fine with them extending Fireworks and the sing along in October, if that is the case, but please not the opening show I keep hearing about!! At least I can avoid the sing along, as I am totally Frozened out!

HA! We were there in August, saw the snow and ice skating, and the kids are like, "Um, yeah, no thanks. We can do that at home!" Especially after the Winter of Hellish Polar Vortexes, the LAST thing they wanted to do in FL was play in the snow. I can see how that would be something novel for people who aren't buried under 8 feet of snow for 4 months out of the year, though!

From what was published by Disney today, the singalong and Oaken's (with snow but no ice rink) are continuing. Parade and fireworks are not. Nothing about when they start.

It looks like they will be starting castle lights in early November which is much earlier than usual.

I was actually thinking they might use the old audition space (it's a larger area than the Sounds Dangerous bldg) for Oaken. Remember that entire theater extends all the way to Sci Fi. It's going to be a wait and see at this point

Just checked for FP+ for the singalong and nothing yet for October. I'm hopeful though!

Not really. That's about normal.
