**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Just curious if anyone has put together an ideal "touring plan" for Frozen activities - we are doing the premium package but I'm trying to decide when to visit the Oaken's trading post - is that a RD thing to do? or has the craze died down for it to be an "anytime" thing to do?

I didn't see his comment and the queue takes up San Francisco street - the main area where Palooza occurs. I'll check and see if my DD has any further info...

I haven't been around much the last 24 Hours, but I texted Kenny and he said he responded to this thread. There is character Palooza too!!

I'll try to catch up after we get home and I get laundry started.

During the welcome aftet the parade Oaken’s was empty:cloud9:

Any word on if they are struggling to keep the Elsa costume in stock at Oaken's? Trying to get one for my 5 year old. We have a breakfast at Hollywood & Vine at 8. Should I race to get in line right away? Have the wait times been terrible?

For anyone who has a package for Aug or later in July- have they charged your credit card yet? I purchased ours last week and gave my card info but it hasn't shown up on my account yet:confused3 I have the reservation in MDE so I know the reservation was made. I'm just a little nervous since it's a prepaid event and they haven't charged me yet. It's crazy that I'm going to have to call Disney and beg them to take my money so I know we have our reservation!:rotfl:
Thanks to everyone who answered this for me:good vibes I booked on July 2 and it just hit my account this morning! Weird. I can rest now knowing that Disney has milked me of another $270 dollars:rotfl2:

Robo - Thank you for the awesome map! How did you do that? I would love to do something like that for all the parks since I am directionally challenged!

Also, using your map were would the parade / processional enter and exit?

Thanks!

Looking for some touring / planning advice for those who have been to the Frozen events WITHOUT the premium package:

I'm thinking of entering at RD and heading directly to the Premier Theater to get tickets for the 12:30 show (it's my understanding that they will distribute these at park opening) I feel like there has been some conflicting info out there. Can I go by myself or do I need my whole group?

Then depending on time / lines I was going to pop into Oaken's Trading Post. Around 10:00-ish I was going to head to TSMM with my 9:30 FP+ and have everyone enjoy a ride before scoping out a spot for the parade/processional around 10:30-ish. I have DD6 and DD8 so getting them as close to the rope is important to me. Do you think that is early enough? Is KTP's advice to use the American Idol steps a good idea for this event?

I think we will probably just follow the crowd to the stage area for the "Royal Welcome" trying to place my self on the side toward Star Tours since I heard that is were the processional will exit so my girls could possibly see it twice.

That would leave me about 30 or so minutes to do something prior to heading over to the theater for the Sing-a-Long. Maybe Voyage of the Little Mermaid? Is there something I should FP here? I read on the boards that lining up a half hour early for the show provided relatively good seats in the theater.

The show will end at approximately 1:00 pm. Not 100% sure how the rest of the day looks yet. It of course will depend on weather and how everyone feels. I would like to stay and take in a few more shows, but my group might need a break.

I'm still working on the whole afternoon / evening plan, but how does this sound so far for the morning? Even though I paid for the package it doesn't really sound like I will need it if I am willing to forgo some of the more traditional DHS attractions (not a TOT or RNRC person anyway!) From what I can tell I'm really paying $186 for ice cream and desserts. Would rather pay OOP for those if this plan will work.

TIA!

No sticks for Olaf today. I'm being told they are easier to stack without the stick. I know some of our Olaf melted off their sticks this weekend.

The processional begins at Sid Cahuenga's at the front of the park. It stops for the introductions at the stage and then reconvenes and ends near Star Tours.

Enjoying the park today. As of 1030 no lines for the merchandise or ice skating although both are pretty full inside. Both Anna/Elsa dresses were available as were olaf magic bands. The only thing not available were sven plushes. We went ice skating and were surprised how much fun we had! They also had hot cocoa for sale. I ended up talking with one of the managers and she said they put the frozen funland together in about 24 hrs. For that kinda turnaround i was very impressed. The manager also mentioned they are currently talking about expanding the frozen fun until march but nothing is set in stone yet. We also just went by to pick up a ticket for the sing a long and they let us pick the show time we wanted which was awesome. We are off to catch the parade. Having a great time!!!

Sorry... I asked this a few pages back, but no one answered :( so I thought I'd try again...
So what time are people lining up to check in at Min and Bills for a 10:00 check in for the package? I really don't want to have to be there for rope drop to line up to check in at 10. Between our FPs and our 12pm DIne With an Imagineer (a 2 hour lunch) we might be tight for a sing a long time, so I'd like to be able to still have some options. Would lining up by 9:30 be sufficient to get our choice of sing a long times? Thanks for your help!

You won't want to stake out a spot on the AI steps! The processional will only pass by this area AFTER the Royal Welcome. It's best to find a spot on Hollywood Blvd., watch the Welcome, and then move to the AI steps if there is time.

Did they have the Anna coronation dress or just the winter one?

It's little things like that (the bottle of melted snow) that make Disney so magical and keep us coming back. I think people often get so wrapped up in thinking 'magic' is getting a room upgrade or getting the ADR they wanted or something tangible, but its these cute little extra themey things that no other place would even think about doing. I love it :)

I was thinking about one of the other threads (but figured I would post a thought on this thread) --- regarding the "hype" surrounding the "Frozen" events and not really getting it---- I just wish everyone from the boards could have been at the dance party tnite--- I checked my watch--- was just about 9pm (est) when they played a "dance-mix" version of "Let It Go"--- sort of what life is all about --- never saw so many people having such a great time--- boys and girls--- young and old--- gave us the chills!!!

Love these thoughts! :thumbsup2

You're welcome.

1. I have worked up a few WDW maps in Photoshop.

2. I don't have that info. Anyone else?

Here's my first DHS fireworks viewing map attempt…
Anyone with input, please let me know.

Thank you Robo!

Could someone please confirm if there are Elsa dresses available in the DHS Frozen merchandise shop? I'm thinking I saw some in the photos somewhere but can't remember where. Thanks!

I've watched it on YouTube, and I can see Min and Bill's in the background, so I'm guessing it comes that path between Echo Lake and buildings 16 and 17 and then ends at the hat with a little welcoming ceremony.

I don't think you have to be there that early at all. It seems like a short line forms before 10:00, but I don't think it's necessary to wait in that line. For our planning purposes, we're planning on checking in around 10:30 (maybe earlier if we're hungry/thirsty by then), but we also don't feel the need to be front row for the processional. If front row is a priority for you, then plan to line up a few minutes before 10:00. I think 9:30 would be exceptionally early to line up.

I don't think you have to worry about getting your choice of singalong times regardless of when you check in. It seems there is plenty of reserved seating at each show, and relatively few premium packages sold.

For those who have done the package...is there a roped off area for the kids to sit to watch the processional like at SWW?
