**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

I'm wondering if the hype will die down with each day ... kinda hope that when we go on the 21st that some of the insanity for it will have worn off ...

How long was the Frozen parade? We have an ADR at Hollywood and Vine at 11:30 and I'm thinking about moving the ADR to noon.

I guess it's no different than my husband insisting on taking his own golf clubs on a cruise to Europe several years ago. :rotfl: I argued with him about it for days. It just seemed so silly to me since you can rent them. They ended up getting lost on our flight there, and didn't make it to the ship before we sailed. The clubs finally caught up with us when the cruise was almost over.

That's pretty funny and I have a number of golfing friends who would have done the same thing. Glad he got his clubs back, although that would have given him the perfect excuse to buy a new set. :rotfl2:

Question for those that have been through the event... Royal Welcome is 11:00 am. What is the length of this event? What I am trying to figure out is, if we get tickets for the 12:30 sing along, will we be able to squeeze lunch in between Royal Welcome and 12:30 Sing Along return time? As Premium Package holders, we won't have to return to Sing Along theater until like 12:10 I gather? Reason being we have a 5:15 at Prime Time, and so need to get lunch in early-ish. I would do a big breakfast and just skip lunch, but we will be moving from OKW to AoA that morning before checking in for Frozen Premium Package, and so sitting down to a big breakfast is not gonna happen.

Doing the package today. You would definitely have time for lunch.

You should be fine - I can't remember exactly what time the processional/state thing ended but I can tell you that we did the shopping part and fun part of Oaken's trading post, did all three of the photo opps and then went over to the Comissary and was there by 11:50. I want to say we were completely out of the Frozen parade area within ten -fifteen minutes. Even if it went 20 you will be right by Hollywood and Vine to check in.

Someone tell me about the ice skating.
How does it work? Are the lines running long?

We skated yesterday. We arrived at 340 and signed our waiver, paid and got wristbands for the 430 session. We then had enough time to stand in line and play in the snow for a bit prior to getting skates and helmets and starting the 430 session. They do 30 minute sets and then zamboni and clean the ice. Then they have a short skating show to the frozen soundtrack and then open the ice to the next session. They were letting people pay, sign waivers and sign up for later times if thy had conflicting plans. It was tons of fun. They even had a few CMs on the ice giving skaters tips and pointers. I highly recommend it. There are no lockers for bags though just cubbies so use them at your own risk. We used one for my bag and our shoes and all was fine. The process was very well set up and the CMs were all in character like Oaken. I ordered a bottle of water and she gave me a "bottle of melted snow"

It's little things like that (the bottle of melted snow) that make Disney so magical and keep us coming back. I think people often get so wrapped up in thinking 'magic' is getting a room upgrade or getting the ADR they wanted or something tangible, but its these cute little extra themey things that no other place would even think about doing. I love it :)

Exactly! When the CMs said "yoohoo!" While we were there it made me smile every time. It's the small stuff that makes it fun when you take the time to notice.

Also be sure to do the photo at the bridge in te entrance to the frozen Funland. It's a magic shot with Anna and Elsa. I had no idea until I logged on last night to look at my photos. My kids flipped their kids seeing them in our photo!

I heard the "yoohoo" on one of the press videos that walked through the whole ice rink area. I thought that was SO CUTE, too!!!!! And thanks for the PP magic shot tip! :thumbsup2

For anyone who has a package for Aug or later in July- have they charged your credit card yet? I purchased ours last week and gave my card info but it hasn't shown up on my account yet:confused3 I have the reservation in MDE so I know the reservation was made. I'm just a little nervous since it's a prepaid event and they haven't charged me yet. It's crazy that I'm going to have to call Disney and beg them to take my money so I know we have our reservation!:rotfl:

Mine wasn't charged either...but I have Bank of America and the money is just being held..not finalized

I take it you have not been to Universal?

They get very into the theming there, too, especially the Harry Potter staff. Part of why Universal and Disney stand out above everyone else, I think.
