WOO!!! All the best on your flight, I hope your trip is fantastic!

Thank you, just need to get over this feeling if of panic I am having and I will be right, feels like some one is sitting in my chest and I can't breath...need to relax..

I just realized I need to get new bathing suits (kids had massive growths spurts over the summer) . Any idea where they might be in store?

Saw them out at Walmart already. We got my son a new one at Gymboree a couple weeks ago...it was on clearance for something like $3 or $4.

Awesome, thanks! I have a buttload of Target gift cards, I will check there first. Normally I buy ahead, but the older kids both grew 2 inches in 2-3 mo, it was a bit crazy and towards the end of summer, so I missed out.

:crazy2::faint: Just keeps getting worse and worse :(

I know, that's why I had to exchange some today before it got even worse! Our $ is sitting at $0.79 to the US right now.

Got my titer results back .... fully immune to Measles! Woohoo! :thumbsup2

Hooray, that's great news!

Hi there! We are excited to be going to Disneyland Feb 6th-10th, staying at Desert Inn! It will be myself along with my DS 13, DD 19, DD 23, son-in-law 23 and grandson 2 years 9 months. :goodvibes DH wanted to stay home this time. I doesn't like going as often as we do. :confused3

Welcome! I've added you to the list on the first page, jump on in and join the conversation!

Bags almost totally packed, just have to pack bathroom essentials combs, brushes, toothbrushes etc.

Daughter has one shift left at work today, clean the house tomorrow, pack the car tomorrow afternoon, relax tomorrow night and set off Saturday lunch time.

OMG this is really happening!!!

Ok.... at prices like that does it include both the top and the bottom or the one or the other? Lol
Well, unless it's a one piece suit of course. In which case, can you really swim in it? I ask this because my older auntie laverna, she is from Surrey, England, Anyway, when she came over to the states to visit me, then off to DLR we went, she needed a swimsuit. So, we went to a local discount retailer, no, not the Dollar Tree, although we did go there later, but like man not for a swim suit. So where was I? Oh yes.... okay so anyway off we went shopping for a swimsuit. She found the cutest little polka dot swimsuit that you could have ever seen. Blue polka dots, against a white background, including my aunty because she is like Snow White. It had cute little flowers on the straps, and a couple of little ties at the waist. Minnie mouse would be envious lol. She tried it on and it fit perfectly. Gave it a simple wash, then packed it. Well! I tell ya! She went swimming at the Disneyland hotel pool, and as she was about to get out of the pool, so we could go and visit Trader Sam at his bar. See now don't be jealous, but we are personal friends of his. Anyway, it was nothing short of amazing, just about all of those polka dots fell clean off! It was really quite shocking to say the least! Her swimsuit ended up looking like Swiss cheese. And all of these bits of fabric with the dots on them floating upon the pool! She was simply mortified I tell ya! You haven't seen anything until you see an older lady with very pasty white skin turning a remarkable shade of what I might say blush red, but it was really more like a peculiar crimson color. Suffice it to say that she kept her fanny in the pool, while one of her cabana boys gave her a towel, then a robe. Fortunately, we were pretty much the only ones in the pool area at the time. Thank God! :faint: Just in case you might be wondering, those cabana boys were completely dedicated to her, because she rents them by the hour. And she also tips them most generously. Just ask anyone. :) She might even end up engaged to one of them. I think it may be Julio. I hope so anyway, because I love that guy for me auntie. If she remarries lt will be an awesome Disney wedding.

Hi All,
It's my first time posting, but I've been enjoying following a few threads in preparation for our upcoming trip on February 10-13. My bags are totally packed already!! I am A. 31, and I'm traveling with my dh, 51, his adult son and daughter in law, and their two girls, 10 and 12. We're staying right across the street at the BW Park Place Inn for 4 nights.

I can't wait to show my step grandkids Disneyland and California Adventure! No one else in our party is as into Planning as I am, so I get to plot our adventures! I think I've loosely scheduled a time for everything we want to see- Aladdin, Fantastic (via regular fastpass- no way I want an overpriced chicken breast supper!) Mickey and the Magical Map, Radiator Springs ONCE A DAY!, It's Tough to be a Bug, both parades, and as many characters as we can take dorky pictures with because I prepaid for my Photopass. Anyone have any unique poses for a group of 6? :)

I made a Disneyland bingo game for the kids to play while we wait in line- with items like " find someone with Star Wars Ears" We ordered snacks and drinks from Von's, to be delivered on the night we arrive. I have all the appealing sounding menus written down and a full list of necessary snacks.

I can't wait for some warm California sun!

The price we paid at Gymboree (this is not a cheap store, in general) was for my son's swimsuit, as I said. Which is just swim trunks. He's 16 months old and the swim trunks are 18 month size. They were last year's trunks which is why they were so cheap. The new suits were more in the $15+ range.

Love Gymboree sales! At least half of my kids clothes are Gymboree. My mom just bought my daughter a suit from there and it was only 30% off. I was like Mom!!! That is way too much. It will go for like $7 eventually. I guess Gymboree and Carters make their money off Grandmas who will pay full price!

Hi and welcome to the thread, I've added your info to the list on the first page!

It sounds like you have a great plan for your days in the park, everything on the list is totally doable and I love the Bingo idea!

Character Breakfasts?? Which is the best for a little girl to attend??

We are at Disneyland Feb 27, 28 and March 1. I am thinking of taking DD to a Character Breakfast, but, I am reading so many conflicting reports as to which one is the best, and will be open during this time period.

Looking for input from my fellow February traveller friends as to which one to go to, about Reservations etc.

Also, Photo Pass. I registered for the Photo Pass on the Disney website, but did not see an option to Pre-Pay/Order a PP before traveling. Where would one find this if not in the Photo Pass area?

If Ariel's is open, then I would go for that one for sure!

Otherwise, I would put in my vote for the Minnie & Friends at the Plaza Inn.

edited to add: best bet is to call the Disney Dining phone number and make the reservation that way. I've never had much luck booking online.

Ariel's Grotto is probably what i'd choose for my dd3, but it will be closed on your dates (we'll be there the same time). For whats left, I would definitely choose Minnie & Friends. It has the biggest selection of characters and it's right in the park. To me, it's definitely worth the cost as all the food is pretty much the same to me.

Ariels for sure! We did lunch there & liked that best. It will be open during your stay. :goodvibes

:scratchin Question?....I did some more shopping to get some items crossed off my list today...Does anyone know if spray (areosol) sunscreen is ok to take on plane? And if so does it need to go in carryon or checked luggage?

My post actually was just an example of my brand of insanity. Lol
Apologies for any real or unreal ;) confusion. :)
