*****Official February 2015 Thread! Come check in and chat!*****

Well, the hours could still be accurate but the Early Admission hours maybe haven't been added yet. (It's not relevant to me, off site, so I never pay much attention to those.)

The Magic Morning listed on the 7th isn't the same thing as Early Admission though. Magic Morning is for people with 3+ day hoppers bought ahead of time.

I am guessing they just haven't added Early Admission info yet for those day. But there's a good chance the other info on that site is accurate. It's the one the Disneyland twitter people linked me to.

Sorry, I guess my wording was a bit messy.

I called the early opening "Early Admission" because technically it is "Extra Magic Hour" for California Adventures on the 6th (that is only available to guests of one of the three onsite hotels) and "Extra Magic Hour" and "Magic Morning" for Disneyland. Magic Morning only occurs for guests who have a 3 or more days Park Hopper and is only good for Disneyland. Because of the two different names for getting into one or the other park an hour before everyone else, I just called them both Early Admission.

But you are right, it is possible that the hours listed there for the 8th onwards are correct but given the fact that on the 10th there is no Magic Morning or Extra Magic listed and the hours are from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm but Fantasmic! is listed as being on at 9:00 pm, I have to assume that the calendar is not in fact correct! :badpc: It would be cool to watch F! an hour after the park closes but I doubt that is going to happen.

Feb10

I wish Disneyland would get their act together and post one single accurate calendar but until that magical day arrives, I am just going to assume that every calendar I see is merely a guesstimate as opposed to fact!

Yeah, the multiple calendars thing is really annoying. And honestly, so are all of the names for the extra hours...haha!

I am guessing that the weekday hours will be 10-8 for our days. But then one day lists it a bit different so who knows. It's driving me crazy.

We don't really care about shows or parades so I never even pay attention to that section of the calendar...ha!

I give up in regards to the calendars. Have no idea at all. I do know I am going to be devastated if the Castle is closed/covered.

I want a night time photo of us in front of the Castle, all lit up. I don't want to have to photo shop us into a pic of it. I can stay at home and do that.

Yeah, if this was a once in a lifetime trip for us, I'd be pretty upset about that too. :(

We've decided we're just going to make the most of things. We'll get a photo in front of the castle even if it's covered in a tarp because it will at least be funny. And I think I am going to take a photo of each ride closure sign...ha!

Clara- my kids loved the parades as toddlers. The DCA one does not require any real advance seating either for a curb side seat. The Disney Junior show is super cute, even if he doesn't know the characters. It is a puppet show and has lots of songs (well, the past version did at least). Tip- don't sit close like we did. My daughter got antsy and we moved back and you could see much better from the middle to back!

I am also assuming the EE hours have not been loaded yet. I will be VERY unhappy if there is no EE. Last year, for that Monday 2/9, the hours were 9-9. I wouldn't mind 10-8 because then we could go to the DVC Mixer at 8AM, but I am not giving up EE to go to it! The two calendar thing is weird. I am going with the one you can easily get to from Disneyland.com, but that other one from Twitter is more informative, at least right now!

Clara- what day are you doing Big Thunder BBQ? In playing with the reservation site, it looks like it is going down 2/9. We might do it for lunch on 2/8, but are likely waiting till last minute to decide and if it's full, well, it's full!

We may watch a parade but we won't wait around for good seats. And I'd like to see the fireworks.

We have a lunch reservation on the 8th at Big Thunder BBQ.

Thanks for the welcome! Yes are escaping the cold and enjoying some CA weather. And hopefully some rides? A little nervous as I see more and more refurbs but we will love it anyways. BTW also HUGE Dr. Who fan.

I have a split stay end of January beginning of February. So I had to wait until this Sunday for them to put up the hours for my last two days. They will load the hours for the week of the 8th on Sunday or Monday.

We are hoping the closures won't bring the whole holiday down, but the Castle...really?? Could have been anything else, just not that...

We are in the US for 12 full days, so hoping things that are closed in early Feb, reopen before we leave...fingers crossed

Perfect- thanks! DL is not made for crazy planners like me, haha!

Today I am wearing my Dr. Who / Frozen mashup shirt, yesterday was the one with the seagulls from Finding Nemo! I love Karen Hallion's Dr. Who Disney mashups and I think at last count I owned a half dozen of them.

Nice! I made my friend a onsie for her baby that said " My name is Stormageddon Dark Lord of All."

We almost bought one like that on Etsy when our son was younger. A friend of ours did get him this one....(December 2013)....

I love how so many of us February folks are Doctor Who fans.

Hello, I googled the castle closure and on dlandlive.com I found this, "Closing January 19th, Reopening Date is Not Yet Known; closed through at least early February 2015, The calendar does not specify if this is a closure of only the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough or the entire castle. In 2004 the entire castle was walled off and covered in tarps for a complete refurbishment leading up to the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland in 2005" Fingers crossed, if it does close, it is back open before 12/2

Thanks....we'll be there 22/2 so I hope it won't be covered then. I hope they can get away with not covering it at all so it doesn't spoil anyone's holiday!

I had heard they were going to put 'diamonds' all over the castle. Which is kind of similar to the 50th where they put gold and crowns on it. So I am thinking it will be tarped at some point. But who knows when or how long.
