*****Official February 2015 Thread! Come check in and chat!*****

I don't have nearly as far to fly as you, but I completely understand & I will have my usual (dramamine dosessss-LOL) on board.:goofy: I will keep my focus on California & the beauty & fun that awaits.

Thanks for understanding, for some ppl, they don't get why I am so scared, so it is good to know I am not alone.

I have my good drugs to get me through, I get quite air sick - not pretty at all - and will keep my focus on the main prize - Disneyland

I'm sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel better I've had to test out the sick bag in front of me too before. I'm a closet scaredicat, no one knows (excepts my husband).

He still laughs to this day...because we hadn't flown in quite a while (3+ years) and how quickly he even he forgot (because I don't really talk about it)...both my kids started having trouble during a bumby takeoff/landing with their ears etc and he leaned over and said "Honey is their something you can do for them?!" :rotfl:Only to realize my eyes where closed and I was sweating profusely and gripping my chair, unable to help anyone. :rotfl2:

He loving jokes that "his girls" (me and our DD's)are high maintenience to fly with...seems they have trouble too w/ take off/landing as me (they mostly get nausea from turblulence....Which I think is weird, since Honest to God I never talk about it). For me its a combination thing...I've always have gotten motion sickness, definietely have clautrophobia, and then there is the flying thing and Turbulence-LOL. For me a little bit of dramamine (3 tabs-LOL) goes a long way, I'm cool as cumcumber. :goodvibes

Your definietly not alone, some of us just hide it more. But I'm sure you won't be the only one. Just remember everyone has fears, its No big deal, stay possitive and think of the Prize :cheer2:pixiedust:

I will be posting on FB and Instagram, I always do lol I go by the same name on Instagram as I have on here, if you want to add me or follow me or whatever you call it. I only use Instagram for vacation stuff because I like their picture filters, so I don't know a whole lot about it lol

I love instagram, though be warned, I tend to post pics to a jewelry group I participate in too. My username is BombshellShocked.

I am following you two! :) My Instagram is just photos and video of my son. And I've been doing a daily Disneyland photo as a countdown to vacation. I started around 250 days. Now I'm on 34. Eek!

My daughter loves to fly, she is always the one calming me down, since she was 10...she now gives me a hard time about it.

I am getting better though, I even sneak a quick peak out the window, but never down, I look across the sky...lol

I didn't even bother with the sick bag, I spent most of a 4 hour flight - sydney to perth in the toilet, that was my first flight, have since gotten some better and wonderful air sick tablets, which have done wonders for my poor tummy.

On a brighter note - WE ARE ALL GOING TO DISNEYLAND THIS YR!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERY ONE!!!

:woohoo::cheer2: HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! :cheer2::woohoo:

Love that we can all say we are going to Disneyland next month!! So excited!

@ClaraOswald....did Disneyland ever get back to you on Twitter about the castle being covered?

Hello, I googled the castle closure and on dlandlive.com I found this,

"Closing January 19th, Reopening Date is Not Yet Known; closed through at least early February 2015,
The calendar does not specify if this is a closure of only the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough or the entire castle. In 2004 the entire castle was walled off and covered in tarps for a complete refurbishment leading up to the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland in 2005"

Fingers crossed, if it does close, it is back open before 12/2

Happy New Years!

Man I hope that is not the case. I won't be there until 2/27 but really hoping Castle not closed/covered.

I have been up most the night trying to make our Blue Bayou/Fantasmic reservations online for 3/2. :badpc: But they were for some reason not available open these days...even ended calling once they opened. The reservation person was really accomindating & gave me a Blue Bayou/Fantasmic reservation for 2/28 instead (wasn't able to reserve this one either online--think it was for different reasons). This was incredible, because it is Sat night Dapper Days-so feel very LUCKY!!! He spoke to supervisor and no one was sure why. 3/1 & 3/2 were not showing/or able to book.

So I was ever so thankful even if on a different resie date & now very EXCITED! I haven't eaten at Blue Bayou since I was age 12 (on my very 1st Disney trip). I'm very excited to take my DD's & DH and Fantasmic will be a bonus! :cool1:

ClarasWorld I tried to pm you to get your Instagram name and it won't go through. Mine is AydenMom. I'll definitely be sharing pictures via Instagram.

Also, I'm not sure who is updating the front page but can you add my new dates? 2/2-2/7 Park Vue Inn.

Thanks! Happy New Year Everyone!

Well I just looked online & it shows Sleeping. Beauty Castle being "unavailable" starting Feb 8th-BOO! Hoping this is wrong or just needs updating.
https://disneyland.disney.go.com/attractions/disneyland/sleeping-beauty-castle-walkthrough/

They have not posted hours yet past the 7th, so no rides are "available" yet. Don't lose hope yet!

It's not accurate. If you look at the dates for Feb 6-9, you can see that on the 6th it has Early Admission hours for California Adventures from 8-9 am and on the 7th it shows Early Admission hours for Disneyland from 7-8 am. When you look at the next day, there are no Early Admission hours for either Disneyland or California Adventures which is not correct. Either DL or DCA has early admission every single day.

We should be able to see the correct hours for the 8th tomorrow but the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough is on the refub list as of January 19th.

Here is the calendar for Jan 16-19 and you can see at the bottom that the Castle starts showing up on the 19th.

Well, the hours could still be accurate but the Early Admission hours maybe haven't been added yet. (It's not relevant to me, off site, so I never pay much attention to those.)

The Magic Morning listed on the 7th isn't the same thing as Early Admission though. Magic Morning is for people with 3+ day hoppers bought ahead of time.

I am guessing they just haven't added Early Admission info yet for those day. But there's a good chance the other info on that site is accurate. It's the one the Disneyland twitter people linked me to.
