*****Official February 2015 Thread! Come check in and chat!*****

We will be at Disneyland this coming Saturday-Sunday. Anyone have any sense of what kind of wait times we should expect for rides like Big Thunder, Buzz Lightyear, California Screamin', etc.? Thanks

This is (literally) the 5th attempt at posting this info. For some reason, when I try to post today, nothing happens.

Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in DTD is having a "Mardi Gras Royalty contest" in which two people will be crowned King and Queen on Fat Tuesday (February 17th). The entry period is today, February 3rd, through Wednesday, February 11th. You must "like" the Jazz Kitchen Facebook page and enter the sweepstakes to win.

The winner receives VIP seating and a $100 gift certificate to Jazz Kitchen on 2/17/15.

More details can be found on the Jazz Kitchen Facebook page -- HERE.

Just entered Thanks!!!!

Still working on my Von's order... maybe you all can help me figure out when to time it. So we fly in Friday and are in a studio at the DVC side of GCH (small fridge) for the first night and then are in a 1 bedroom with full kitchen fromSaturday- Wed. I will be bringing a suitcase of food since we have free bags flying Southwest.

Should I have the order come in Saturday? Or just have it come in Friday and hope and pray it all fits in the mini fridge? We are planning on eating most of the meals at the villa.

So, I am about 75% packed, need to pick up the rental car on Wednesday, drive down Thursday and yesterday DD (5) came home with a fever. :sad2: Hopefully it is a quick bug that will pass and not spread to the rest of us! :crazy2:

Yikes, hoping for a quick recovery for your DD!

Sorry, I'm not sure but hopefully someone else can answer this! Big Thunder and California Screamin' both have fastpasses, Buzz does not but the line always seems to move quickly. Did you mean to ask about Toy Story Midway Mania in DCA? If so, then that ride also does not have FP and the line is usually quite long. If TSMM is on your must ride list, then I would definitely head there first thing.

I'll be at the airport in 24 hours! Here's to hoping the workday goes quickly!

Yay! I hope your day is going quickly and is almost over! :D

We've had good luck riding TSMM first thing in the morning and during fireworks/WOC. Obviously WOC isn't going right now but fireworks are on over the weekend so might work out well.

I've never ordered from Vons, but I think I would have it get delivered Saturday so I don't have to pack it all up again to move it and just eat from the suitcase stash the first night/ morning.

People can post on the full website? Not good, because the mobile site isn't user friendly. I can't type at all, using the rich text editor. Blah

20 more days!!! I have started gathering things up that need to be packed and we have been buying the snacks we want to bring. Sunday 02/22 is going to be spent in DTD. We are eating at Tortilla Jo's, will go to World or Disney, and I for sure want to check out Marcelines but does anyone else have any must go to stores to check out?

So handy hint in the meantime - in Google, you can put your search terms like "Photopass" with the code site:disboards.com and it will search within the disboards:

Just returned from a great 4 day trip. 70-75 degree weather. Crowds weren't bad but 60 minute waits on big rides. Sat and Sun. Which we avoided or did single rider.

We had a great time with 22 rides and 19 character meet and Greets on Sat. We even took a 4 hour break. 10 of those characters were at Plaza Inn. That was the best Character dinner we have ever done. We did Goofy's the night before and I likes Minnie's much better.

We saw Anna and Elsa on Friday but we heard from a few people Sat and Sun that Elsa was missing.

Wow, it sounds like you had a great trip!

I read that Canadians cannot order from Von's which is unfortunate. Not that I would want to order much, but it would be so much more convenient than taking a taxi to Walmart or Target to get $20-$30 worth of staples for a child and adult.

I tried to look on the Von's USA website but, got redirected to the Canadian site so could not see any information about ordering from Von's. Any tips from a Canadian who has used them? I have read about using the Zip Code of the hotel, but also read that one needs a credit card issued in the USA.

On another note, was in my local Walmart and although they have "summer" clothes for women, there was basically nothing for girls. I have 3 weeks and hope I can get DD some new shorts and some character clothing. Target Canada is starting liquidation this week, so maybe I will luck out there.

Got my measles booster today, so I should be all good to go for the trip.
