Ouch! That's bad when Hope is having more fun with the substitute teacher.

She fell out of step a few times.

It also sounds like she is making a dig at Maks that she's able to learn the dance so quickly with the sub teacher. Was she reading our thread saying Derek is so much of a better teacher?

Not necessarily nicer but if you do a search on utube and see Bruno and Len on the UK version they are much more constructive and Bruno even stays in his seat and calmly gives his comments and you can even understand what he is saying it isn't buried in all his crazy adjectives and antics. They seem more reserved tonight.

Of course, Derek and Ricki were great. I liked Hope's dance. I thought she was a LOT better.

Wow, Maks was really cranky during rehearsal and the way he treated Hope. It showed on ALL the other dancers' faces.

It was interesting to see Derek step right up and take over teaching Hope when Maks walked out.

Hope, now having been taught by two other teachers, her dislike of Maks is really showing. When she let go of Maks at the end of their individual dance segment, you could tell she was over him.

Just watched Team Tango. I thought that Nancy did very well! It's too bad she hasn't had a chance to dance the tango yet. She would be pretty good at at .

My thoughts exactly. Maks was waaaay cranky and so rough with Hope. Did you all see him smack her shoulders down during group rehearsal? I'd have smacked him back. Then he storms off. And I loved how Derek stepped in. Class act IMO, very professional. Hmm, maybe I'm over Maks too then.

I couldn't vote for Maks this week. Hope was too stiff and fell out of steps in the first dance. And Maks' attitude turned me off.

Ya, I couldn't throw any votes his way either tonight. His attitude was really offensive towards Hope. I wonder if the reason she's been sooo stiff in the past is that Maks is much more difficult to work with than the footage shows. The whole atmosphere with Hope and that other dancer was very upbeat and different. Maks looked annoyed at both of them too.

Derek showed alot of class by stepping in the way he did. He was very gentle with her and it makes me think that the reason his partners go so far is that he is observant of them and knows how to work with them and help them through the process.

Yes, Nancy is holding her own. She's really improving each week.

She was on Showbiz Tonight, again on Friday. The host, AJ Hammer, was asking her and Tristan about the Bruno controversy.

When do they rehearse, considering all the HLN TV shows they appear on? Plus, she has her own show she needs to be prepared for.

AJ cornered her, asking if she thought Bruno was too mean to Chaz. Nancy paused, deciding how best to answer. Funny for Nancy who usually has an opinion for everything. I think she decided it would better for her if she sided with the judges. She said, no, she didn't think Bruno was being mean. (Considering Nancy is a prosecutor who goes after people, maybe she has a different standard for what is mean. ) But, she did say she loves Chaz and would hate for anyone to hurt Chaz.

As for the group ddances, I was AMAZED at how much better Hope was in her Paso than in her Samba. Maybe it's because Derek stepped in and helped her when Maks stormed out?

I agree, that shoulder shove was unnacceptable..and I'm pretty sure Hope could kick Maks...ummm, arsssseeee. That being said tho, Hope just doesn't have the flow/rhythm to go much further to me.

Yes, then he said both of their footwork was atrocious, and you could see their energy change. He brought them right down.

I never liked Maks until last season. I always thought he was a bit arrogant. But, last season, Kirstie really won him over and made him relax and have fun. He became really different.

I guess old Maks is back. Maybe, it's some moody, broody, Russian thing? Their novels & plays are always filled with angst and suffering. Maybe Maks can't have a good time for too long, or allow other people to? That they must suffer for their art?

I want to like Nancy for Tristan sake but she may be going. Hope, I like her, just do. David, just want to pinch his cheeks and hope for the best. Rikki, while she is good she aught to kiss Derek. He makes her look awesome. JR, crap, hearing not so good things about his arrogance that makes me judegemntal Rob... crap, not a fan but enjoy some of his dances. Really not a fan of Cheryl. Going to bed to ponder those that I want on dancing with the stars.... Patrick Dempsey, Hugh Jackman, Richard Armitage (my favorite), Nichole Kidman, Anna Paquin, Lee-ann Rimes..... just to name a few.
