I took it as Orsen "no", as in don't hit me, shoot me, kill me....??

That's what I assumed as well. Parrots repeat what they hear.

I'm confused about the whole Orson/Bree/Mike/Susan thing. Does anyone remember what happened last season. I also assumed that his wife was dead and that was her buried in the ground. But that was going on "now" and the incident when she left and was presumably killed was a year ago right? So that couldn't be her. Unless she was in the asylum before and he just now killed her.

Laurie Metcalf was the neighbor from Lakeview Drive. She was the one who found Orson mopping the floor and heard the bird say "Orson No". She later showed up at the engagement party warning Bree that Orson killed his wife.

It hasn't been explained why Orson ran over Mike, other than that Mike thought he knew him from jail. Kayla was concieved before Lynnette and I believe there was a blood test, I could be off a bit on that though. I love the new season so far!!!

Mike went to the dentist about a toothache (which turned out to be Orson) and Mike mentioned he looked familiar and they talked about Orson's credentials on the wall. Mike thought he knew the name from "back in the jail days", but Orson blew him off. Orson apparently IS the guy Mike is remembering, but doesn't want Mike to know/remember it. (MY guess is he was in jail when Mike was for murder or something of the sorts). I also took the bird's comment "Orson No" to mean the bird was repeating Alma...as they showed the bird could do. I'm attaching a link to our local news website who had an interview with Terri Hatcher. Terri said (in the interview) that a main character would be killed off this season (and i THINK it was before end of season)....could Marcia Cross be leaving because of the twins coming?? I really hope not, cuz she is a huge part of that show....AND a funny part...although...where is her story going after we learn who Orson is???

Did you even mention that Gaby and Carlos go to Chinatown area and look for Xiou Me? Who knew that the Wisteria Lane town had a Chinatown? Anyway, they go to Chinatown and Gaby goes to a specific restaurant. Gaby then asks a waitress/owner about Xiou Me. The waitress/owner who is holding a tray of food states that she talked to Xiou Me and that Xiou Me stated that Gaby threatened her with deportation. (Gaby did). Gaby tried to weasel her way out of that but Carlos looked shocked. There was a verbal exchange between waitress/owner and Gaby. Gaby eventually stated that she could call the health dept to have them look at the restaurant. The next shot you see is Gaby and Carlos leaving the restaurant and Gaby has a lot of food on her shirt. (implied that the waitress/owner threw the tray at Gaby)


Also when Edie was showing the Young house to two impeccable men, (which would be a fantastic storyline, BTW) she is talking about storage in the house. Edie opens up the closet and find Xiou Me there eating sandwiches.

On of the few last scenes shows Gaby and Xiou Me back in the house with Gaby waiting on her.

I read the update and didn't see the full detail that I put down (such as the health department) and the fact that it was two men...

I don't hear Charmin or Charmaine... I hear Xiou-Mei. If others are hearing Charmin or Charmaine, it could be a totally different character. I have no idea who Charmaine is, but I sure know who Xiou-Mei is!

After listening to Terri's interview....I'm guessing it's Mike or Edie who may meet demise in the "hostage" situation. Another guess would be Bree...given Orson's "shadiness"....

All that I am asking for is accurate titles of characters. With all the characters coming and going, it is IMPERATIVE that correct characters or actual names be used. For example, I used Laurie Metcalf's name because I didn't recall her character name and didn't want to be wrong about it.

If it were my name, I'd be offended by the absoluete butchering of Charmaine instead of Xiou-Mei. Its like Charlie and Shirley... two totally different names/sounds. Charlie/Shirley--similiar sounds but totally different meanings.

I teach speech to autistic students so I place a lot of emphasis on word sounds/tongue placement. I can hear the difference clear as day.

OK, seriously Christmas Elf takes a lot of time (I'm sure) to post those recaps. I certainly know who she is talking about when she says Charmain. Who cares if she's not spelling it correctly. I certainly wouldn't know how to spell it without looking it up. Maybe a discreet PM would be more effective than a public complaint on what's supposed to be a fun, friendly thread. If you don't like what she's posting then go ahead and your own recap.

But, I just can't understand why, if one is unsure of a name, they would actually argue the point????? The problem seems to be that this name has been clarified and corrected, and continues to be butchered.

ChristmasElf - I'm a librarian and am at work now, and when I read your recap about the demise of the poor parrot, I let out a really loud laugh!!!!! I got a few dirty looks from patrons and I had to show my coworker because she gave me a strange look (she watches DH and found it equally funny!)
Your recap was great, BTW.

Wow, I can't believe people are getting bent out of shape about a misspelling of a fictional character's name of all things! It is extremely nice of Christmas Elf to do the recaps. She takes her own time to do it and is not obligated to do so. It wouldn't surprise me if she decides it's not worth it when others are picking apart her posts. Personally, I have been very grateful for her recaps more than once after missing an episode.

Christmas Elf~ I for one completely appreciate the time you put into doing the recaps and for some reason my reading comprehension actually works well enough to know what you meant when you typed Charmain (or however you spelled it, lol!)

Oh, and she also did in fact mention the 2 men (not that that was a huge storyline to begin with...at least not yet). She even went as far as describing them as 2 gay men. But please, by all means, make another poster feel bad over something so petty when she was only trying to be nice to begin with!

Feel free to pick apart my post if I made any grammatical/spelling errors. I am sure most of the board is able to comprehend the meaning either way.

Moving on (hopefully!), I wish Mike would wake up already! He is my eye candy of the show. And I certainly hope they don't kill off either him or Bree. If I had my choice on a main character to leave the show it would be Edie as I don't feel she is as important to the show as the other characters, but that's just me.

I also took it as saying "Orson, NO!" when the parrot said it. Loved last night's episode and can't wait for more!
