Did anyone catch the preview tonight on ABC? I just about died laughing when Bree was in bed with Orson and when he asked why she wouldn't do a certain thing in bed, responded with "because I'm a republican!" LOL!

The new season introduces us to "Lakeview Drive" and a couple of new faces as well.
Seems Orson (the Dentist that Bree met last season, is a resident of this street) anyway, Orson is married to Alma and they live on Lakeview Drive. Alma is the meticulous wife that obediently does as Orson has taught her, icluding stacking the grocery items all in alphebetical order, folding the towels a certain way, and in between all her chores, she talks to her parrot "Baby"
When Orson leaves for work, Alma decides she is going to leave her husband. So she packs her bags and grabs the bird cage and heads to the door.
Oooopsie! Not so fast! Seems Alma trips, drops the bird cage and the parrot escapes to the ceiling area. Just then Orson returns to the house and sees his wife attempting to "fly the coop". This is all we will see of Alma tonight.
The next day a nosy neighbor drops in and observes Orson, a mop and a talkative birdie singing a dark tune.
The neighbor listens to the bird say "Orson No" a couple of times before he shows her the door. He then proceeds to take an empty bird cage to the trash. Bye Bye Birdie, bye bye.
Next we see the words 6 months ago on the screen.
It is raining on Wisteria Lane. They now remind us of the relationship Bree is in with Orson-that day was to be the first date with Orson. We see the two of them kissing on the rain.
This occurs as Gaby is filing for divorce with Carls as Gaby is upset about his affair with the Chinese maid that is also playing the surrogate for the Solices child.
We are also reminded of Toms love child and Lynettes having to cope with the love childs annoying mother.
This is all going on as Susan is running to her car in the rain to go visit a comatose Mike in the hospital. (remember, he was hit by a car driven by Orson-which no one knows he did)
At this same busy moment we see Edie Britt putting a For Sale sign up on Paul Youngs property as he is in jail and not needing the house any longer.
Okay. Now we are at TODAY
Edie is holding an Open House on Paul Youngs property and has a small crowd at the house looking about. Another busy body is snitching to a potential buyer all about Paul and the history of the house. This act promptly gets the busy body tossed out the door by Edie.
Next door, the Scavos are all dressed up for the holidays and getting a family picture taken. Seems Tom's illegitimate daughter and her annoying mother are also planning to be in the picture, much to Lynettes disgust. After a small argument, Lynette decides she will just take the picture and have Miss Annoying cropped out later. At the last second though, this idiot mother throws herself across the couch ruining the shot and Lynettes cropping plans.
Gabrielle is waiting hand and foot on the pregnant maid. When the maid demands crackers for her soup, Gaby informs her that they are out of crackers, but she put a pickle on her tray and the maid should be happy with that. This upsets the maid who then tosses the pickle at Gaby. Outraged, Gaby asks Charmay to pick up the pickle, when Gaby refuses to rub the maids pudgy stumps, aka feet, the maid then tells Gaby that she doesnt want to be treated like dirt anymore. Gaby then threatens her with deportation back to Shanghai.
Susan is sitting by Mikes hospital bed shaving his face. The Dr comes in and tells her that it doesnt look promising for Mike to which Susan dismisses this information reminding the good Dr about some woman in Peru who was in a coma for 10 years and she came out of it.
Bree and Orson are wrapping up dinner when Orson surprises Bree with an engagement ring. She accepts but is worried that they have only been dating for 6 months. He then talks about hos shattered he was when his wife Alma left him.
Ian Hainsworth is someone in the hospital waiting room. Seems Ian has a comatose wife for the last 3 years. He sees Susan in the hospital day after day and makes friends with her by inviting her for coffee. He eventually buys her a faux Rolex watch and they occasionally make nice talk but nothing serious yet.
Bree has invited the girls to the Golf country club. Gaby, Lynette and Susan are sitting around a fancy table when Bree comes in wearing white gloves to hide her ring. But she cant keep the secret and blurts out that they she is engaged to Orson.
Gaby tosses in a little comedy here when she learns that Bree and Orson have not had sex yet even though they were getting married. Gaby reminds Bree that if you are thinking about buying a car, you at least test drive it, to which Bree thanks Gaby for bringing up the past behavior of Bree.
Dinner will be at 8 o clock on Saturday night and please everyone look surprised!
Tom and Lynette are planning a birthday party for Parker on the QT. Lynette doesnt want Nora the lunatic mother of Toms daughter to find out and horn in.
Susan is back up at the hospital and stops in on her new friend Ian with a couple of smoothies. When Ian steps out of the area to get water, Susan accidently dumps her smoothie on Ians coma stricken wife! Poor Susie! such a klutz! She decides she is hungry and her and Ian leave for the cafeteria.
Nora calls the Scavos house and overhears the party. While Nora is on her way over to the house, Lynette and Tom shift the party to Gaby's. They promise to clean up the yard after the pony though!
Edie is still trying to unload that house, but what a noisy neighborhood Wisteria Lane is today!
Nora shows up at Lynettes and demands to see where the kids are and the fact she thought she heard a party was happening. Lynette lies and tells her No party that Tom had taken the kids to the movies and out for ice cream.
When her secret is blown by a misplaced party goer, Nora has a fit and wants her kid to leave with her. The little girl wants to stay though and Tom and Lynette have words. In the end though, Tom sticks up for Lynette and Nora leaves promising to be back at 7 but also expecting a peice of cake upon her return!
Kind hearted Gaby is putting the maids favorite soap on the TV. When Gaby calls for Charmay though, there is no answer. Oh Oh! The maids closet is empty! Gaby gets in her car and heads to Carlos apartment and they head off in search of the missing baby carrying servant. The 2 of them pay a visit to a Chinese restaurant where they are warmly greeted by an angry waitress friend of the maid.
Gaby (now wearing moo shu pork on her lovely once yellow blouse) and Carlos head out still in search of the missing Charmay.
Edie is showing the house to 2 gay guys when she finds the missing maid in a closet holding down a tray of open house sandwiches. Quick scene here. On to Brees once again where Bree and Orson are having ice cream. Seems Orson is a little frisky this evening and wants a little sumthin'
Susan back at the bedside of Mike, lays next to him on his bed and "chats" up with Mike about Ian. It should be okay though as Mike is still comatose. Susan asks Mikes permission if it would be okay to go out with Ian. But Mike won't wake up and answer her.
Meanwhile, Carlos and Gaby still not being able to locate the missing maid, are quarrelling about the American Dream. Gaby thinks that when the baby is born, the maid will go on to live a happy life, and a now single Gaby will be raising the baby as a single mother with Gaby and Carlos fighting about Christmas and where the baby will spend it. Carlos apolpgizes to Gaby and before he could speak up about his dreams, she speeds off leaving him at the curb.
Bree and Orson are in the kitchen. Seems Orson has found the ideal way to get rid of spots on wine glasses. This makes Bree unusually happy and they end up "celebrating" this new found happiness in the bedroom where Orson treats her to something Bree has never experienced before!
This is also the same scene where Bree cries out her political preferences
Next scene we find Bree talking to her Dr about a spasm and how she thinks she has had a stroke. After the Dr asks a few more questions, she then informs her patient that it was not a stroke she had, but an orgasm!
The next night it is still pouring rain when Bree and Orson are having their engagemnet dinner party. The nosy neighbor from Lakeview Lane shows up and promptly announces that Orson has killed his missing wife.
Orson denies this, and Bree asks the woman to leave. Later Bree and Orson have a discussion to which Orson again denies killing Alma and that she simply left him. He also claims he was granted a divorce when Alma didnt return after a certain length of time.
Bree then returns to her guests and announce the buffet is open and doesn't discuss the incident any more that evening.
The show ends with Bree standing in the rain taking the dinner party trash out wondering about Orsons past.
We then see a body leg and hand sticking out of a construction site at the Country Club. Maybe Orsons wife Alma???
Next weeks previews show Susan and Gaby and Lynette at Brees wedding. Looks like it will be quite the bash as the crazy Nora can be seen dancing in front of Carlos, and the formerly missing maid claiming she is in labor!

I bought last season of Desparate Housewives and watched the whole thing in less than 2 weeks. I was all set to start watching this season week to week. BUT I was so tired I fell asleep last night and I missed it

Charmay= Xiou me or something like that. If you saying it in English, it would be Charmin, or Charmain and that does not sound like her name.
The nosy busybody in the recap was the same person that babysat Lynnette kids when Bree was an alcoholic. That is different from the character from Lakeview Drive (Laurie Metcalf)
The first one is Wisteria Drive-- she played Ms. Langingham in West Wing.
Did you even mention that Gaby and Carlos go to Chinatown area and look for Xiou Me? Who knew that the Wisteria Lane town had a Chinatown? Anyway, they go to Chinatown and Gaby goes to a specific restaurant. Gaby then asks a waitress/owner about Xiou Me. The waitress/owner who is holding a tray of food states that she talked to Xiou Me and that Xiou Me stated that Gaby threatened her with deportation. (Gaby did). Gaby tried to weasel her way out of that but Carlos looked shocked. There was a verbal exchange between waitress/owner and Gaby. Gaby eventually stated that she could call the health dept to have them look at the restaurant. The next shot you see is Gaby and Carlos leaving the restaurant and Gaby has a lot of food on her shirt. (implied that the waitress/owner threw the tray at Gaby)
Also when Edie was showing the Young house to two impeccable men, (which would be a fantastic storyline, BTW) she is talking about storage in the house. Edie opens up the closet and find Xiou Me there eating sandwiches.
On of the few last scenes shows Gaby and Xiou Me back in the house with Gaby waiting on her.
Just for clarification, I went to imdb.com to find out how to spell Xiou Me's name correctly. I went to Gwendolyn Yeo's bio (the person who plays the Xiou Me character) and this is how the character was spelled..... Xiao-Mei
Xiao-Mei is the correct spelling. Most boards I frequent just abbreviate is a XM.

But, Tom did the right thing....if he stands up to Nora, then her daughter will eventually realize what a b**** she is and that will drive them further apart....

I missed the part with the parrot, so I can't tell you how the closed captioning had it.
I kinda felt bad for Kayla's mom. She seems like she just wants to be included (not that she has that "right") and just gets too pushy. I just hope she backs off some before her attitude messes up Kayla.
