I LOVED when Bree stood up in the church and replaced Rex's tie with Tom's. As soon as I saw that ugly tie on him, I started saying "Come on, Bree! You know you want to rip it off!"  I LOVE THIS SHOW!

If the hand was black I'm wondering if it was the new neighbors' husband/dad OR if it was the hand of that black cop/detective guy. If it was white could it be Rex? Or could it be that guy that Mike left in the desert (can't think of his name)?

Bree is awesome. She cracks me up! I love this show too! I think last season is already out on DVD or comes out on DVD soon. Merry Christmas to me!

What a great show tonight! I loved it when Bree switched the ties at the funeral!!! Now, I can't wait to find out who's in the basement. I couldn't tell what the skin color was of the hand. It was kind of shadowy. And why didn't gabrielle just get her own paternity test, so she would know, and use that as a copy.

I also thought the hand looked like a white male hand. I was expecting it would be the husband/father because of the lie the son told at the beginning of the episode about him being dead. But I don't know now. Is the father white?

in regards to the paternity test...correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the father (re: Carlos) need to submit a swab sample from his cheek?? um, hello?? did anyone realize that?? :confused3

I thought it was Grandma. I'm going to have to watch again.

and, I wonder if Felicia will come back?? since they mentioned Zach put her in the hospital..... :scratchin

I was thinking the same thing. That's why I thought he got up and walked away, because he knew he didn't submit a sample, and he knew she was lying.

What a great episode -

DH and I decided that was the most hilarious funeral scene we have ever seen in our lives!!

I thought the hand was a black male - but I erased my TIVO so I can't check

I love this show!!

thanks....thought i was losing my marbles.... :confused3 .....AND, when Gabs confessed "so I had a little affair...no big deal. nobody died."....um, i was SO waiting for Carlos to say "um yeah.....my Ma-Ma".....guess he forgot about her......

Philadisney, Rex died in the very last episode of last season. Although some of us probably suspected that Zach was Mike's son I think it was just revealed tonight that Zach was or may be Mike's son. It's such a good show, isn't it??! :teeth:

thanks - it certainly is! i actually had the twist about zach being mike's son spoiled for me when i was watching the interview with mark cherry on the first disc of the season 1 dvd set. one of the first things mark said was that he was excited for coming up with the idea that mike was zach's father - i shut the interview off ASAP because i would rather find out things like that from watching the show. oops!

Ooooooo...hmmmm...that didn't occur to me. And the saga continues...

Bree: "I will go non-denominational so fast your head will spin"

That was the best line of the show! I was eating a bowl of cereal and almost chocked because I was laughing so hard! :rotfl2:

Until we actually saw Rex's dead body (and boy he sure looked dead!), I thought that he wasn't really dead and it was all just a sting operation to catch Bree. Because didn't Rex's doctor suspect Bree of trying to poison him?

What a great episode. I, too, couldn't tell whose hand they showed at the end. It looks like it will be a great season.

I forgot to mention that I saw a white hand at the end. Very creepy - espcially with the mother going on about the flower.

Yes! The whole flower thing was weird, wasn't it? It's obviously someone who has been with them trapped for a while because the son said that he makes that same tray every night. And then the gun...was that in case the trapped person tried to do something to them? And then she KEPT talking about the flower :confused3

Can anyone post a quick recap of tonight's show? We finally got off the 24 hours news here in Houston, and then tonight cable went out for about 4 hours, for no reason whatsoever, ugh!

Recap:

Bree waits until 9 am to call Lynette and tell her that Rex died. She showed no emotion and told Lynette she would press some scarf Lynette wanted to borrow!

Lynette has a job interview. Her DH is staying home to watch the kids. She has 1st interview with a woman (played by Joely Fisher of Ellen fame) and was told to come back the next day and meet with someone that makes the decisions. The next day Lynettes husband Tom has decided he pulled his back out fooling around with one of the kids and he is in pain. Lynette takes the baby to the second interview where she interviews with the boss while changing babies diaper at the same time! She gets the job.

Rex's mother comes into town. Real piece of work. Her and Bree do not get along and Mother tells pastor that Rex was only happy before he got married to Bree. Bree has a fit and univites Mother to funeral.

Bree's kids want Grandma at funeral so she goes. Rex is lying in casket with an orange and green tie that Mother had arranged. Bree has fit and changes tie after funeral service. hysterical.

Zach is on the run. Mike tells Susan that Zach is his son. Susan decides she can not move in with Mike as she does not want her daughter around Zach.

Gabrielle visits Carlos in jail where Carlos wants a paternity test to see who father of baby is. Gaby fakes a test and shows him on next visit.

New neighbor plays organ at Rex's funeral as Bree asked her to. New neighbor and son Matthew are hiding someone locked up in their basement. The last scene shows them taking a meal tray down to locked up person with a red rose on tray-that new neighbor keeps referring to. We see a hand with a shackle on it reach up to tray., Looked like black hand to me. (tivo)

Show ends here. Previews for next week show Susan's ex husband now moves in with Edie. He is standing on Edies porch in a bathrobe and Susan is running down street in robe also asking him what he is doing there.

They usually replay the episode on Sat nights.
