*~~Official December 2016 Thread~~*

Anyone else playing Disney Emoji Blitz?? Just something else to obsess over...but really, it keeps me busy in waiting rooms for kid dentist/orthodontist/eye dr/regular dr/hair salon visits so, it's better than sitting and staring at a wall, haha!!

No. I've seen posts about it on disney fb groups but I don't really play games on my phone. I do obsessively shop for lularoe leggings. I bought some for me and dd to wear on our Disney trip. I really need to stop now.

Hi Everyone! I've been reading and replying a bit on the December threads. I'm new to disboards, and we're traveling to wdw Dec 3-10! I'm so glad to have these forums to see if others are going through the same stress (although it is a fun stress?!) as I am! I've been tweaking my ADRs since we added a day, and I'm starting to get anxious about the fastpasses. I apologize if this has been discussed already, but does anyone know if there is a way to practice booking the fastpasses on MDE before the 60 days? It was really helpful to practice booking the dining reservations so I was able to familiarize myself with it. But, when I try to view the Fastpass+ page, it says there are no tickets linked to my account. I did read somewhere that if I booked a package (which I did with a travel agent) then the tickets would show up on the 60 day mark. Is that true? TIA!!!

Hello and welcome! I'll get you added to our travelers log on the first page :-):-)

Package tickets show up on the 60 day mark, and there's not really a way to practice, but picking FPs is not hard at all! The process has changed since last time we did it (last July), but it's supposed to be easier now, I think, in terms of picking times for rides. When the whole FP+ thing started a couple years ago, I was so stressed out about it because the attitude was one of doom and gloom on the boards - but it was so easy, I think my grandmother who has never touched a computer in her life could have done it. If you can read, you can do it!!

You pick your day, you pick your park, you pick your rides (you can do one, two, or three...you used to be locked in to three no matter what), you pick your preferred times. In parks with tiers, it walks you through that, too. I think it's easier than ADRs, but, like ADRs, you should probably prioritize Frozen Ever After and make your Epcot choices first if you're going to try to get a FP for that.

You should also be able to go to the My Reservations and Tickets section of your MDE and see that your tickets really are there all safe and sound :-) The little lock icon will come off the FP area when it's time, and you'll be ready to go!

THIS might help...it's a walkthrough of picking your FPs from Disney Tourist Blog.

Thank you so much!
I really appreciate your advice! I grew up in FL and used to visit wdw all of the time as a kid. We never made dining reservations and there weren't any fastpasses! So, this is completely new for me.
I never noticed that little lock! :) That explains a lot!

Wdwprepschool has a good chart that lists the fast passes in priority order. Not sure if it's been updated since the new Soarin & Frozen ride started.

I haven't given much thought to fp because my youngest isn't 40" yet & im hoping she hits a growth spurt in the next couple of months. She's not a thrill rider but I'd like her to try 7dmt if she's tall enough. Frozen ride is a must for us. We're doing 2 days in Epcot so in debating if we should fp frozen twice or just once then Soarin the other day. Soarin is dh's favorite ride.

We did a child swap on 7dmt with my grandson with FP, 1 person holds back with child- they give you a paper FP for 2 people, 1st group rides, then 2 can go again. Was ok, worked well but- 2 separate photos and videos from the ride, so we all were not together- but we did get to ride.

Our group has 6 adults and grandson, the younger crowd will attack the parks while we entertain my grandson on the rides he can go on (no height restrictions).

Frozen and Soarin were not open in our April trip- so we look forward to these on this trip. Will do FP for both (child swap for Soarin).

I just found a dinning reservation for Tusker House at 5:55 on Dec. 2, but the calender has Animal kingdom closing at 5:00. Is this possible or do the dining people know something about an extention of hours

Really hoping the Star wars fireworks show runs through December and January.
Had no problems with any ADR for December which was great.
Just purchased Annual Passes yipeee. We opted for this option as it saved us 3,000 Australian dollars . Just buying normal tickets for 30 days was extremely expensive.

Good to see there are so many people going for the christmas period.
Now its just a waiting game for the 60 day mark.

Hi there! I just found this thread! I'll be going to WDW 12/7 - 12/13. I'm staying at CSR and doing MVMCP on the 11th, anybody else going that night? Also, is anybody doing the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at 8.30 am on the 12th?? I'm super excited! this will be the first time I'm going to WDW by myself!

Anyone already plan meal selections based on your ADR's- Have you already determined what you want (other than buffets) ahead of time? Looked at the boathouse and because we were planning what we wanted from the menu- decided to go there twice (lol) appetizers one night and main entrée second night.
