*~~Official December 2016 Thread~~*

I just added ADRs to our Christmas trip. My thinking was we will have more time to sit and eat so we can be away from the crowds. Good thinking?

I picked up a Christmas Day Tusker House breakfast at 8:05 and Crystal Palace breakfast at 10:30 on 12/22.

We are first timers (as parents) and arriving late 12.16 and leaving late 12.22. Will have our son who turns 5 just before we leave and 2 yr old daughter. This trip will mostly be about the 5 yr old. Need opinions on first 2 park days (17th & 18th). We want to do Festival of Fantasy parade, electrical lights parade and wishes on the 17th...but I know that it will be a busy day at MK. Also doing VMCP on the 18th (these are the only days these are scheduled during our trip). One of these days we will spend all day at MK, the other I plan to spend the morning/early afternoon in Epcot. Which morning would be a better Epcot day? Also, during our trip we have 1 day planned in HS and 1 in AK...is that enough time in those parks? We have 5.5 days for parks.

And I should add, new to the forums. Glad to have found this awesome group! Can't wait to get to know you all!

We have similar dates as you and I've been stalking Disney's calendar for updates. As of last week, the TA calendar has added FOF parade every day and has added MSEP and Wishes on non-party days. Also, AK has been updated to close at 6pm each day that week. The official Disney website has only added the MSEP every non-party night. Hope that helps with your planning!

This is my first time seeing this board! We will be there from 12/10-12/17 with MVMCP on the 15th. I wanted to know if there was a board for ADR trading? I have a CRT I would like to trade for a BOG lunch or for a different day CRT. Anyone know of a thread like this? Excited to follow this thread until our trip!

There's a link on the first page for the cancelled thread. I don't know about trading though.

You aren't allowed to trade on the canceled ADR thread. But you can mention it here & maybe someone would be interested.

I have seen a lot of canceled BOG posts on the December ADR thread so I would keep checking it & maybe you'll snag what you want.

Do you where can I find the TA calendar for dec? I saw one for my last trip and it was super helpful! Thank you!

Hey everyone!! Hope ya'll are staying cool...we've been riding a heat wave this week (but let's get real, where I live, every summer day is a heatwave). Must think cold December thoughts to beat the heat!!

I'll get the front page updated by Monday.

Enjoy your Friday!!

Star Wars Dessert Party extended to September 24th...slowly getting closer to December!

Waiting with you!

Was able to move the young adults from All-Star Sports over to Coronado Springs with us! The Guest Services team really pulled some magic on this move- Now we will all be in the same resort. :)

I wish they would just extend the SW dessert party already.... it's making it very hard to put my planning to bed until the 60 mark. 125 days to go!

I keep obsessively checking!!!

It will be the last extra I add.... well maybe *blush*

Happy Monday!

First page updated with a couple new friends :-)

It's actually not 8 million degrees out today, woohoo! It's raining and storming all around the area, but not at my house  My outside plants would really like the bath, and I'd really like not having to haul the hose and watering cans around this afternoon. I always joke that our house has a weather bubble around it, because we always seem to miss out.

Nothing new on my Disney planning front right now, except I changed our ADR at Skipper's Canteen from 4pm to 4:40pm on our party night. Not sure why I made it at 4 anyway...maybe I was thinking we might get to the park early and use a regular ticket?? I have no idea. Anyway, it's changed, and makes more sense now. The plan is to eat and go get in line for Sandy Claws, because he is our priority meet that night.

Does anyone have a favorite website or blog with a great rundown of start-to-finish party night plans? I've looked at a few, and am trying to figure out our overall plan of attack for that evening, so if you have a favorite please share!!

Enjoy the rest of your afternoon! :tink:

Wdwprepschool & kennythepirate both had good party write ups for 2015 MVMCP. ive been meaning to look on disneytourist to see if they had a write up. Haven't gotten around to it yet. I haven't given the xmas party much thought other than we are going.

I've looked over both of those briefly in the past, but not in depth yet...Disney Tourist Blog has one, and the pictures are gorgeous (of course)!
Planning a normal park day is pretty easy for me, and I'm of the mindset that if we miss something, we'll always be back again. BUT as far as doing the Christmas season stuff, who knows when we'll go back for that. Traveling outside of summer for us is not great because of school schedules :sad1: Because of that, I'm going to make an effort to plan our party night more than I would a normal day. It's exhilarating to me, planning something new. On the other hand, it scares me because I don't want to mess anything up and miss out. Stressful, but exciting! I'm a crazy person!

This is the first time we've planned a Disney trip & I have no idea if we will be back anytime soon. So I'm stressing trying to make sure everything goes smoothly. I haven't thought about the xmas party much because of all the other regular park stuff. I'm starting to realize that I need to relax a bit. If we don't get to do something it's not a big deal because we'll still have a great trip. I hope. Lol
