Updates to the DEC TRIP LIST ARE HERE: - if you are missing, let me know!!
http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=36267138&postcount=254

We are arriving Nov 29 through Dec 4 and I am so excited. My son is 5 and will love it. Our first breakfast is a character breakfast at Animal Kingdom, I wanted to start with a special breakfast. Staying WL and can't wait to see the tree : )

Debra
got you added- the breakfast at AK is fantastic! and you will love WL at the holidays- we stayed there last year- see my TR from last year in my sig for pics!

I'M BAA-AACK..... :goodvibes

I got a PIN today that gave us FREE DINING for our dates! SO... we are going to take our chances with the Pop Warner crowd! We'll be at AKL December 4-11. :yay:

Do you mind putting us back on the list??? :flower3:
woo hoo! got you added back on ! ;):lmao::thumbsup2:wizard:

I just.received an e-mail response to a question about late check in (after midnight from disney. In that e-mail, I was informed that this year no-one could enter MK before 7:00 pm using their MVMCP hard ticket. Hope someone who attends one of the early days, can verify if they had to wait until 7:00 pm. to get in MK.
interesting.......like you said, i don't think we will know until someone actually goes to the first party. they tend to say one thing and do another sometimes! :confused3:rotfl::wizard:

It's Christmas in July: we just booked Shades of Green for December 18-23, 2010!!!! I've no idea how my mom did it since apparently their Christmas rooms book up to a year in advance! I have an annual pass to DL but have never ever been to WDW and have of course been dreaming of my grand Floridian adventure ever since I was 8 and would only wear Beauty & the Beast sneakers for a year and a half. I'm in grad school currently so that was awhile ago (heehee) however I'm currently in groveling mode :worship: b/c I can't believe my parents are finally aboard w/ my plans!

I'm not sure if we'll do MVMCP? :santa: We'd have to go the 19th, which is the last party, so I'd imagine it'd be quite crowded. Is it worth the $50 ticket per person? We're of course planning on checking out the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, and I insist on watching the Jingle Jungle Parade in AK, but are there any other Christmas activities you all recommend?
i wouldn't waste money on MVMCP since you will get to see everything the party offers for free later that week (parade and shows). be sure and take a morning or afternoon to tour the resorts- specifically the gingerbread house at the grand floridian, decor at WL, and then the boardwalk and Y/BC also have some nice stuff like a chocolate merry go round. The tree at AKL is gorgeous too!

what do you guys mean by SW being a part. airline? whats the diff? Im so lost Ive never used ME before
the airline and baggage check in service is AWESOME!! we typically rent a car and used this service for the first time this past december at WL. we fly american to DFW. we simply headed downstairs 3 hours prior to our flight or more, checked one bag per person ( they actually let us do more, although the published rule is one per person)- and printed out our boarding passes. so when we arrived at the airport, we didn't have to check any bags, just had our carry ons. plus no waiting for check in (even the self service machines get lines at MCO!)- it was great!

Just joined the DIS board and found this thread...

Myself and extended family on DH side are going Dec 5-12, at POP. Can't wait, have already started throwing things into a suitcase as i think of stuff to take.
Got a calendar ready for my DD to start counting down the days starting in October. We did that the last trip, she put a sticker in the square for each day that passed.

My own countdown on my computer will begin around the same time!

:yay:
welcome!!! i've added you to the trip list.

I can not wait for december but I definitly do not want to wish the summer away!

Im working on a ton of DIY gifts and pre travel packages for my young cousins! And Im soo excited. The DISigners on the forum are FABULOUS!!!!!!

Hows the planning going for everyone?!
we did some gifts for the kiddos this past December- heck, we did them for the adults too- i did goodie bags for all. some of the things i included:

  • chapstick (cute disney themed ones)
  • rain ponchos
  • mickey luggage tags, found on sale on disneyoutlet a while back
  • homemade green mickey tags (laminated) with phone/name for backpacks and strollers
  • snacks/candy (granola bars, crackers, candy and gum- WDW does not sell gum!)
  • room spray
  • hand lotion and sanitizer
  • toys for kids (disney themed)
  • coloring books/colors and stickers for kids
  • stuffed disney plush
  • hats for kids (disney)
  • ID bracelets for kids
  • mini first aid kits for each family
  • sunblock
  • t-shirts

4 Canadian newbies, all super excited to be going to WDW for the FIRST TIME!!!!!

December 8 - 16... (and the monsters get off school to boot, woohoo)

Caroline in Toronto
welcome! got you added too!

I'll be down December 12-17th! As of right now, I'll be traveling SOLO and probably staying at Pop Century. I'd love to meet some of you down there. :)
woo hoo! you are added- be sure and check the list, there are lots going down that time and some at POP!

I have reservations at HDDR that night so since I was going to be at FW I thought it would be fun, from what I have read its very decorated around the campground. I had toyed with the carriage ride at POR since I am staying the first 3 nights at POFQ but that sounded rather blah compared to christmas decorations, more on the romantic side............I am going to be taking my mother on the trip, not in need of romance :)
love HDDR! we did it last year (and almost every trip) and finally saw the decorations! if you walk over to the general store, across from pioneer hall, there are some campsites just to the right of the store (I assume this person gets the same site each year) that is full on decorated, just like the samantha brown special- there were light up decorations all over the yard, plus the RV itself had disney plush in the front window, all the way to the ceiling. it was so cool!

Does anyone have a place to get Shirts for one's whole family with Disney Christmas themes?

I am getting inspired by all your creative ideas!!! :santa:
i found some cute stuff on etsy, plus we just made some ourselves. i had a graphic design friend do a design for us and we just made iron ons and ironed them on our shirts! you just print out the design on a regular printer using iron on paper! then iron on. many of the dis-igns folks have some great designs too- here are the shirts we wore in 2005!

Sorry guys, I created this thread and I've abandoned it. I've been going through a divorce and haven't been on the DIS in months. I know someone asked me to put things in the OP a few months ago. I don't know if it's possible for someone to take over this thread or how you guys want to do it??

Hi everyone!
Another week closer to our December trips! :santa:

Not sure if this has already been posted... but the Wishes Dessert parties have been extended to December 29th! Click here!!

Any ADR updates from anyone?

Emma princess: x
hey Emma! yeah! i need to figure out if we really want to do this or not. we did it this past December and it was yummy and we had the best seats in the house too at the party!

Just called today and added another hotel day. We are already at 10 days of park tickets so we didn't add any more park days. Really looking forward to a down day now. We are now going Nov 30-Dec10... still staying at Pop!! If you could change me that would be great! Thanks for putting all the time and effort into the list. It is great to look as see who maybe there while we are.

Ok, Here are our ADR's and I am pretty happy with them, except for Biergarten, that is for DH. I guess since I pretty much picked everything else, I can let him have 1 choice, he is excited about HoB.

Dec 22 Tusker House Breakfast
Dec 23 House of Blues Dinner
Dec 24 Akerhaus Breakfast
Dec 24 Biergarten Lunch
Dec 25 Crystal Palace Breakfast
Dec 26 Chef Mickey's Breakfast

I just added the Fireworks Dessert Party for 12/25/10 at 9pm.

I doubt they will change, unless I can't get Dec 22 off I at work, but I don't think it will be a problem.

Hey, exwdwcm, great job! Of course, I have to make a change - I'm now at POR, not Coronado Springs. Same dates, though!

Don't you just hate letting them choose! :lmao: I had to let my kids and DH pick this time, so that didn't leave ME very many choices! DS8 was the worst - he picked WCC, Chef M's, 50's PT, AND Sci-Fi. Since it's his birthday, I let him go crazy! :) DH and DS11 only had one request Le Cellier TWICE. (Do you know how hard that was to get?!?!?!?) So, I picked Teppan Edo and Tusker House dinner. I was really hoping to try some new places, but there is no way to fit them in.

I really do, I mean I liked Biergarten, but I really wanted Garden Grill which was booked, but I could have gotten Coral Reef. We haven't eaten @ Tusker house for breakfast, nor have we ever eaten at HoB (I got a free $25 gift certificate for that). We have eaten at the others, but it has been awhile, but I really wanted to try Coral Reef.

We aren't really wild about the dinner choices, or should I say DH isn't, he is very picky(worse than most children), so I try to choose breakfasts, and we prefer to do most of our touring in the evening, so I don't want to be stuck in a restaurant then. We do early breakfast seatings.

Next Dec for our 10th Anniversary, I am picking EVERYTHING and not telling him until we get there. He has asked to do Cirque, so that gets to be all he picks for that trip :lmao:

I don't know what I would do if there was a child in the mix

Hi all!

We're booked for Dec 1st - 7th thanks to my husband who seems to boarder on being the bigger Disney nut than me. We were just there in May :)

I'm trying to find out if anyone has info on the Christmas Parade they're filming on Sat Dec 4th? Where can I find out more about it (what the crowds will be like, whether I should avoid MK that day etc).

:goodvibes
