We (DH and 2 kids) are doing the bahamas 3 night cruise and then spending 13 nights in Animal Kingdom Jambo house. This is the first time we have been to disney at christmas, so we are all very excited. We are from the UK and have brought into the DVC.

All tips (christmas or DVC) very welcome.

Nooooooo! Just read that MSEP is sticking around longer so I checked december's calender and its showing MSEP instead of spectro :( :( :( ugh!! I hope they do wishes and not the other fireworks show...

I seem to be completely incompetent to find December's fireworks and parades schedule on the official Disney calendar. (I can find it on the disboards, but that one is still showing Spectromagic & Wishes.) :confused3

Would some kind soul provide a link for me? Thanks a lot!

I am with the group who is excited about the MSEP. I grew up in Cali and so remember vividly from my youth and didnt realize it was offered at WDW so was disappointed that instead there was spectro. They made it perfect by bringing MSEP and bring back Captain Eo! Whoot Whoot! I get to relive my child hood..Even if they dont have Captain EO just hearing about it brought back all the memories :)

Question for DISers with young children... Many of the countries feature "Santa" for that country. How have you explained the different "looks" to your kids? I have 2...DD4 and DS3. Not rally sure how to approach the whole thing with them.

That should be hard. The American one is the right one. :lmao:

OK, in all seriousness, that is a good question and I hadn't thought about it. I would go one of two ways.

1. Different countries have different weather, so Santa has different outfits to deal with the different climates.

2. The other option would be to say that very few people have seen Santa, and when they describe him to someone they get it right, but then those people tell others and change it slightly, so it has gotten that the description in various parts of the world are different due to these slight changes in the tellings.

We have been lucky and have gotten video of Santa a few times so my kids know what he looks like, but don't realize that he has different clothes for the trip. At least that's what I'm going with, unless someone has something better.

Will be at the World from Dec. 19, 2010 thru Jan. 01, 2011.. Condos booked, Castle Dinner Ressie is booked for Christmas Eve and Park Tickets are purchased. Now the hard part...waiting for December to get here. I want to go now.:santa:

Is anybody doing a countdown calendar? I think we are going to make one that starts at 100 days. In the past the boys and I have made a really long chain with one construction paper link per day. We drape it all around our family room, and the boys take turns removing a link per day. Anybody have anything better they do? :confused3

I was just now told by CM on the phone to call back tomorrow about CP dining reservations. I hope he was being helpful and not just toying????

The spreadsheet tracking my dining points and ADR's is rocking along. Not one point will be wasted!

I just booked a hotel at Myrtle Beach. I'm paying the same per night as we pay at POFQ. I sure wish we were going there instead... :sad1:

Hurry up December! :santa:
