Nooooooo! Just read that MSEP is sticking around longer so I checked december's calender and its showing MSEP instead of spectro ugh!! I hope they do wishes and not the other fireworks show...

First, this is my very first post on the DIS boards

We have been planning this trip for 5 years (when I found out we were having a baby). Now, almost 5 years later, the trip is finally here! Our grand gathering will be traveling December 10th - 16th. There is 15 of us going!

For all but 3 of us it is first times!! We are also celebrating two of our group (my husband and our best friend) homecoming from Afghanistan! So, on top of an awesome Christmas present for the 6 kids going with us, its much more then that!

We have made all our ADR's and are staying at CBR. I can NOT wait for December to get here to show everyone what an amazing place Disney is, and at Christmas... just wow!!!

We'll be there from December 2nd to December 7th, staying at All-Star Music. We'd much rather stay at Pop Century but it was already booked up by the time we booked ours.

Pop is probably full with kds for the Pop Warner. You are probably better off not staying there. The All-Star Music is right near the AS Sports and AS Movies. The building designs at the AS Movies are pretty cool, if you have never seen them, I suggest taking a walk over there. The All-Stars are all near each other and easily within walking distance of each other.

Edit: Disregard the information I stated. Pop Warner stays at the All-Star so avoid them at all costs this week.

So excited we are checking more stuff off our list..Got our airline tickets and received my new luggage since a certain airline and baggage handlers destroyed my luggage on my last disneyworld flight..anyways new luggage and flights alll set ...whoot whoot!

I am so hoping that the calendar you looked at was wrong. The music for MSEP is annoying, I would much rather hear the horns for SpectroMagic.

In years past the Pop Warner kids and cheerleaders have stayed at the All Star Resorts and POR. Have you heard different for this year?

I'm just going on the assumption that POP is filled up due to them. I don't have any inside information on where they are staying.

I was a little sad to hear MSEP was extended and replacing Spectro for our trip. My daughter ADORES Spectro and watches it on youtube all the time. But I'm excited to see something new and I think it's similar enough to Spectro that she'll love it too.

I think by the end of the parade I am going to want to smash my head against the wall. The parade itself is fine, it is the music is kind of annoying.

Pop Warner always stay at the All-Star resorts. The only resort that tends to change is the moderate resort. Pop may be booked up due to people not wanting to stay at the same hotel as the Pop Warner folks.

love the dreamlights, they are every night and start at dusk. the lighting ceremony is well worth watching too!

I am actually happy about MSEP, they only do it in California now, and when I was there last (3 years ago) we didn't get to see it. I love Spectro but I went to disney 3 times in 08, and once in 09 so I have seen it a bunch in the last couple years. I have not seen MSEP since I was like 8 or 9. So I am excited for it.

Also VERY excited that the Christmas parade will be filmed while I am down there!

What are the castle dreamlights?

We'll be seeing it for the first time ourselves!

Also VERY excited that the Christmas parade will be filmed while I am down there!

I just recently discovered we're going to be at MK on the day of the taping and have mixed feelings. On the one hand I can't wait to watch the parade on Christmas morning and giggle that I was there.... but on the other hand, I know the crowds are going to be crazy!

What are the castle dreamlights?

When you go to sleep while you are at Disney, chances are you are going to have a dream about being in Cinderella's castle. If a room is dark, you are going to flip the light switch, and the lights will come on. So I think the Castle DreamLights are the lights in the Castle in your dreams.

Of course, it could also be that show that Mickey_Mom mentioned.

MSEP is the parade I grew up with, I saw it again earlier this month and simply cannot wait to see it again in December!!!

Since I've never been during the holiday season, does anyone know what all they do with the parade to make it more themed? So excited and it's still so far away!

Not to sound too much like a 5yr old but I watched MSEP on youtube tonight and then Spectro and cried becuase im so so so disappointed that it will be MSEP. I HATE THAT MUSIC! Spectro gives me the chills..
