Official Dancing With the Stars: Spring 2016

Keo's issue seems to be that he lets his partners get by with just enough practice to be okay but not great, then on performance night, overdances and tries to pull focus away from the celeb and on to him.

Yes, it's the WAY he dances, not that he does more complicated steps. He dances to crisp and precisely. It's obvious he's the pro of the couple.

When you compare him to the way Peta danced tonight with Doug, while, yes, she had more complicated steps, did a couple extra twirls to fill in for the fact that Doug can't do much, she matches his steps better and what he can do. I can't come up with a good word, she dances more "casually" as it were, to partner and match with Doug, at somewhat his level. When she dances in the troupe numbers, it's quite evident then how crisp, clean, precise & showy she can dance and can shine when she has a solo section. She just doesn't dance that way when she's partnering with a star. Cheryl Burke did the same thing, so did Derek.

I like Doug but he's the weakest dancer and should be next to go.

Yes! I am not a huge Derek fan, but he always let his partners shine.

Just checking in. I've missed the show the last couple of weeks, caught bits and pieces.

Anyway, wow Jodie was great tonight without Keo. She has so much more to offer than his choreography has for her.

And then there was Nyle. Be still my heart. I he doesn't win this, I'm never watching again. It's truly amazing what he can accomplish.

That dance really makes me wish that Jodie and Val were permanent partners instead of switch up!!

I agree!! You can totally tell that Keo is there just for the "Im a Pro on Dancing with the Stars" fame - he really isn't that great at teaching wich si what this show is about

Like a PP said - hopefully they see this and will give Keo the BOOT after this season - espcially after seeing the difference in switch up week!

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I feel sorry for Keo. He was given such crappy partners in the past that he was eliminated first in 2 seasons and 2nd in the other season. Now he has a good partner and he can't quite figure out how to make her shine. I hope, for Jodie's sake, that he realizes that he needs help in learning how to teach. I also agree that he tends to outdance his partners making it all about him like Anna did in the past (gotta get my Anna dig in ;)).

I can totally agree with what you've said. I actually like Keo, he seems so nice where I never cared for Anna. Lets hope he can get it figured out.

I saw the remarks about EYE-AN, I can't wait to listen to the podcast and get the rest of the dirt.

Sorry, I disagree. If he's with a better dancer, she should be easier to work with and do more things with.

Right ... But his experience is with 3 seasons of crappy dancers. In fact, I was shocked that this was his 4th season as a pro. I still think of him as the newbie.

I don't think he knows what he needs to do to bring out the best in someone who actually had some talent. He's accustomed to something different. I hope he can get his head in the game this week. I'm sure it was a shock seeing how well she did with Val.

If he usually doesn't dance at all or with other people, I'd agree. But, he's used to dancing with dancers who CAN dance. So, he shouldn't have a problem dancing with people who CAN dance some or a little.

Peta was the first one booted out, her first season. The next season, she went on to win the Mirror Ball trophy with Donald Driver. It didn't matter that her first experience was with someone who couldn't dance at all.

I think Keo knows he's with someone who won't win. So he isn't even bothering to really push Jodie. Val, on the other hand, really wants to take any partner he's been given, and as other people have said, "make her shine" to the best of HIS ability and hers. :thumbsup2 That's my opinion. :)

There is a vast difference between a pro that can dance and has trained in dance for that last 10-20 years and a "star" that can dance who needs training.

I completely disagree that he isn't even bothering to train Jodie. I just don't he's very good at it.

Just read that Jodie was rushed by ambulance to the hospital with an ankle injury. No word yet on if she will be able to continue on the show Monday.

I really hope she is okay.

Crap. Maybe Keo tried to 'push her'.
