Official Dancing With the Stars: Season 19

Alfonzo was not faking or over-dramatizing a back injury. You can tell by the way Witney hardly put any of her weight up against him. No leaning against him, except once. And the faux "lift" they did was her jumping straight up into the air, rather than landing against him or being lifted by Alfonzo.

Yeah, poor guy- he looks like he is in serious, heavy duty pain.

I really, really want him to win it all, but it is awful to watch him in such obvious distress. Hopefully he can work through this and perform next week.

I interrupt this Commentary to bring butter back with All About That Baste: http://m.today.com/parents/dad-thanksgiving-all-about-baste-funny-parody-video-1D80297634

Mark and Sadie
Argentine Tango

Get.rid.of.the.guitar.

*yawn*

Len: felt their two styles were the farthest apart in difficulty. Agrees with me about the guitar.
Julianne: liked the guitar to keep a barrier between them for such a sensual dance.
Bruno: did all the correct steps. Agrees with Len she should be back next week.
Carrie Ann: tough song to dance too--did well with it. Liked the guitar as it forced then to stay connected.

I am still at *yawn*.

That video of Tommy's was like he's running for office.

I concur--but when they fail to disclose and make all injuries seem like major show stoppers, I was skeptical. He definitely held back. But I stand by that one day of no dancing indicates that the injury wasn't as serious as it could have been. Likely he is dancing through the recovery when most anyone else would be sitting idle waiting for the back to heal first.

And quite likely had daily PT treatments to help mitigate his condition from worsening and will continue those through next week.

But I shall point out he had a miraculous recovery from his groin injury. I wonder how much of that led to compensation that caused his back to go out.

Darn football game. I can't see this until tomorrow. Guess I'll have to see what happens here. I can't wait.

Tommy and Peta
Rumba

The song is creepy.
I'm not so sure about Rumba in a tutu.

Julianne: magical and fantastical--and she thought of Nutcracker like I did.
Bruno: again with a ballet reference. (Rumba, people. Rumba!)
Carrie Ann: master and his muse. Poetry. Magic.
Len: guarantees that no one as old as him will get this far on DWTS. Well done.

Tommy did better with this slow Rumba. The slow timing worked better for him. His moves were sharper and more confident. He had time to think what the next move was. He had more follow-through with each move.

8s and 9s for Tommy and Peta.

Bethany and Mark

Is it prop night?

Contemporary. Picture frame makes better prop than guitar.

Certain camera shots after the dance make them look like they have no clothes on.

Judges all loved it.

Janel and Val---

Wow--she played little Cosette in Les Mis.

Argentine Tango:

Is Val seriously playing a Violin????:faint::blush: 10!!!!

Oh wait dancing.

I love her lifts. And she dances so well without the whole...bimbo bit. That was lovely.

Anyone wondering how long they will date once the show ends?:offtopic:
:rotfl:

Carrie Ann: of the girls -- most dynamic. She no likey the lifts. (Well boo to you!)
Len: likes, but agrees with Carrie Ann on lifts.
Julianne: she has God given gifts and gives everything she's got.
Bruno: loves the lifts. (Amen!)

Val, violin could totally be a chick magnet. Harry Connick Jr plays piano and sad. Just sayin'!

9's and 10's

Alfonso and Witney

Nice dance. He didn't seem as "cautious" this time. More into it. She definitely had some assists for him on the various stunts.

And best unplugged version of a song tonight.

Judges amazed with what was done. Julianne said great job on choreographing within his limitations but not devaluing the dance. (*cough*tommy&peta*cough*)

10s except for Len.
