One great cast change already announced last week:

No more Brooke! She got canned last week.
She's been replaced with Erin Andrews. (She was partnered with Maks on a previous season.)

I guess you were tired or maybe it was auto correct, but shouldn't that be "Gold Medal Olympic Skater"? Interesting line up!

Bummer! I really like a LOT of the "stars" this season.

Danica McKeller - LOVED her in the Wonder Years, plus she's a genius.
Cody Simpson - O-M-G My DD is a HUGE fan. He is so freaking cute.
Billy Dee Williams - I loved Billy Dee and had a huge crush on Lando Calrissian and his jheri curls .
Diana Nyad - I love her determination but I don't think she will be a great dancer.
NeNe Leakes - I have no clue who she is.
James Maslow - Disney kid from Big Time Rush.
Sean Avery - No clue, I don't watch hockey
Drew Carey - Love, love, LOVE Drew!!
Candice Cameron Bure -Meh. I was never a Full House fan.
Charlie White - Skaters do very well on DWTS
Meryl Davis - See above
Amy Purdy - I remember her from Amazing Race. She had all these different prosthetics depending on what she was doing. I think she could be a real contender, especially with Derek as her partner.

It will be interesting to see Tom & Drew Carey interact throughout the season. Since they are both comedians who traveled in the same circuits, they are probably really good friends. It should be a funny season.

From GMA this morning, after Derek announced *the twist*: "We're going to get to a point in the competition where America will decide......" ( changing partners), then Tom added: "So don't get too fond of your partner!"

I wonder if Candace will do any shimmying? She's very religious and even shimmying may be to risqué for her?

Let's hope that this season will inspire him to come up with new moves!

They gave us Maks back, but took away Tristan. Life is so unfair.

I think Tristan would have been a much better choice for Candace than Mark. Remember how gentle & respectful he was of Valerie Harper last season? He was a true gentleman.

Since they brought in Henry this season, who is a newbie, (but has danced the 3 person dances with the stars & partners in the past,) I'm thinking Tristan opted out for some reason. I would think he gets first dibs to sign on before any newbies.

Well that sucks. It sounds like he's not even been asked back as part of the ensemble dancers.

How can the pros not have any knowledge of their standing with the show prior to the reveal? Certainly Tristan had to know something was up? Poor dude.

Anyone think the ice dancers will clean up?

They could make the finals or the semi finals but it won't be without a lot of hard work. Just because they are ice dancers does not mean they are a shoo-in for the mirror ball trophy. For one, they will have to learn to spin in the opposite direction they are used to on the ice and there are many other adjustments they will have to make.
They will also be headlining a national skating tour at the same time as competing in the show.

I am looking forward to seeing them as well as others such as Danica and Drew.
Should definitely be interesting!
