Official Dancing With the Stars: Fall 2015

Wow, KIM was holding Bindi up on her shoulders, until Bruno came along and helped her hold Bindi up. :thumbsup2

I don't think I've enjoyed a finale this much in a while.

Me too!
I listen to this Xs and Os song all the time on the radio and this is not at all what I expected the singer of it to look like-I liked the performance though! Jenna was FIERCE!

Did you know Elle King's biological dad is SNL alum Rob Schneider? Quickie marriage, didn't last. Elle looks a lot like Scneider's mom to me. I love her voice!
See you guys in March when we do this all over again!
You betcha!
YEA!!!! Bindi & Derek! party:

TC :cool1:

+1 I think my first post this season was that I was rooting for Bindi, and Chakka, lol.....I kinda book-ended my favorite contestant's this season

Really good finale, Bindi and Nick were both great! I have to say though, Bindi and Derek exuded joy in that final dance. They've been talking about that all season and I felt it right through the TV tonight. Derek too! Yay Bindi!

When did the Instant Dance disappear? Several seasons ago, I'm thinking. It was never a really good idea.

I agree, he killed it!

Ugh I love Andy singing so much, totally makes up for him disappointing me with his dancing lol

I am amazed by the number of dances that some of these pros (like Emma and Val) are in...I know its their job but thats still a lot of dances to remember!
I had just been thinking that I hadn't seen Sasha in a lot of dances, but there he was in that holiday number so maybe I just missed him in some of the others.

I was surprised to see the dancers do so many dances, too. That takes skill, talent, & brains to remember all of that. They were really good.

I'm shocked!

No.... I'm happy that they won. They totally deserved it! I loved many of her dances. She worked hard, and it showed.

I love how Nick said "Bindi deserved it". He's a stand up dude.

I thought so, too.

See you guys in March when we do this all over again!

Thanks for all your posts, everyone. I come here right after the shows to see what you've written, and really enjoyed reading along, even after the fact, ha ha.

This was such a fun season to watch!

Thanks for hosting again, imzadi.

Was I the only one who thought the finale had a frantic quality to it? I enjoyed the dances and songs but it seemed like people were continually rushing around. The results were what I expected. Although I do wish they had cut a dance and given the results more time. Usually Tom or Erin speaks to each couple as they are eliminated. No one was spoken to tonight.

When I saw Gary Busey (and the jockey) do the Santa routine I wondered if Gary would replace Dance Center as the comedy on the finale. I loved that scene.

See you in March.

I didn't host this thread. I'm more the thread "secretary" as I've been pretty much usually the only one willing to get up at 8am and be coherent enough

to write down all the stars when they get announced for the show on GMA. And this season, Mandy did a lot of the sleuthing, to find out most of the info ahead of time. :thumbsup2 :love2:

And then if no one announces the winner each week, there are always people who stop in later wanting to know who won, so we might as well post it so they don't have to ask. :teacher:

I only consider I'm "hosting" a thread when I send out all the PM e-vites & reminders to everybody to pick up munchies for the award show parties. It's quite a cheap way to have a party actually.

Mary Jo, come join us when we have The Bachelor, thread in January. Those are always fun. The show is so obviously scripted & fake nowadays with plants and phony dialogue. There's no more finding true love. It's such a soap opera that we have a good time making fun of what's going on and trying to figure out which girls will get booted off and which will stay. :hyper2: And you don't have to watch live. Many people DVR it and then post their reactions a few days later. It all works. :thumbsup2

It did feel a bit hectic with everyone running back and forth between sets. I liked the outside set with all the decorations. I liked the Gary Santa part.:santa: Glad Bindi and Derek won.:cheer2:

I stalk this thread frequently and really enjoy it. Here's a question that I've had all along-how are the celeb partners matched with the pros? It seems like some always get the given "less talented", while others (Derek) always seem to get the ones with a greater chance of winning. Just curious-I know that he's a great pro and can really teach, but he has never really had a partner who didn't have potential.

It's based off several things if I understand right. Celeb requests, personalities, height.

I think the producers want Derek to be around awhile, so they hedge their bets by not giving him someone who's likely to go soon.

I wonder how the other pros feel about this. It seems like some of them know that they'll never get a true shot at winning.

Good question. On the other hand, just being on the show has been a huge door opener for many of the dancing pros, win or not.

I 100% agree with you! I look at these dancers and marvel at their talent. I can't even walk without tripping!

I think Derek gets the good dancers for several reasons. He is a really good teacher/choreographer and can show off their talents. He is award winning and has a following of his own so they are going to want him on the show a long time just for that reason as well. I looked at Bindi and she was awesome but I think with some of the pros she might not have risen to the level she did. I give Derek props for the great job he does. Additionally, I can't remember him ever causing any drama on the show. Seems so even tempered.
