Official Dancing With the Stars: Fall 2015

If there are four judges, I hope they are given time limits. Carrie Ann has been getting more and more talkative. Glad to hear Len will not be flying back and forth like he used to, given what happened with Tamar and the Housewife this season.

Julianne has the lead in "Grease Live", as has been mentioned. Don't know when that is happening (can't wait to see it) but that should keep her pretty busy during that time.

I will be back for the Bachelor! It will be even more fun to watch after watching the first season of Unreal.

There will be four judges.

Grease live will be end of January show comes back in mid March.

Derek is very even tempered and patient where some pros aren't. I don't know though if Derek will stay much longer or he'll truly take a season off, I know there's been talk of Broadway.

I liked Julianne more than I expected to.
I am looking forward to Len coming back

I think Derek gets the good dancers for several reasons. He is a really good teacher/choreographer and can show off their talents. He is award winning and has a following of his own so they are going to want him on the show a long time just for that reason as well. I looked at Bindi and she was awesome but I think with some of the pros she might not have risen to the level she did. I give Derek props for the great job he does. Additionally, I can't remember him ever causing any drama on the show. Seems so even tempered.

Derek mentioned that Bindi brought back his enjoyment of being on DWTS. He didn't say it quite like that but what he said made me think that being on the show had gotten stale for him.

I don't know what the talk has been exactly, but with a production of Singin' in the Rain headed to Broadway next year I could definitely see him as Don Lockwood!

I believe that's the one I heard. I think it's just a wait and see.

I stalk this thread frequently and really enjoy it. Here's a question that I've had all along-how are the celeb partners matched with the pros? It seems like some always get the given "less talented", while others (Derek) always seem to get the ones with a greater chance of winning. Just curious-I know that he's a great pro and can really teach, but he has never really had a partner who didn't have potential.
I used to feel the same way. I thought that he was always given the "best" dancers. Between Brooke Burke, Nicole Scherzinger & Jennifer Gray he seemed to have the cream of the crop. Then the show started to throw him some curve balls: Fat girl Amber Riley, ex-fat girl Ricky Lake (who still carried the fat girl baggage) and Amy Purdy who has no feet. He brought every one of them into the final 3 by choreographing explicitly for them which allowed them to fly like butterflies. They are all amazing and they are amazing because of Derek. I truly don't think that any of them would have gotten that far with another pro.

And now we have Bindi who is just 1 year older than my own DD but seems to be a generation older because of losing her father so young (I know, my dad died when I was 12). What I liked most about Derek's relationship with Bindi and that it really seemed to be equal. Bindi was teaching Derek as much as Derek was teaching Bindi.

I used to be a Derek hater because I thought he got all the "good dancers" but I have come to realize that they are "good" because Derek makes them great.

I totally agree. The dancers that Derek gets are good because he makes them look good. I also don't think some of them would have done as well with another choreographer. He is the best choreographer on the show right now. I think that Julianne was good also.

I agree too. If you look at the Whip/Nae Nae videos posted before the show you can see that Bindi definitely did not have the same natural ability as a lot of the others. Even as a kid when she had her music videos (and presumably did at least some dance lessons) she didn't have the same rhythm, etc. that a lot of kids that age do (although some of her 'Croc Men' have gone on to have great careers!). I think if they were to give Derek the "good dancer" this year they would have given him Alexa.

Maybe Len will take Carrie Anne's place and she can just ride off into the sunset. :smooth:

If not, they might go to four judges. If that's the case, maybe, with any luck, they will get rid of the guest judges. Not a fan of them, especially when it is someone like Redfoo who knows absolutely nothing about ballroom dance.

I knew someone would have posted the engagement news on here. I hope it works for them. You never know with Maks.

Yes, hope it sticks! They have been dating for a while, broke up once and got back together. Lots of engagements on DWTS in the last year!
