In her defense, I would have been upset at that too. Come on man. At least pretend to be supportive and say she can dance adequately. But, he pretty much said how Sabrina & Shaun are incredible dancers. . . and then other times, he hasn't gotten women (Bristol) on that level. Way to make her feel better.

Well, I'm proud, that Bristol called him out. She may not be the best dancer, but I believe..she does her best. BTW, she looked stunning!

Voted for Kirstie & Maks on the phone. Are they second from the bottom? I know Bristol is the lowest. Trying to decide who to vote for online.

Who besides Bristol should go home? I know Kirstie isn't the best but I thought their dance tonight was great and I just want Maks to win.

I thought so too. But, this is like the 5th or 6th time where the judges have raved that Derek had the "best dance we've ever seen on DWTS." I often wonder if they just say that to stroke his ego, so he won't follow his sister Julianne and leave. I do think he is the best choreographer & dance teacher. But, I didn't think this dance was the level they were raving about.


Speaking of choreography, it is really great to see Tony & Louie get great dancers and that we get to see the advanced levels of what these guys can really do.

Nope, not at all. They certainly did not deserve the scores they were gifted with. At most, they should have been in with the 25.5 crew.

Glad there's other people who agree with me. But you're right, we shouldn't be surprised. It seems to me that some stars have to work up to their scores and others start off with great scores before they dance a step and just have to screw up to get their scores lowered, especially this season. Oh well. Tomorrow should be interesting: I haven't a clue who to expect to go.

Emmitt & Cheryl's paso didn't wow me. He was technically very correct, but it wasn't steamy, the way a paso should be, IMO.

I thought tonight was Bristol's best dance ... ever. Better than her whole first season. I was surprised that she picked a paso since she was so horrible at it before, but I thought she actually did well. As for Mark counting for her, he always does that! One more thing, I didn't feel that Mark was doing that "jazz hands" dancing he does to distract from his partner. He really was supporting her. That doesn't mean that I want her to stay, but I did feel she was less of an embarrassment.

I watched and here's what I thought of the dances (in dancing order):

• Drew and Anna - It wasn't a bad dance. Just wasn't my favorite
• Gilles and Peta - Oh my word. He's pretty. And he's a pretty good dancer.
• Melissa and Tony - I'm not a fan of hers but I enjoyed that dance.
• Apolo and Karina - One of my favorites of the night.
• Kelly and Val - My favorite dance out of the ladies tonight. She's surprised me so far.
• Kirstie and Maks - I just wasn't impressed with it. Maks doesn't help it either (never been a fan of his).
• Sabrina and Louis - Again, not impressed. I loved this dance when Mel B did it in Season 5 (it was my favorite dance style she did; not sure why). They just didn't add anything to it and the costume was very meh on her.
• Emmitt and Cheryl - I thought the dance was OK. Did love the ending though. Very impressive.
• Helio and Chelsie - He's my fave and I enjoyed this dance. Some don't come back if they make even a minor mistake but he did and never stopped smiling. All of my votes went to him.
• Bristol and Mark - That was not her worst dance she's ever done but she is just not up to par with the others.
• Shawn and Derek - I enjoyed it. It was entertaining. BUT they did break the rules and I'm glad they were docked for that (though I thought Carrie Ann and Bruno were quite generous compared to Len)

That said, I know at least one of the couples leaving tomorrow night should be Bristol and Mark. The other is a toss-up. Kirstie isn't that great IMO and I haven't been impressed with Drew this year. But there's still that risk that anyone else could go.

As long as it's not Helio, I'm a happy girl. But I would be sad to see Val's, Apolo's, or Gilles' handsome faces go along with my Brazilian racer.

I liked it a lot. I thought that Shawn kept up with Derek's dancing and Derek kept up with Shawn's gymnastics. I had to vote before I could see them dance, so I'll throw a couple of my online votes for them tomorrow.

I totally agree. I am no fan of Bristol's (trust me) but if I were her, I would be really angry after the "slam back" she got last week for breaking the rules. Shawn and Derek's dance would have been a fantastic freestyle but it was not even close to being a real quickstep and even though Carrie-Ann said she would have to "slam" them too, she still gave them a 9 which is ridiculous.

I would also be peeved if I were Sabrina who tried so hard to NOT break the rules and ended up with a lackluster dance. Then she sees Derek and Shawn break 400 rules and get a fantastic score.

Based on tonight, if I were one of the pros, I would just choreograph whatever the heck I wanted from here on out and see what happens since it doesn't seem to matter if you follow the rules of the dance anymore. At least if you are Derek.
