You should hear the uncut version.![]()
LOL..true..when I condense, I CONDENSE.
It's hard to answer HydroGuy's questions since we don't know how things will be done this year. Last year they made changes for the crowd control as they went along..it was interesting seeing them change and adjust as they went. I think the Arena will have to be done the same as last time as there is no where else to corral people. I also think we will have much larger crowds this time. Last time, I heard they had bussed in CMs the first day to fluff out the Arena.
OK..you line up at the CC doors and it stretches back, back, back. I think last time this was only for the first day so you could get your wrist band and guidebook, so other days only had the lines of those who were doing just a day or two. I think D23 get in 1 hour early? like last time? so not sure when the doors open. Really..so different than last time where they had the huge lines at the Dream Store area to get the different vouchers each day for limited items. This time they have many more shopping venues so that should help.
For the Arena line up when you see the crowd get big..we tended to watch the line, which you can see from the show floor, and when it looked about half way full we sucked it up and joined it. We liked the balcony and worked to get there.
For the smaller venues, they changed how this was done daily..by the end they had you line up in a section on the show floor then herded you up to the room before the presentation. I think this was done since just lining up outside the room caused a ton of line cutters and they couldn't figure out where to cut off the line since everytime they counted their count was off. The venues for the presentations besides the Arena are small..I think Jeffrey said 500 and 750..Steven mentioned that they were seeing about moving one of them up to the third floor for larger capacity. I am thinking this Expo, with a year to plan and sell tickets will have MUCH bigger crowds than before and for things you REALLY need to see plan accordingly.
We had no trouble bringing in string cheese, granola bars, nuts, etc., and that can get you through the day if you have a decent breakfast. Last time we made food runs while in line, but don't know how that will work this time.
Again, I really think this one will be run much different so very hard to speculate. However it is, it will be VERY worth it and just a great time.
