Hi everyone! I'm subscribing because I too hope to get the free dining - for the third year in a row! It would be awesome, but I'm afraid the the good luck is coming to an end - too many people know about this and are already booking trips in hopes of seeing it. Disney will see the bookings and decide they don't need to offer again... (I hope I'm wrong!). But it doesn't matter because I love Disney and will go anway!

There is a code, not a pin, that I got on a different thread that is good for packages at various times throughout 2007. In August it starts on the 26th. Didn't do me any good because I want at least 11 nights. The person I spoke with said that they offer these in order to fill during slow times. I think everyone should cancel their August trips so it will be slow and we can get a good price. Other people that have booked said that it was better than free dining???? I am very jealous...

The CM I spoke to the other day said he didn't think there would be free dining offered this year. I'm hoping he's just saying that to throw people off!

And...I booked my trip for August 10-19th...my question is, what if the free dining starts on the 13th? Do I get free dining for a portion of my trip only? Am I better off changing my reservation to the next week?

I guess you could do two bookings back to back, try and get an AAA rate for the the other part.

keep in mind that the free dining for the folks booking the bounce back program begins August 5th, so you still may be OK. But you could always book 2 reservations too to start when the program begins (if).

We all have AP's, but booked one day base tickets with our room to make it a "package" so that we could apply free dining if it comes out. (All based on the advise of the CM!) Hopefully he will be right! He also said that we could apply a PIN code (if we got one) or an AP discount along with the free dining. (I read somewhere earlier in the thread that you could not combine discounts & free dining and got a little worried. I called back and another CM confirmed that discounts could be combined).

Either way, we'll be at Disney!

I will be shocked if they allow you to combine the free dining with an ap discount. Right now, AP holders cannot even get the dining plan, unless they buy a ticket and buy the room at rack rate. Normally, you can get paid dining with a AAA discount if you book through AAA (and buy a ticket). But last year, with free dining, you had to decide between the AAA room discount OR the free dining. Couldn't have both.

CRO people give wrong info very often.

I wonder why the start date that was offered to the UK residents is different from the start date that was offered during the bounce back program? Just curious...

I truly don't know why the dates were different for the UK folks, only that it might correspond to their vacation paterns. I know late August is when a lot of British travel to disney.
