Official "Castle" thread! Spoilers welcomed!

Just saw that Stana will be on The Chew tomorrow. Hope the interview lasts longer than on GMA today. If you blinked, you missed it!! LOL

But my crazy thought? Kate gets fiired!

You were right!!! And considering all the things that she did during that case, I'm not surprised. I just hope that Castle can get his money back on that apartment he bought/rented. :happytv:

There's a first time for everything I guess! I was shocked I was right. And I think that was an interesting way to get her back to NY.

What have you been reading, Missy? ;-)

Nothing official. Mostly blogs & unofficial websites, but none of them guessed this. They all figured it would be Kate would not like the shades of gray or she missed NY or missed being a homicide detective.

I didn't want to give too much away yesterday, but actually, someone did guess it, or more accurately, someone leaked it. The firing was leaked by someone who saw the ep at PaleyFest. (I stumbled across it by accident when I was trolling for PaleyFest info.)

Mind you, that isn't to say that Kate wasn't having serious second thoughts re: the shades of grey, and despite the look of shock on her face, she had to have known there was a very strong possibility that she would get caught. McCord heard what she said in the observation room, so when the CIA went looking for heads to roll, McCord knew who did it. My guess is that the deer-in-headlights expression was more for McCord's first statement than her last -- I think for a minute she was afraid that that she might be prosecuted for it.

Also, FWIW, I don't think Castle will have trouble canceling the DC apt.; he was about to tell Kate that if she didn't like it they could cancel, so I'm guessing that what he did was put down a substantial deposit with final purchase contingent on her approval.

Nope, didn't read that anywhere. The people I follow on Twitter who were at Paley didn't leak that out at all. I just put all the pieces together & came up with that crazy conclusion. I'm shocked - I've never guess right with this show at all.

I'm working on my likes for that episode, but I had to share this before I forgot. When they first met the guy from the CIA, he hands his ID to Esposito and says "Mario Lopez can check me out." Of course, Mario was on Saved by the Bell, the show they were basing "Too Cool For School" on. :lmao:

Also, another great parallel to a past episode. In "Boom", the 2nd part of the season 2 2 parter, after Rick refuses to give up any 'details' of his sleepover at Kate's, Espo says "I can't even look at you". He used the exact line to Rick last night!

I was thinking..... Castle might want to hang on to that apartment. His place in NYC is getting a little... crowded. I'm sure he and Kate would like to have some space for a little "alone time".:love::love:

Well, according to Alfred Sole (#CastleArtDept), the show's production designer, Beckett's loft is still an active set, which means she kept it. If she sub-let it, I think that the tenant is about to get his/her lease bought out. ;)

BTW, I think that what I found to be the best aspect overall of 6x03 was that Castle had to go back to trying to weasel his way into crime scenes. I was really disappointed that no one told him to "stay in the car!" (The bit where the criime-scene tape hit him across the face was classic.)

(My favorite bit was probably when Espo called McCord "Clarice". :lmao:He just could not resist rubbing her face in the fact that the CIA was pulling the strings, and she didn't have a "need to know".)

I like it, but it would have been even better if it had really crawled between the scenes. ;)

They do that rather often with the background dressing: for instance, in the ep "Reality Star Struck" the posters and graffiti on the bus stop were full of gag images, including a Firefly reference. Most of the time it goes by so fast that you don't even catch it.

Re: 6x04 promos , the actress playing the hostage-taker (Alicia Lagano) was reminding me of someone, and it took me awhile to realize who. Except for the hair, she has a rather strong resemblance to Scandal's Katie Lowe; the voice, in particular, sounds very similar.
