Can someone pretty please PM Linda from the GF's phone number to me? A million thanks!

ms mckenna: Which page is your picture on. I'm trying to go through this long long thread but I haven't found it yet and the search just isn't working for me. Thanks!

I'm not Ms mckena, but her pictures are on page 121. ;)

Thanks for the info...now maybe I need more help. I don't seem to be getting most pictures. Is there something I can do for them to show up. I had not noticed a problem until this thread and I can see some of the ones on the first few pages. Any ideas?

So many awesome cakes!!! I'm so glad I found this thread. As of right now we are planning on celebrating DH's 40th Birthday next April at WDW and I had wondered what I would do about a cake.

So is there an official website to view Disney cakes at? Does anyone else have any good birthday cake photos to share? I'll be honest though I haven't looked through all 120-some pages of posts to see all the photos of cakes so I might have missed something. I'd also love to know what some of the fellow DISers favorite cake flavors were/are. Not exactly sure where we'll be the day he turns 40 yet since it's still over 7 months away. Unfortunately we'll have DS with us so going to a nice upscale restaurant is out of the question. :(

I just ordered a $12.50 cake. Probably way to small. Think they could change it, if I called back. Just 2 of us, but I was hoping it might last 2 deserts. Ordered it for the room. Just want a regular little slice each.

The reason I didn't get the $25 cake is they said it was also 6-inches, but taller? Has anyone experienced that? How tall is the $12.50 one? Pictures.? Thanks.

I ordered one for my Dh's b-day on 8-26 and was told the $25 dollars cake was an 8 inch cake. It was ordered from CP.

I am going to go ahead and add all the cupcake pictures I have as well as the ones from her Will Turner cake. The CM that I booked all my dining ressies with put one of the kids bdays and every ADR it was fun but not something I would do again. Definately a bit much. ;)
Not a great picture of the Sundae but they put a candle in his make your own sundae at Spoodles and brought it to the table. The waiter said the typical bday thing was chocolate cake.

We had breakfast at Ohanas and they gave him a vanilla cupcake with the confetti type sprinkles just like above on it ... I forgot to get a picture.

Dinner at CP the table was scattered with confetti and curly q's, she also got a pinwheel and then the cupcake.

Chocolate cake from CRT at breakfast. The table with scattered with castle and cinderellas coach foil confetti.

Her cake from Coral Reef. They said that the kitchen really enjoyed doing it because it was different from what they normally asked for. She could not have been more happy with it. :goodvibes:
Shelbysbday126.jpg

All around the side it had these smaller pictures of Will Turner.
Shelbysbday019.jpg

Bday cupcake at Akershus. It had a medallion in the top of it as well that was white chocolate and said happy bday but I didn't take the picture fast enough.
The only other one we had was CM and it was just like the cupcakes in the pictures above.

I love the cake, may I ask how much was it? How did it taste? Who did you call to order it? I love your daughters name it happens to be my daughters name and she will be 14 next month..:goodvibes

There are 120 pages here and it would take me forever to read all of them to find the answer to this question, so I'm just going to ask in hopes that someone might know.

My husband's birthday falls during our next planned trip. He isn't a big fan of sweets but loves carrot cake. Do you think they offer that flavor? My husband's name is Don and he shares a certain temperment with a duck of the same name. We tease him endlessly about it. I'd love to order him a carrot cake decorated with an angry, temper tantrum throwing Donald Duck. It think it'd be hysterical, I know he'd get a huge kick out of it (so would the kids).

Does anyone know if they offer carrot cake? How about Donald Duck displaying that trademark personality?

Thanks for the help :0)

In the last 3 weeks, I've read all 120 pages of this thread. Whew! I'm tired, but I wanted to know as much as possible before ordering my parents' 50th wedding anniversary cake. The only instance that I can recall of a cake that wasn't chocolate or vanilla (or marble) was on a wedding cake. I think it was Hazelnut or something like that.

If you want something creative, you should probably plan on dining either at the Grand Floridian or at the Boardwalk if you aren't staying at one of these properties. Call the cake hotline and get transferred to GF or BW private dining and talk to the person at WDW. It may cost extra to get the carrot cake. You'll have to order at least a 10" cake in order to customize it. Those cakes start at $40.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Lisa

After agonizing over all the delicious cakes on this thread the past few weeks I finally decided against a cake (will wait until next June's Surprise Birthday trip and order the adorable Mickey head cake ). I finally ordered 10 chocolate tuxedo starwberries from GF Private Dining to be delivered to the room. Total is $65 including tax, delievery and gratuity. They promised to include a Happy 10th Anniversary card as well.

I'd like to do something special to cap off our last night in Disney..it's my Mom and I and our first Christmas trip to Disney. We are eating at the Coral Reef but it's just the 2 of us and a 6" cake is way too big plus we are leaving the next day so no point in trying to take it back to the room. Any ideas on what I can do?

Can you have the chocolate covered strawberries or something similiar delivered to PoR? I would love to be able to set up a special treat when I send my parents on their surprise carriage ride for their 46th anniversary. I did not see a cake hotline for PoR. Any suggestions?

I read where the divers will hold up a sign saying Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary. I don't know if they can write anything but if they do maybe you could arrange a special saying for your mom.

Does anyone know what the desserts are on the DDP for LTT character dinner, Kona lunch, Boatrights dinner, and Garden Grill character dinner? Which one do you think an add on would be nicest and any ideas what they could do? Thanks!

The cake hotline number 407-827-2253 can be used for all cake orders, whether to a restaurant or a resort. Just follow the prompts for the right resort. (I called shortly after the "cake hotline" number was announced to inquire about delivery to CBR and it was no problem. I just left a message after going through the prompts and received a call back within the hour from CBR Food Services. I was told the cake would be from Boardwalk Bakery which seems to be the case for most of the resort deliveries.)

Do they use buttercream or whipped cream icing on the birthday cupcakes....like the one at Akershus?

Thanks!

Just FYI, if you're dining at the Garden View Lounge (tea at the Grand Floridian):

When you call the cake hotline number, you'll punch the number for the Grand Floridian Resort, but Garden View Lounge is not given as one of the options. If you dial the digit listed for Grand Floridian Private Dining, they will be able to help you.

I just spoke with a very pleasant and helpful lady named Cybil who helped me with ordering a cake for our anniversary next week.

There will only be three of us for DH's birthday at the Coral Reef, and I was thinking about getting tuxedo strawberries there. I had seen someone's post of them on this thread, but don't know how much they cost at CR. I thought that would be a good change from cake.

Does anyone know the cost of the tuxedo strawberries at Coral Reef? (They don't just do the chocolate covered ones, do they?)

The diver deal is really cool if you can arrange it. :goodvibes: We did it for DD's bday 2 weeks ago and she about flipped.
