Well I was very lazy in making the first part of our august trip resort reservation-which means I actually did our FP on day 59 this week-took me all day too, as I thought I had a couple more days to plan LOL! Had park maps, around me, and toggling back and forth between Touring Plans and MDE to see FP+ times. Now for the good news for those still waiting to book FP-lots of availability for Pandora rides. I did start with towards back end of trip (CSR 8/6-8/9, then SSR 8/9-8/14)-started with 8/11 for our AK day, then 8/12 for 2nd AK day. Lots of times to choose from. Even FEA had lots of times (although I was given an emphatic "no" when I asked if anyone had interest in riding). I even moved times around for FoP a few times (with hours between attempts). I am now debating whether to keep the PPO TH reservation as I don't think we will need it to do Pandora, but I expect park hours to change anyway so that can be dropped later.
Mission Space isn't available to book for early August (yet) even though refurb is planned to be done by end of July. We have a PPO Garden Grill reservation for Epcot day-we will hit Soarin first thing, do test track and work our way around. I didn't even bother to get FP for Epcot (this park really needs more rides), instead letting us hop to DHS for a few hours (my DS can ride star tours all day).

60 days from arrival today. We started making our FP+ selections. Got Frozen Ever After on our first Epcot day, and Big Thunder, Splash, and Pirates for our first MK day.

Did you make FP selections for Pandora? IF so, did you get your desired times for FOP and Navi? What day of the trip are these scheduled and time of day? Sorry for all the questions but I am really trying to gauge recent 60 day FP selection availability for these rides. Worried I may have to switch my morning FP for FOP on day 2 to evening FP on day 5 of our trip. My FP day is this Saturday. TIA

So many questions lol. I have not done Pandora yet. We have a one night on site stay booked at the beginning of our vacation, hence us making FP+ selections for the first two days of our trip today. After this, we will have a rolling 60 day window, so one worth of FP+ get booked every morning until we have booked the entire trip. I have only one day in AK, which is Sunday August 13. We will be making the FP+ selections for that on Wednesday I believe, and my goal is to FP+ Flight of Passage, then do Na'vi standby at rope drop. I'll let you know how the FP+ selection goes for that. I'm not counting on getting an early time for FoP, but afternoon, or evening is fine with me, as long as it doesn't get in the way of RoL.

FP isn't difficult, but if you've never done it before, I would go through a "dry run" getting used to the screens where you select the members of your party, the date and park etc. Familiarize yourself with it so when your window opens you already know the steps. I find it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to schedule FP+ for one day, so if you are doing a 10 day trip, you will probably be investing an hour of your time, give or take a bit.

Oh thanks Tomh, I appreciate you! Yes, I'm quite the FP newbie, so it should be interesting. Even more interesting is the fact that I can bring up the MDE site on my home computer and cell phone, but it will not come up here at work....where I was planning to come in early and do the FP's.
I've been told they are doing site maintenance, but I've been able to, like I say, bring up the MDE at home and on the phone......weird. Can you do a dry run as the time gets closer to the actual FP day?
Anyway, thanks SO much for your help and time Tomh!!!!!

You can do a dry run simply by selecting a day that is within the next 30 days. Just don't go all the way through to selecting the FP. That way you know what you are doing, and won't waste time figuring it out when your FP+ window is open.

I had no problems getting FP for FoP on our day. Still lots left for NRJ. Even had choice of times/days for mine train. FEA available too but none of us had any interest in it. And I was a day late starting our FP

Just checked (have an extra day on my ticket)- as of August 9- multiple times for FoP (at least for 1 person) available from that day onward. Hopefully everyone gets what they want!

Currently 95 degrees here in MA - spending time walking outside imagining being in Orlando in August! Interesting that Orlando is 77 right now, looks like a storm rolling through. I was checking wait times and saw so many outdoor attractions temporarily closed - I had a moment of "what the heck is happening at MK right now" until it hit me it must be raining! 70 days!!

same here. I've been saying to DD the past 2 days "this is how it will be in WDW!" Hopefully we will just be so happy to be in WDW that it won't bother us.

I made fp's for AK on my 3rd day, so on Sun. Aug.13. There was no FOP availability in the morning but lots of availability at all other times of the day. Navi had availability at all times including the morning.

I don't think I posted this past week when I made our FP's. FoP wasn't available at all in the morning on our 2nd day which is when I wanted it but there was plenty of late afternoon/evening availability. I ended up just getting an afternoon FP for it on another day. DH and I loved FoP when we rode it during the AP preview last month Na'vi had lots of availability both days.
