Hey everyone!

Decided to make a last minute mother son trip to WDW before he goes back to preschool.

Just booked our flights and now waiting for TA to get back to us on our room.
I got an AP for the first time and plan on getting DS his when we get there.

Does anyone else feel like those last couple of weeks before trip drag on forever? Summer's going by so fast but these last few days have felt like an eternity! I think I'm just so ready for our vacation, ready to get away, and ready for some family bonding time

DH is going out of town for work in a few days, I'm hoping (praying!) those days fly by! Once he gets back it's nothing but packing before our drive.... CANNOT WAIT!!!

Yes, I totally agree I do feel like time is going to drag now. We are having a nice summer and in now way do I want it to be over yet but... I really can't wait to go to Disney already.

We just got our Magic bands today and just got a FP for BOG. Now what?!?! I feel like there must be something else for me to do. After all of this planning now that I think I'm officially done I keep thinking I must be missing something. I guess I may just keep changing around my ADR's and see what I end up with . I swear I think I have booked and changed ADRs about 15 times already. I can't help it I'm really enjoying this whole process way more than I ever thought I would

Oh goodness these weeks will drag! I agree wholeheartedly! We actually just went through and divvied up everything that can be packed now into "carry-on", "personal item", and "luggage" categories. We have things "packed" loosely - obviously clothing isn't packed.

I feel silly starting to pack now but I'm using the argument that this week is our only "free" week between now and the time we leave since next week we have appointments, a wedding, and we have to leave our apartment for 3-4 days while they do a major repair on our ceiling and by the time we come back from that we'll only have 3 days left before we leave (omg D

I did not know you got an e-mail about your magic bands being shipped!
My tracking said it left Springfield, MA today. I think we will get them today
My kids are getting crazy excited, and they are teens now...so it is extra nice to see the kid like excitement in them

My youngest DD saw a UPS truck and came running in my bedroom and said " I think they are here!!!" the truck was next store...I had to convince her they were not, so cute this is the stuff I love

Hey everyone-I've been MIA but trying to catch up a bit. Is anyone else having terrible luck with BOG FP? I've tried for all of our MK days (14th, 15, 19...we're there the 22nd too, but it's only lighting up as available to the 20th). It keeps saying none are available.

The other issue is that my parents are on a different res number because they're in a different room. They don't have an MDE account-I've done everything through mine. When I signed in with my info, my family showed up but not them as options for FP. So I went in to look for them and ended up changing it to their res, and now just they are showing up and not us. I'm thinking if I actually DO get one, it will only be for the 2 of them and I won't be able to switch the account back to me. I hate hate hate Disney "technology". Why can't it be easy?!?!

Ughhhh.....No words of wisdom on this, but I feel your pain.

I have friends and family who will be joining us next month and they finally booked their package yesterday. I was up until midnight trying to figure out how to match fp's. I don't want to link their reservations to mine because they are flying down to surprise my husband for his 50th birthday.

So I'm going from part to full time. So I think this will make the time go fast. One of my first thoughts: should I add any plans to the trip knowing I've just upped our family income. But I really haven't added anything, which means I'm pretty happy with how I've planned so far I do think once we're there, though, it'll mean less worry on food and souvenir spending.

Awesome thanks. I've heard so many different counts for how many days out you can do it. I'll fight it out tomorrow

I'm so excited-it's feeling so real!! My daughter knows about it now too, and she keeps asking "I go to Disney World today?" It's so adorable. I cry already. I'm gonna be a mess when we're actually there.

Yes!!! It is definitely dragging by and of course we're coming into a very busy time at work right now so I can't wait for the break!!

Congrats!! Thats super exciting and such an awesome way to leave for vacation! I would maybe set a side a little extra if it comes in before you leave and just see if there is anything that pops up that you'd want to do while you're there to celebrate, like maybe a tour or a nice dinner!

I'm jealous that you live on the South Shore! I live up Framingham way and every time we drive to the ocean (which we both adore and wish we live closer to) we always say we want to live there. And hope your magic bands came! Once they left Springfield they showed up for us too so I'm hopeful for you!

When DH & I surprised our children (7 and 8 at the time) - I waited until 2 weeks before and started taking their clothes from the clean laundry and packing them- and would tell them I hadn't gotten to do the wash yet - forced them to wear other things and they didn't question - even though it never takes me that long to do clothes. Just remember it is a fun challenge - good luck with keeping the secret as you get down to the end.
