Garden Rocks dining package reserved but …

So I booked a Garden Rocks dining package for our party of 4 to see Simple Plan. But now one person has a conflict (has to virtually attend a mandatory meeting that can’t be rescheduled) during the reservation time and now, of course, there are no other times or even other restaurants available at all. She will be able to attend the show that evening, however. There is no option to modify the reservation, at least not online, and I have read that if the reservation is for 4 and one is a no-show, you still pay for 4.

My question is: If we pay for her meal, even she’s not there to eat it, will we be able to get her ticket for the show?

If they make you pay for the package receiving her ticket would be non-negotiable, you literally purchased the ticket. However, while there was a report of someone having to pay for everyone including their no-show person on an epcot dining package here on DIS some time back, more recently reports from Candlelight and Eat to the Beat have been restaurants have adjusted the amount of people at check in when asked without issues.

We booked a party of 3 for Candlelight Processional in December because there were no ADRs for 2. Only 2 of us showed up, and there was no question at all of having to pay for 3. We only paid for the two of us.

But, if that 4th person still wants to go to the show, won't they also have to pay for the dining package for that 4th person to get the reserved seating? Only 3 can eat, but 4 want to go to the concert later on. If you only pay for 3 for the dining package, then only 3 would get the reserved seating - I would think. That 4th person could still attend the concert, but they would have to be in the standby line, not reserved.

She definitely still wants to go to the concert. And we definitely don’t mind paying for her uneaten meal for her to be able to join us at the show. Just wanted to make sure that they will let us do that and we don’t show up to the restaurant only to discover that it’s against the rules.

I would keep her dinner reservation if she plans to go to the concert later on with you. She could attend the concert later if you cancel her from your reservation, but she would have to go to the standby entrance. Make sure the restaurant is aware that she will be going to the concert with you later, especially if they only see 3 people dining! Maybe they will give you something "to go" for her??? Enjoy the show!
