I can not contain my excitement! We are going 8/26-9/02 staying at Bay Lake Towers. In two will be my DW, DS (3.5) and my parents. Gonna be an amazing trip as my first two times were in the 80s with my folks, and now we all get to experience another first time with my lil' guy. He is equally obsessed with all the Clubhouse characters and everyone from the Pixar films, but the moment he encounters Buzz Lightyear is going to be amazing.

He not only doesn't know we are going, but actually has no idea of the concept of what WDW is. We're still debating if we tell him, or just let him see it for himself for that magical first time. Finding this site has just made me even more eager to go. Never thought I'd be wishing the END of the summer would get here so fast.

Hi everyone. We are booked for Fort Wilderness, trying the camping bit in our camper this time. Should be an interesting car ride with 3 kids ranging from 17months to 12 and 17 hour drive.
August 22nd to the 29th.
Adrs are booked just waiting to make fast passes hoping for Anna and Elsa and Disney Jr Show

Kind of sad that all the planning is done... it makes the waiting that much harder :lmao:

Don't you have fp's to book in the next week and a half or so? I think that's the hardest part of planning. FP times are when I really second guess myself. :scratchin

Haha, I am an adamant fantasy football player and every year I do 10 "Mock" drafts before my live draft. I wish we could do that with FP booking because I am more anxious about this than I ever have been for one of my football drafts, haha.

This will be my fourth trip so far with FP+ and we have AP's so I'm used to the system. Other then Anna and Elsa and The Mine Train, I'm not worried about FP availability. For me it's trying to work them around ADR's and use them early enough so I can get a fourth FP.

That would be perfect!!!

3 days til fast passes for me! I was telling my dad that I was debating staying up til midnight, and he suggested we turn it into a FP party. The next day at school is Field Day-I think I can pull that off on 4 hours of sleep :lmao:

I didn't know about this early check in at 60 days too. This could be a good time for me to see if my rooms are already booked as preferred/king bed/connecting rooms, right???

Hi August folks! I just booked a short trip in August for Villains Unleashed, so I thought I'd pop over and say hi! :goodvibes

Courtney

6 days til FB booking for me!

Since I'm not booking A&E, i've deciding to wait and book this when i wake up (by 5am)

time will tell if this was a good idea :p

Haha, only Disney Vacationers could turn booking their rides 60 days in advance into a late night event! Love it! (And Field Day can totally be done on a few hours!)

I believe with early check in you can request 2 specific things like bed size/connecting room. I don't think it guarantees them, but hopefully doing it 60 days out will give us a better chance!

I'm 11 days. I had no interest in seeing E&A until FP started. No way will I wait in line anywhere over 20 minutes with a four year old. Lol. I think I am going to take a shot at it now. I have 2 days in MK. The 2nd day and 6th day. I probably have a better time with day 6 at midnight. If I don't get it....she'll never know they existed in MK. Haha.

I would not tell my little guy about WDW and wait and watch the awe, especially if you take him to meet Buzz Lightyear. My son was convinced he was Buzz at that age and I would've given anything for him to go to WDW and see his eyes light up. We didn't go til he was about 10. He still took the obligatory pic with Buzz but it was not the same by far.

For those of you asking about Evernote :

My husband introduced me to it just for my obsessive Disney planning, lol!!!

It's a multi-device type of thing. If you go to the website and sign up, you can download a little "clip it" widget (like a pinterest "pin it" button on your tool bar...it looks like a tiny elephant head, and on my firefox it's in the upper right hand corner next to the home icon. I mention the placement b/c I couldn't find it right away after I downloaded it. I assumed it would be placed like my pinterest button). It saves whole pages or selected text. You can then get the app in the google play store(and for the iphone too, I assume), AND you can even download a desktop version so all of your saved info is available offline as well.

You can organize your clippings into notebooks/folders however you like.

I have all of my Disney stuff in one notebook: My itinerary page from the MDE website, Menus from allears, my google doc spreadsheets I've made for our touring plans, etc...That way it's all in one place and I don't have to open a ton of apps on my phone.

I'm still getting the hang of it, but I like it so far!

We're taking a girls trip August 28th-September 3rd for my daughters 5th birthday!! We'll be staying at CBR. Very excited and can't wait to make our FP!

We are booked through DVC for August 2-9 at OKW for a deluxe studio. We are also on a waiting list for WL. I was wondering if I were to check in early at OKW but then my wait list would be confirmed for WL.. will I still be able to stay at WL even though I already checked in at OKW? Thanks for the help!!

I don't know the answer to this, but if it were me, I would wait until closer to the trip (maybe a week before) to check-in online just in case (as difficult as it is to wait!).

63 days to go for me! Officially making our fastpasses this weekend! :cool1:

Question of the Day.......Is your trip paid off?

Mine is not! :scared1: I have only paid my $200 package deposit but my deadline is looming.......Plus we have to factor in gas and hotels (since we are driving). It's going to be an expensive summer! :hyper:

Oh.....and I still need to get some American money and I have not been following the dollar.....I'm sure I'll be in for a shocker when I hit the bank. :faint:

As of yesterday my half's paid off :cheer2:

Jem's however....lol. She's paying me the last of her stuff today or tomorrow after she gets paid then we'll be free and easy come Monday or Tuesday.

Question of the Day.......Is your trip paid off?:

My plane tickets are paid for, but I only have paid one night of three at our hotel and I need more park tickets. If I did the math, I guess a little over half is paid for. Luckily I get a stipend on my paycheck in 2 weeks that should pretty much cover all the rest! I also really need to start saving for extras like food, booze, and souvenirs.

Question of the Day.......Is your trip paid off?

yes, thank goodness!! It was so stressful for me with a balance hanging over our heads. I think we paid it off a month or so ago? Our 45 day mark is June 21, so I was super excited to get that out of the way earlier than I'd expected us to. Things kept coming up (new car, new dryer, etc...) and I was worried something would cause us to cancel.

We've had our plane tickets since December, so before our Disney package was paid for, I would joke that we were definitely going to Orlando for a week this summer...even if it was just to hang out in the airport, LOL.
