Here's to lots offur a hurricane-free vacation!
This is a GREAT blog on how WDW handled things during Hurricane Charlie in 2004. It made me feel a lot better. (I sent it to hubs in hopes of calming him down).
Check it out! So good to know that Disney has lots pof really good plans to take care of us.

Isaac has the potential to be a very strong hurricane and ALL of the models are in agreement that it will hit Florida at some point. This is a storm to watch everyone. They don't offer predictions more than 5 days out because the cone of uncertainty becomes wider and wider. Any slight movement in the storm, or interruptions could cause a different path, and different results.
Right now they are saying East Coast of Florida. By tonight that could be West. (as far as predictions)
It is time to watch it and make a back up plan.
Nobody knows at this point if it will come anywhere near Orlando and even if it did, Orlando is so far inland that it is safe. Disney does an excellent job of making sure everyone is taken care of. But the possibility of your flights being interrupted and bad weather is very real so have a plan in place.
Again, it could make a turn at this point and anything could happen but this is definitely one to watch and you are not overreacting.
Sorry for the lack of live updates, but the wifi here at cbr does not like me.
I forgot to mention in my last update that during lunch at epcot on Saturday I got a call that my uncle passed away. It is hard to be away from home at a time like this.
I think we have had rain everyday, but nothing that kept us from doing what we want.
The new fle looks like it is going to be great. Can't wait for it to open.
Sunday we went to TL for the first time and we all had a blast. Yesterday we started at DHS and went on everything we wanted except for.star tours. From what I heard they had to stop the fantasmic show 5 minutes into it. We ended the night at MK for wishes. Today we went to ak and they were hardly any waits. Tonight we go back to epcot.

All this talk about things not drying reminds me that I plan to toss a newspaper into my suitcase just in case I need to quick dry sneakers.

Just a quick question about this. Is this a trick I don't know about? What do you do with the newspaper?![]()
Now - someone PLEASE explain to me why we need an extra set of ponchos?I got the better quality nylon ones that fold into their own stuff sacks. DH said - "because they might not dry overnight". Errrr...why wouldn't they? (particularly since I packed a clothesline along with clothespins!). On top of that, is it really a big deal to put them on wet? They'll just get wet anyhow.
(I should add I'm packing them anyway...DH's peace of mind means a lot to me - means I don't have to listen to him nag and whine!!)
Remember though..this is the man who insisted I pack a 2nd set of crocs for him because "they may not dry overnight".He's got issues!!

My DD and I are the same size and will share 3 pairs of sneakers. My DS has two pairs of sneakers plus his crocs. As mentioned earlier, DH has TWO sets of crocs. I think we're well equipped![]()
Good tip....I think I will stop watching the weather too since it is inevitable that Florida and this time of year equals rain
. However, after reading Pigletto's post about Isaac, it's kind of putting a sting in the back of my brain. I just have to remember to come prepared because I'd much rather be sloshing around WDW with my ponchos on then being at home
.
