I'm SOOOOO excited. I got the 40% code in my emailbox last night! I had to switch to POP for the values (it's a cheap trip), but I saved $200 on my AAA rate. Wheeeeee.

Now, just to tell the kidlet on her birthday this Sunday!

Any idea what you have to do to receive the 40% discount?

I have been checking all the resorts since I received a 40% off code. Finally decided to book the Poly at $200/night. Great price but we need 2 rooms so that makes $400/night. In the back of my mind I keep wondering if we should stay at CSR because we can stay in 2 rooms there for the cost of 1 room at the Poly. The cost difference is $1600.00. (We can afford it, but should we! That would pay for our DDP) The part of me that likes deluxe wants the Poly. The part of me that wants to save $$ says go for CSR.

So I'm looking for people who have stayed at both that can compare the resorts for me. We usually go to Epcot every day so that is important to the family. The comfort of the beds is important also.

We stayed at both the Poly and CSR and are returning to CSR in August. If you have the dough, stay at the Poly! The resort is absolutely the best and the rooms are the largest of any of the resorts and the beds were great. Poly is on the monorail loop and it is only a short walk to the TTR for the mono to EPCOT. If money is an issue, as it is with us, CSR is our next favorite. We loved staying their previously and are looking forward to staying their again this summer. Whichever one you choose, it will be a good choice.

Well, I am very sad and hope that this is incorrect.
I just got off the phone with disney to see if there was a code attached to my name. There was not. I asked her if she knew about a promotion for the end of aug/sept. She said that nothing was in the works. I also asked her about the free dining. She said that this was offered in the past and disney is not doing that promotion this year.
Again I hope that she did not know what she was talking about but I am sad!!!

I ALSO talked to a CM today and asked about free dining. He told me that the CM's don't know until THE DAY OF if it is being offered. I believe his words were "It's always a surprise. We never know one way or the other until the day the promotion starts..."

CLEARLY...no one at Disney ever knows anything that everyone else seems to know...or not know...know what I mean?

I talked to a CM last week Quinton very nice CM! I asked him if there was any news of free dining for this year yet or any news that they weren't doing it? He said no we have not been told anything about Free dining yet! So we shall see but he was kinda hesitate! Hope that means good!

OK! I was pondering all day on what to do this trip was suppose to be a quick cheap trip! So I decided we would change from CSR to POP so I called and changed it saved me apprx $300 ! I have the whole works Dinning and Park Hopper etc..! After I was done I asked her if she could check and see if I had any codes attached to my name! She did and she stated no I didn't! I just signed my husband up last week for a dvd and I come home today and check my email and I have an email that states Welcome to Your Disney Dream come true maker: A Dream Offer for The Shaw Familydates 3/30- 4/12, 8/10-9/27, 10/19-11/1 for 30% off or if I was going in July like I had originally planned I could have gottten a Value Resort Room for $109 per Night! It was a 15 digit PIN Code! Funny thing is I don't think it was generated from the one I did a week ago I think it was from me from a month ago when we were going in July! Because my husbands name had August dates ! However I finally Got my Code! I'm so Happy! It took almost $200 off our Package! I'm excited! But this makes me wonder the more people that get these codes if they really are not going to do free dining! ? But I'm happy with what I got but free dining would be awesome for me and would probably be the better deal! Since our party of 4 Three of us are adult price and one is child! I'm still Hoping for Free Dining!

That is exactly what I was told last year when I booked my free dining. While the cm was checking for availablity we were chatting about how busy it was and I asked him if they knew ahead of time that free dining was coming and he told me no they don't find out until they come to work. He also told me that they work many hours when the promotions come out.

Well the former promo was upgrade to free waterparks and more so it willl be nice to see what we get for our time frame! The old promo is over in 5 days! Yes! Alot of people have recieved Pin Codes for percentages off but not everyone has! So even if Free Dining is not in the works which I'm hoping it is and disney is just waiting to see what they have available! I'm sure they will have some kind of General Public offer to draw people in ! And maybe they will wait until June to announce free dining? who knows? Yes it's late but if all these people booked rooms anticipating free dining then eventually disney will have alot of empties they have to do something with! So I still have hope!

I was wondering about that too. I haven't booked anything yet and probably won't if free dining doesn't come out. But I have read on these boards where a lot of people have booked already and will just cancel later if nothing happens.

And right now, when I put my dates in on the WDW website, I have my pick of any resort, any room, including the villas, except the standard room at the Cont. And that's probably just because they demolished about half of those rooms.

But we shall see...........I hope we see soon!

OK! I have posted on another thread titled I believe free dining 2008! And a DISER there has posted that a website called free touring plans.com has announced that they have heard rumors from mutiple sources inside and outside of disney that FREE DINING WILL BE OFFERED as of April 10th! Although it is not confirmed it is a rumor! I think we maybe off to a good start! Now I'm hoping 1 that the rumor is fact and 2 that my dates are within the time frame!! And I did check for myself just to see it with my own eyes!
