Official AUGUST 2008 CODES to be posted here please!!:)

Still waiting for my codes!!! I've called 2 times now and was told the same thing when I asked if there was a code attached to my name........."No nothing is attached to your name, if you are able to receive one it will either come via email or through snail mail" Uggg! Also I thought I would just add that I purchased airfare for 12 people, in October 2007 for our trip in August 2008. We are flying out of Boston, MA though. Prices were $258pp round trip non stop flight on Delta. I thought it was costly but I wanted to be sure we all got on the same flight.
Still anxiously waiting for some good August 16th-22nd codes......:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes pixiedust:

:disrocks: :tinker: Thanks for the yapta.com site. Good thing to know. I just checked it out and the prices are a couple dollars higher than what I paid for so no rebate check for me as of yet, LOL! Good Info though. I love this place:dancer: :grouphug:

OK! Thanks! So do you think I should switch now or wait til April! ? We R definitely going in August now but I really want to aim for free dining so should I just wait it out until General Public anouncement in April?or march like some rumors are saying that would be sweet since my dilemma! Thanks for your input!:confused3

All the rumors point to an August 31st start date IF there is the free dining. Is that date going to be good for your trip?

Question for those who have booked rooms with codes. Can you add the DDP? I asked on the DDP thread before and was told yes and now there is a thread where it says you can't add DDP to a room reservation. (I know you have to buy tickets from Disney to do DDP.) Anyone have experience with this?:confused3

You can add the DDP only if you purchase tickets also, this makes it a package. There is a window that you need to do it before your check in date, but I don't know what it is.

When you call to change your reservation, have the numbers worked out ahead of time so you don't loose your discount from a CM who is unsure of what to do.

OK...Will someone please tell me where I call to see if I can get a discount for my room reservations? We are going in Aug.'08. I have 2 rooms, one in my name and the other in someone else's name. If there is a discount can I apply it to both or will I need 2 different discounts? You all have so much information to offer here. I just love stopping by and catching up on all the good things going on at DIS.

OH, do I just say Hi...I have reservations and want to see if I can get a discount?:scratchin

We booked our room at Pop with a 40% discount then decided to add dining and tickets (must buy at least a 1 day pass to get ddp). It took the CM a couple of minutes to find out how to do it and she was even kind enough to give me the code she had to use since we were just pricing it out so we had it when we called back to book.

Thank-you both for the answers. I think I've got it figured out.:upsidedow

:tinker: Crossing my fingers -- hoping for an August code...7 Aug 08 !

Thank you Thank you...I had read about yapta.com but then couldn't remember the site. I will use this from now on...I just checked my flights (New York, LaGuardia to MCO) and had paid $218...they are now $449.

Glad I booked previously...Tim

Yikes. Good call. My procastination has already costed me $115 per person. I wonder how much higher it has to go before I bite the bullet.:thumbsup2

Last year when i booked free dining, i waited until the code came out. I did not book before. From what i understand just because you already have a ressie, it does not always mean you can use the code. you might have to switch hotel and things like that. If you are definatly going then I would book. You can always make changes later. Good Luck and have a great time.

Our airfare from Chicago/O'Hare to MCO is ridiculous. I'll only fly American and the rest of the fam will only fly nonstop.

It's over $2100 for the four of us for our August trip (we have rigid dates because my sister has to move back to school the day after we come home and she starts classes the day after that), so we're thinking of flying into Tampa.

It's an hour and 15 minutes drive (per Mapquest) from TPA to the GF and we'd be saving over $1100 on airfare for similar flight times, same flight dates, than flying into MCO.

Just a tip :)

Most of our trips, we fly into Tampa. Not only are the flights cheaper, but, so is the rental car.
The drive is worth the savings.

OK everyone, start checking Orbitz - flights are starting to come down in price. Just a friendly little FYI!:thumbsup2

Surprisingly, Orbitz found a better deal on AA than I did. However, their price was $17.67 higher than if booked through the AA website and that's including tax. So, always compare before you buy. Thanks for the Orbitz tip.:thumbsup2

:mic: Hey guys, you have been great but I've got my code and I might be interfering with the general subject of this thread which is "CODES" so I'm moving over to another thread I found:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1649489

I'm still subscribed and I'll be checking in from time to time. I'll also alert you if I receive any new updates from Disney. Thanks again for all your help and advice. BYE:sad:

For anyone living in Jersey.Spirit Air out of AC has flights to Orlando from $85.00 to $114.00 one way in August. Its $6.00 a day to park there. Just wanted everyone to know

Looking for codes in August too! I'm a newbie to he boards but we're booked already for the first week in Aug.

Ok I have been reading and reading and reading about these "codes". I am booking my WDW trip through AAA. Will I get a code in the mail? If I do will I be able to apply it to my trip. Please help I am dazed and confused.
