Official APH Rate Info for Universal Loews Hotel Properties

I don't currently have an annual pass, but plan to upgrade my tickets when I am there. Years ago I did this and I'm wondering if I still can. Can I book the annual pass rate for a hotel now, even though I will not have the annual pass at check in (but I will have it by check out).
Yes, you can do that! Just be sure to present your AP to the front desk once you have it so they don't bump you up to rack rate :)

FYI some really low Stella Nova AP rates have appeared. $80/night various weeknights in Nov/Dec, saw $98/night in Oct too. Time to recheck your dates for deals!

Thanks. I was able to save $60 for my one night in November :thumbsup2

We are planning a trip for Dec 2026 staying in 2 rooms at SF. Because Loews Hotels utilize dynamic pricing AND Universal tickets/APs are not "settled" for 2026, I am in a quandary. I am not sure if an APH rate or the SMSM rate will be the best combined with tickets for US/IOA/Epic for 7 days. Will Loews/Uni allow 2 concurrent reservations with the same names under different rate codes for the same hotel? Once ticket prices and benefits are out, I can compare and cancel one of the reservations but would love to have that option. Is it allowed?

Yes, you can do this.
I currently have different overlapping date combos at CBBR (& just added one for Stella Nova...). I don't think they cross reference to check for duplicates.

I re-book almost never, but I noticed that my AP rate for Dockside went down by a grand total of 12 dollars. Is the usual practice here to book the new, cheaper rate online and then cancel the original booking? Or is it better to just call them up and ask them to adjust it to the rate currently showing on the website? Normally I prefer to work online if possible, but wasn't sure how long it would take them to refund the original room deposit.

It depends on how you made the reservation. I generally log into my reservation and modify at the new rate. It can all be done online. They don’t refund you any money but they will apply the original deposit to your bill. I have done this several times without a problem.

Ah, very good, I will give that a try. I wasn't even aware that 'modify' was a thing. Still living in the past where this kind of stuff was always a huge pain.

As long as it's the same resort, you can modify. If the room/type is exactly the same, but just a better price, it doesn't give you the option (you can't "change" it to exactly the same thing) - but if you're below the max of people in the room, you can add a fake child and it'll then let you modify to the new rate. Then modify it back to the correct occupancy.

Thanks!

It was frustrating to not be able to modify (without knowing this hack) when the rate dropped multiple times on recent res
