*OFFICIAL* AP Watch thread for Jan/Feb UPDATE: THERE OUT 1/1 THRU 2/11

seriously! at least she was friendly though. I think i'll call back in the afternoon to see if anyone else knows anything. I found the 800 number but i didn't think one existed!!! works for me, no long distance calls:tongue:

I also am waiting to see if they will have any AP rates for February. I currently have reservations for Poly Lagoon view room with the Winter Dream Maker package. (Only getting my DH and DS UPH and will add myself on at check in) If they do have AP rates for my stay can I just apply the code to my current reservations or do I need to book another room first before canceling my current ressies.?

do you take the "make a new reservation" route through the voice mail or the "modify an existing reservation" route? Does it matter?

Always make a new reservation, then (and ONLY THEN) cancel the old one.

Grumpy37,
Can/will they then apply the deposit on my canceled ressie to my new one?

If you have a dreammaker package, they will probably have to book a new reservation for an AP rate and then cancel the dreammaker. They usually cannot transfer a deposit between a package and a room only. Last year I switched from a Disney Club room (which is considered a package) to an AP rate. They charged the new deposit on my card and then credited the old one.

I called last night and a CM told me probably not until the end of December. Here's keeping our fingers crossed!

End of December?!?!?!?!? I was hoping early November....
:earseek:
Oh well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for them to come out soon!

Called this morning at 7:05...no AP rates yet......she mentioned in the next 2 weeks that they would be coming out. At this point with all the different information that we get from the CM's, God is the only one that knows. Keep trying and good luck~!

End of December!!! I don't think my nerves can take it to wait that long! LOL! The next 2 weeks sound good to me, but the middle of Oct. sounded good to and that didn't happen for us. Only time will tell, but I wish they would do it soon. I am such a planner, I want to know exactly how much we are going to pay and were we are staying for sure!

ok i am new here so i am gonna ask this...what are ap rates?? i have a vacation planned for feb 2-8.....sorry if this is a dumb question

Hi Cyndibelle,
Welcome to the DIS. AP rates are discounted resort rates for people who have annual passes. Those of us going in January and February are keeping our fingers crossed that there will be annual passholder rates this year, and that they will announce the rates and dates soon. The savings can be substantial.:D

Thanks to all those who have been making calls and reporting here!:sunny:

Keeping my fingers crossed too.

Only one of us in the family has to have an Annual Pass to qualify for the AP rate..right?

Trying to figure out if the cost of one AP plus 4 other 6 Day Park Hoppers plus 7 nights at one of the deluxes with a premiere view will beat out the Swan Nurse's Rate, upgrade to Resort View with a balcony, plus 5 park hoppers. I think I'm still going to get the best deal with the nurse's rate at the Swan. Anyone else think so too?

10:15 am, no AP's :(

I have to leave for Missouri tonight..I better not miss them!!!!
I did put Disneys phone number into my cell phone directory so I can call every AM. How pathetic is that!!! LOL
