have ressies 2/27 -3/6 @ Dolphin with AAA rate. From what I'm reading, not sure if AP rate is going to beat AAA rate. So we'll see. Either way, I'm excited to be staying at the Dolphin!!!

Thats great Sweet Pea! I could not get the RN rate at the S?D for all my dates 2/5-2/10. So now I have CBR with a AAA rate of 118.00

We're taking my niece and nephew out of school for this trip, and I can't tell them which week until the rates come out and I see what I can get!!

Mousesavers always posts it right when they come out, I wouldn't waste a call unless you have a toll free number.

I would book something as a backup. I made the mistake of waiting for AP rates for Oct 1 to 6 and Boardwalk sold out for Oct 1 while I was waiting and I already had plane tickets booked. AP rates never did come out for Aug 24 to Oct 1 (available again Oct 2). We stayed at CBR with a AAA rate.

Come on AP rates! I would like to stay at AKL, for at least half of our trip. Right now we are at PC, which I am excited about too. But, dd really want AKL, and there is no way without a discount!

I am waiting too.. got a quote for All Star Sports for $129 per night???? For what a closet??? For $129/ night I can stay at the Dolphin....Come on AP Rates!!!!!!!

just to be sure-----when and if they do release the rates, it will be at the begining of the day right? i.e- 9:30? are we talking mid-day release? ahhhhhhhhhhh, help!!!!!

I called again this afternoon and was told they should be out very soon. So I guess that means sometime between now and xmas. We booked a room at PRO for middle of Jan. , we hope we can get an ap rate and maybe upgrade to a deluxe resort. Good luck to all of us.

When the AP rates come out for Jan/Feb, will the rates for all resorts that will offer them come out at the same time or will they be staggered? In other words, if I call and there are no AP rates available for POR but other AP rates are available for other resorts, am I to assume they will not offer AP rates for POR at all for Jan/Feb or will they perhaps come out with those AP rates later?

I'm watching the clock and plan to call as soon as they open.

Called at 7:10 this morning, no rates out yet, but she mentioned that she had been told that they would be out no later than the second week in Nov! Good luck everyone!

mgclick, my actual experience has been that after the initial AP room discounts are offered, some dates may open up later at some resorts that were said to have fully booked all their AP rooms. Two recent examples that I had were for early Feb. 2002, when I was told that the WL was fully booked and no rooms at all were available. I phoned CRO a couple of weeks before our trip and AP room only rates were offered for the previously fully booked WL for all nights of our trip. Earlier this year I could only get six nights out of 7 nights at the AP rate, I phoned back a few days later and all seven nights were offered at the AP rates.

Don't depend on AP room rates to always open-up later, but it does happen at times.

do you take the "make a new reservation" route through the voice mail or the "modify an existing reservation" route? Does it matter?

Also, our ressies are in "peak season" (02/20-02/25). Does WDW even offer AP rates during peak season?

Just called the 8oo number (1800-939-3732). It really does depend on the reservationist you get. The lady said that they hadn't told her anything! I asked if she knew time wise when they would announce them and she said it would be either early morning or after they close........What's my safest bet? should i check everymorning at 7 am, afternoon, or late evening? ahhhhhhhhhhhh! going a little cooo cooo

Call CRO 100 times you will get 100 answers,lol Someone once posted that they are told one day in advance and anything else is a guess. However it may be different this time around since it got so ugly with the last round of AP rates. They released them waayyyy late and totally bypassed Sept which made no sence since the crowds were so low.
