It looks as if everyone on here thinks that David C was the best last night. He's always been my #1 and I thought he was freakin' brilliant last night!

Michael J was wonderful also. Michael & David C were my favorites of the night.

I'm ready for Ramiele to go home. Kristy Lee can go right along with her. Buh-bye!

I thought last night was good.
Ramielle was as bad as I expected her to be with that song.
Jason... We enjoyed it, but it was not his best... and at least he didn't END with a doofy expression this time
Syesha is just so boring that it does not matter if she has a good voice, she needs to go away.
Chikeze: less boring than his other ballads, and it sounded good, but still on the dull side.
Carly: Hated the background singers... They reallly need to work on the volume they set them at. DH and I enjoyed her performance until the last crouching note.
Michael Johns: His best performance since hollywood! I hope he shows us next week that he can excell at something OTHER than Queen though.
David A. Song choice... What was he (or his daddy) thinking??
Brooke: DH and I just "like" her. Last night was not great, but we still enjoyed it.
Kristy Lee: Better than I thought it would be... She didn't put too much twang into it and over country-fy it. (think 8 days a week! )
David C: What can I say... he had me at "hello". (hee hee, what movie is that line from?) We didn't love him or hate him before that, but since then he has just been better and better.

as far as Idle chat goes... keep it up! Its funny, and it gives us something to do between shows!

I'm just passing this along FYI. Until last night, I had absolutely no idea that Chris Cornell existed so I suppose that this can only be seen as a boon for his musical career. David C. was far and away the best performance of the night. Although I actually thought that Jason gave his best performance since Hallelujah and I thought the judges were a bit harsh.

Carly was excellent UNTIL that final note. Not good when the last thing you remember is a sour note.

I can't believe that we will still be looking at KLC next week but that song choice most likely means she will still be here.

Ramiele MUST go, but sadly I think Chikieze's the one getting the boot. He's much more talented than she is but his song choice was boring last night.

And, I still like Syesha a lot. I love her voice and she's really got the whole package. She really needs a breakout performance and unfortunately I don't think the upcoming Dolly Parton week is going to provide it for her.

And, I'm sorry to Robin and all his other fans but I just don't think that Michael Johns is that talented. He's also not all that attractive to me. I realize that's a subjective call but I'm just putting it out there. If it were up to me, I'd send him home right after getting rid of Ramiele.

Ramielle boring, She did not do the song justice.
I give her a 2

Jason I really like him. I think he is just a quiet, shy kind of guy. He almost looks nervous when he is talking or being interviewed. I think the song he sung was OK. I do agree he needs to stand out a lot more or he is in danger of going
I give him a 5

Syesha Good. She nailed the high notes. I think her days are numbered though
I give her a 4

Chikezie I like him too. He seems like a nice guy but he seems kind of boring when he sings. I think that will do him in

Brooke I like her! She messed up in the beginning. I didn't think she nailed the song but she didn't butcher it either.

Michael Johns OH MY GAWD!!!!! WOW!!! He rocked the house. He picked the best song for him and he scored a homerun!!!!!!!! He looks like a star when he sings. I swear he channels Jim Morrison when he performs.
I love him. He will be safe tonight

Carly OK, I did not like the ending note. It didn't seem right to me. I don't think she will be in the bottom 3 though, although she could be.

David A Just OK, I do agree with Simon about a theme park singer.

Kristy Lee Call me a geek but I LOVE that song! I was worried she would butcher it but she really didn't. I totally agree with Simon in that it was a clever choice for her. Although I don't think she is a very good performer I don't think she will be going home tonight

David Cook Oh boy, I was very, very worried about him singing Billie Jean. I love Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. I never heard the verison David Cook did but I LOVED IT!!!!!! He rocked the house!

I don't know if Chris Cornell needs too much help - his previous bands have been wildly successful (Soundgarden & Audioslave). Interesting that his official website has the clip of David - seems Chris liked his version. I guess I would be pretty thrilled if someone on AI did a song in my style

Yay, I made it back to this thread finally I love the 4 hours a week I have all to myself Anyway, here are my thoughts (as if anyone cares LOL)

Ramiele: Go home Ramiele, please. She is just bad, and there is something about her that annoys the heck out me. I love Heart and I love that song and it was just too big of a song for her to sing. She needs to go.

Jason: Jason is getting really boring. He seems like a nice kid, but it is the same thing week after week. The judges kept telling Amanda how she was a one trick pony, but hello, what about Jason? I think he will stay though b/c the girls seem to love him.

Syesha: I fast forwarded through this performance b/c she is another one that just annoys me for no real reason and I was too tired to sit through it. Also, the baby cry throws me over the edge. There is something wrong with her

Chikezie: I didn't want to, but I fast forwarded through Chikezie also. I got home late and just wanted to go to bed so I will probably watch this later just to see how he did. I loved his video though, he is such a sweetheart.

Brooke: I really like Brooke. I think it was unfortunate that she messed up in the beginning, but I don't think it will affect her this week. She is my favorite of the girls. I felt bad for her when they told her she shouldn't bring in the band b/c a couple of weeks ago when she sang Pat Benetar, they told her that she SHOULD have brought in the band. These poor contestants can't win with all of the contradicting advice they get.

Michael: LOVED Michael tonight. So glad that he finally came back b/c I don't think he was going to get much further on his looks alone, but he really did great tonight and I was happy to see it.

Carly: I love this song and I really like Carly, but I think she had trouble singing it. I don't think it was great, but I think she will stick around, though who knows b/c she was in the bottom 3 last week. Tough one to call. Loved her baby pictures. My little one has this huge head of curly hair and I love it (she doesn't take after me).

David A: Ya know, I think he has a good voice and he does seem like a sweet kid, but there is way too much hype surrounding him. I don't get all the screaming from the girls. He is such a little boy and he looks about 12, but I don't dislike him. I can take him or leave him. Does nothing for me either way.

Kristy Lee: Definitely the time I thank God for my DVR. I fast forwarded through her and I hope she goes. Too bad they can't send her and Ramiele packing at the same time. I will put up with Ramiele for one more week if Kristy can go. Granted, I didn't actually hear the song, but I don't think I need to. She annoys me the most out of all of them.

David Cook: Yeah, I just fall more in love with this guy every week He makes great choices and his voice sounds AMAZING. I can't say enough good things. I love him, I want him, I have to have him Seriously, he is awesome and I can't wait until he does his own album and own tour. That being said, I hope he doesn't win and you all know why. Also, loved how he made fun of his own baby pictures. He did have a huge head, but he really was a cute little boy (once he was past the baby stage), and he has grown into a fine looking man Added bonus that he is extremely talented. He is the entire package.

It would be interesting to know just how typical those of us on this thread are compared to the rest of the people who watch this show. There is no one I have read who actively DOESN'T like DC. A couple don't love him, but almost all of us at least acknowledge that he is unbelievably talented. In previous years have you ever seen anything like this? It seems nearly unanimous.

I find myself wondering just WHERE they hang out during the week. I live so close it just kills me!

Hi! New here. Just thought I would post my thoughts on last nights show.

Ramiele- I *really* wanted to like her performace. Really, truly did, but last night, I kept comparing her to Carrie's performance and she couldn't even be near it. I think she's on her last leg, and losing speed fast.

Jason- I like him at first but the last two weeks he just hasn't impressed me.

Syesha- Good job but I don't think she'll make it very far. Her performances are foregettable.

Chikezie- Good but not consistent. I think he will be bottom 3 this week.

Brooke- I *heart* Brooke. She did mess up in the beginning but I've got her pegged for the final four.

Michael Johns- Rocks my socks, last night, IMNSHO, guaranteed him a final 2 spot. He will have a wonderful career. I almost hope he doesn't win the title though so he's not so restricted.

Carly- Haven't been a real big Carly fan until last night. Then she sang her last note and I think I heard my dog howl with her. I still think she will be final four but not win.

David A- Cutesy "chicken little" type, good singer, but I'm growing tired of the "aww garsh" attitude. Plus his dad skeeves me out.

Kristy Lee Cook- Ugh, just ugh. Need I say more? Ready for her to be gone but unfortunately I don't think she will leave this week, she actually (and it pains me to say this) did good last night.

David Cook- his song choice. Along with Micheal Johns he also rocks my socks. Sentimental favorite after hearing the story behind the initals on his guitar.

Q100, she was on last Friday to talk about the show, mumbled her way through the interview then asked if they would like her to call weekly on Thursday morning to talk about the show. She also sent them a pair of tickets to Idol Gives Back, which they are giving away. Supposedly she is going to personally give the winners a backstage tour.
