I thought last night was awesome! It was one of the most entertaining nights they've had in a while!
Ramiele: It started off strong and I thought she'd finally do well, but then it all just fell flat. The girl has a GREAT voice but she doesn't know how to use it. She was behind on the timing and just couldn't keep up with it all. She'll be gone soon.
Jason:

I LOVED Jason in the beginning but he's really falling flat. I loved when he sang "Daydream" that first week of the semifinals but since then he's gotten worse each week. Hallelujah was a definite hit but since then he's gone downhill. I think he's an awesome guy and his expressions and interviews crack me up but he just isn't going anywhere. He has a huge fan base so I don't think he's going anywhere soon, and I really don't want him to, but he needs to step it up!
Syesha: I thought she sounded great last night! That being said, when she started I thought "Wow, she sounds great!" and then I spaced out for the next minute and a half

It was still old fashioned and boring. I like her as a person, and always thought she was older than 21!, but she just doesn't capture my attention.
Chikezie: Boring, boring, boring. This was another performance that I spaced out during. It was RIDICULOUSLY old-fashioned, stuffy and just nothing special. I don't like Luther Vandross, though, so it could have just been the song choice, but he lost some of the momentum that he had built up the past two weeks.
Brooke: I love Brooke! She's the cutest thing

I really love her voice. She has the most heartfelt voice I've heard in a long time. I was a little

when she started to sing and then started over just because you never get away with something like that on this show. True performers do it if they need to, though. It's better than singing the entire song in the wrong key!

Either way, she did great but I did like the piano-only first half of the song much better than the second half. She's still my favorite girl.
Michael: I LOVE Michael Johns! He has the stage presence of a star and his voice is AWESOME. I have a lot of his pre-Idol music and I listen to it all the time. He sounds amazing in the studio and I just really love his voice. I did think the performance started off a little shaky and he had some off notes but he really picked it up. I love him!
Carly: I didn't think it was that bad

I can't stand the girl but I actually thought she did pretty well, so I was surprised when the judges gave her a hard time. I still think she's one of the "chosen ones" and the criticism was just to get people voting... and to offset the fact that they praise her regardless of what she does and the judges put down the other contestants by mentioning her
David A:

Hence my "cheesetastic" comment from yesterday afternoon! I've never even heard of that song but just from the title I knew it would be a doozy. I looked up the lyrics last night before the show and knew that it was going to be... well... cheesetastic! But let me tell you, I was not at all prepared for that level of cheesiness!

That kid's got a different platform each week... if he's not singing for the homeless he's singing for world peace

It's just all WAY too much... he's like a pageant contestant! He has a decent voice but he hit a few off notes last night, and his "dancing" is just hilarious! The way he sways back and forth as he licks his lips and wheezes cracks me up!

Oh man, good times...
Kristy Lee: That was DEFINITELY a brilliant song choice for the girl. She's been trying to play the "down-home, All-American country girl" from the beginning so now she just went all out

I HATE that song and think it's ridiculously cheesy. I was obsessed with Idol during season 2 and saw the concert both times they were in the area, and they did a whole big tribute to this song and it was HORRIBLE. They recorded this song as a group charity single that same season and it was just cheesy, cheesy, cheesy. Anyway, I've got to give Kristy props cause she sounded pretty good. I'd never in a million year actually listen to her or that song on a normal basis, but she sounded better than she has. It's still her time to go.
David Cook:

Seriously, he's AMAZING! And you all need to back off because I was the only one on here in the beginning of the season who loved him. Seriously, go back and read my posts in the first American Idol thread

I loved him from his audition, really loved him during Hollywood week, and looked forward to seeing him every week during the semi-finals. Then he has a few awesome weeks and everyone jumps on the bandwagon!

He's amazing at everything he does and he's going FAR. As much as I still don't think he should win for his own sake, I have a feeling he's the true dark horse to win and surprise both the entire teenybopper population across America AND all the cynics who felt that Carly was set to win from the beginning. And maybe it wouldn't be so bad since the winner goes on the Today Show and my dad works at NBC so I wouldn't mind hanging out with him backstage for a while...

Go David!
I can't wait for the show tonight! This is the best season of the show ever. It really is. David and Michael are AMAZING and have more stage presence than everyone on all of the past seasons combined. They're all pretty good and do have strong voices so it's going to be interesting to see how everything plays out!
