Unfortunately I think Janay is going to be another Carmen. She's a 17 year old high school girl and she probably has all her friends from her school and all the other schools around her voting for her. There's also the people that feel sorry for her because she looks like she's in pain when she's singing. I'm afraid she might actually make it to the top 12, and even worse, make it pretty far. I really hope not, I hope she's gone next week. I really almost feel embarassed for her when she's singing.

I SOO agree with this!

Janay should've been gone and the judges came about a second from saying so, I think. The guys were NO surprise. I think it's coming down to the fan base now. There are people that fans will vote for if they come out singing Mary Had a Little Lamb...

Next week I think Janay and Lindsay should leave for the girls, not sure about the guys, I like ALL of the ones left!! :teeth:

I agree with you! Maybe she has alot of relatives. :teeth:

ROFL! You took the words right out of my mouth. I cannot believe she didn't go. Just watching the little 10 second blurb they did last night I kept thinking has someone off camera got a gun trained on her? :scared1: She looked absolutely terrified. She might have a good voice but she's just so down right scared while she's on stage, it's affecting her voice.

Celena, she was one of the ones I had picked as being gone. Poor Aloha! I always try and think back to prior performances. This week wasn't very good but last week she was in my top 3.

The guys weren't much of a surprise, especially David who I thought should have been gone weeks ago. I think overall Joe has a better voice than Travis but Travis gave a better performance this week.

My guess for those who will exit next week are Travis and Mario for the guys and Lindsey, Vonzell or Janay for the girls. But who knows? If any of them pull a great performance out of their hats, all bets are off. :teeth:

Roberta

Aloha sould still be in the competition. Goes to show, one bad week and BAM you're gone-unless of course you are Janay!!!

I am a Travis fan. I don't think he will win but I do hope he is one of the 12. Those are coveted spots. They get the album "gig" (I sound so music producer like!!) It will help his career and all the others. There will be a nasty fight next week!! Can't wait!!

DS was thrilled to see David go last night....couldn't quite understand why the elation.... :confused3 ..... He then told me David freaked him out a bit....because he reminded him of that "alien that chases Arnold around in the jungle"..... :scratchin

Upon further reflection - David's *do* does bear a stricking resemblance to that of "Predator"'s when he takes that helmet off....

Speaking of Carmen, I posted on the CB the other day about my son going on stage with Carmen (pics). Here's a link if anyone is interested in seeing them: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=751185

I also wish we could vote for the people we think should be eliminated. When there are so many good ones its hard to spread your votes around.

I can NOT believe that Celena had the least number of votes...Over Janay??? Celena was very good and did not deserve to go. I also can't believe Janay is still there! She is terrible, and should have been gone last week. I know people won't agree with this, but she's like another Diana Digarmo who was also terrible and somehow made it to the end.

Well, last night's elimination show was not as "cruel" as last week, but it was still weird.

Why can't they just go back and do the elimination the same way they did on the previous 3 season's? Why do producer's always assume we viewer's need a change?

Does anyone know when it get's down to the final 12, if they will keep the men and woman seperated? I hope NOT!

Also, with the elimination of 2 guys and 2 girls last night, we are down to 8 on each side. I thought when they got down to 6 on each side we have the final 12? Well, in next week's TV guide, the write up for Wednesday's elimination show (which is an hour long, BTW) it says they lose 4 guys and 4 girls. Maybe the judges are going to have the "wildcard" and bring some people back?

I think the half hour show was only because of timing at the network, I bet they will go back to doing it the way they did last week....drag it out and then make them sing.

I was dumbfounded that she was the least amount of votes. I think the voting had a lot to do with the comments the judges made.

I agree with whoever said Janay is this season's Carmen. I was neutral about the girls who left, I wasn't crazy about either one but think both were better than Janay. Both guys were great singers and I felt so bad for both of them, especially David, who looked crushed.

I'm glad that the letdown this week was better than it was last week. I just have to ask, WTH was Simon eating when he was giving feedback? Was that gum, or tobacco, or what? Ick. He skeeves me anyway, and to have him talking with whatever that was in his mouth was skeeving me even more than usual.

That was pretty disgusting. I hope he watches himself and grosses himself out! It really was too bad that David didn't make a better impression. He is such a nice kid and it was sad to see him go.

I was sorry to see David leave but figured that he would be one of them to go. He didn't pick any songs that really showcased his voice. Too bad that the judges didn't have time to give their thoughts on the guys. I missed the first girl to leave and didn't get to see Simon with his mouth full. What did the judges say about her?

I like Janay's voice but feel that Simon is right about her. Her voice needs to mature a little. I was surprised to see her staying last night.

Does anyone else think that there is a flaw in the whole voting system, considering the fact that you can vote as many times as you like?

Obviously, this is JMO, but I think you should be able to onlyh vote ONCE from a phone. I think this would give truer results.

It seems that in so many instances people must be voting over & over again. Look at the case with John Stevens last year (he is from my area, but I still thought he made it too far) - I am sure that all his high school friends continually voted until those phone lines were closed.

Again, I think there would be truer results if the voting system was changed a little. :flower:

Thats my biggest problem with this show, and precisely the reason why I don't vote.

I was really suprised about Aloha! I didn't think that she did all that bad. Celena wasn't all that bad either.

I wasn't really sure about who is that bad, on either side. It's kind of early yet, but it does look like some already have a lot of followers. :cool1:

I guess it would be unfair if only some people were allowed to vote over and over. But since everyone has access to the same voting system, it is still fair. I would like the one vote per person thing though. It would give a truer picture.

I definitely agree with this. I also think that it would make more sense to vote for the person you want to see go instead of your favorite. But I do understand the reason they have you vote for your fave is so it won't seem so harsh to the person voted off. At least that way they can find solace in the fact that they got the least amount of votes...not that they were voted for as the person everyone wanted to see leave. I still think that would be a better way to go, even if it does seem harsh.
