Fun story, in my panic stricken rush to refresh, refresh, refresh............I ended up booking the post-5k breakfast! There is 0 information about the menu on the rundisney site other than photos of bananas. I am also unable to find it with a google search. Can anyone provide any info/pictures/etc? I'd appreciate it!

Whew...it finally feels official, I now have my confirmation! It took me 1 hr and 20 minutes to register for both of my events. LOL...that was the most stressful time in recent memory! I wonder how many phones, tablets, and computers were about to be thrown out a window. Apparently from what I understand another huge race registration was opened at the same time which basically through ACTIVE in a tail spin! Really, companies are paying for your service and you don't think something like that through. UGH, but I am sitting happy tonight dreaming of ADRs and stressing about SW flights while celebrating with a cupcake!

Plus we're going on the Disney Cruise in January.

Although we aren't participating in The WDW marathon weekend we are booked for the cruise afterwards, if that's the one you're going on!

The Fiancee and one of her best friends were excited to do the 10K race together.

My fiancee is a night shift nurse and her friend obviously works during the day. They obviously had no idea that the 10K would be sold out that quick. At lunch I browsed out of curiosity and saw it was 90% sold out and registered my fiancee and sent a text to her friend.

By the time her friend was able to get online she could not get Active.com to work right and it was sold out.

So now my fiancee is in and her friend is out.

Is it possible for her friend to find a bib someone may be needing to give up because they can't do the race? How should she go about doing this?

If that is not an option, is it possible for my fiancee to sell her bib (obviously at the same cost she paid)? How would she go about doing that?

I think you need to contact RunDisney and explain the situation and what happened. Disney has made it almost impossible now to "sell" a bib unless you are local.

You maybe able to purchase a bib through a travel agency or running for a charity. also there are rumors that many people were double registered...so once that mess is straightened out, new bibs will be available.

My sister and I are registered for the 5k. We had initially intended to register for the 10K but are just not ready for that yet So excited. This will be our first race!!!

Have they released the resorts yet that are going to provide transportation? I really wanted to stay at Boardwalk or Beach Club but when I ran in 2012 I know that wasn't a choice for transportation.

ALL WDW resorts will be host resorts for the Princess, since it's such a large race.

Contact a travel provider. I used Acclaim travel last year to register. Jim is awesome. He does not (or at least didn't last year) require you to book a room. They are listed as an official travel provider on rundisney

1. All Disney resorts are host resorts but there are no rundisney discounts. It looks like with the races one weekend and presidents day the weekend prior...there may also not be a general discount?

2. The 5k may be frozen themed, and since we weren't asked to give our favorite princess during registration, its looking more likely? Or is that for the half? This is my first PHM so I have no idea what they did in years past!

1. I doubt there will be any discounts. If there are, I believe most people got a better rate through WDW than with rundisney.

2. I did the 1/2 last year and we could pick our princess for our bib, however the over all color scheme was Blue for Cinderella. I do know the 1/2 medals are a different color every year. Don't know if they will be blue again though, because Frozens main color is blue. Unless they go with a coronation color scheme for Ana and Elsa. Who knows at this point! LOL

1. I don't know but I do know there is team info on the rundisney site.

2. Hotels are personal preference. AKL is beautiful and peaceful, single bus with no other stops, but really far out there. Epcot resorts are great, if you have a park ticket you can walk back to the room from the finish line, but the buses stop at all of the epcot resorts (this can be time consuming). Monorail resorts should have monorail access to the start.
Note: If you stay off site at Bonnet Creek, they would not let you walk on the road to get to the start last year. They really tightened that down.

3. I don't think they have discounted tickets, I would love it if they did though!

Registered my granddaughter twice because I got kicked off the computer at a crucial time--we were having storms in NJ-- and I never got a confirmation email. Never got a confirmation emails for the SECOND registration, either, although they're both listed on the registration site. Now trying to get a refund from RunDisney on one of them. This shouldn't be that difficult!

email support on the rundisney site. I know a lot of people have had to do that in the past.

Since DH flies for SWA I asked if he had any info on schedule release ....and the answer was probably early August. Could be end of July so keep calling the reservation number or checking on-line a couple times a day.

Always a good idea to take an earlier flight if at all possible...flight delays just snowball during the day. I do remember in 2012 DH got rerouted out of the NE due to a snow storm that year.

I am aiming for. 2016 return to PHM !

Thanks for the info!!!!! I hope to be on a super early flight Thursday so I can get to the expo. I might be able to swing late Wed but that's going to depend on DH. I wonder if I should aim for Wednesday.

Ok I'm panicking! I signed up for the Half yesterday and received confirmation from Active.com. This morning I went on the active.com website and clicked on "My Events" and it says that I have nothing there! Nothing in my order history either!

Anyone else have this issue?

Give it a few days. I don't think mine from last year ever showed up. But you can always email active with your confirmation number to confirm.

My wife received a Payment Confirmation and a Registration Confirmation email. The Registration had a link to Disney(Active) registration details. If you have that I wouldn't be worried. If you didn't receive those emails, I would be a little worried.

Give it a few days. I don't think mine from last year ever showed up. But you can always email active with your confirmation number to confirm.

And check your junk/spam filters. who knows what might be in there that the Bayes filter says "oooh this is junk."

Has anyone stayed at AKL on race weekends?

I did, at Kidani, in 2013. It was great! There's really no telling what will happen with buses, as each year at least one resort has issues, but I didn't have any problems at AKL/AKV.

2. Any advice on hotel selection?

I can't help with the other questions, but all WDW resorts are host resorts, so it's really just a matter of what fits your budget and which theme makes you happy! I stayed at CSR in 2012, AKV 2013 and CBR this year... all were good.

NONE of my rD registrations have ever showed up under my Active profile. We're talking years of races, here. If you've got the confirmation email, you're good; don't worry about Active' wacky system.
