I encourage all of you to email rundisney and Active about the horrible experience and hopefully they will fix/update the sites so that all will go more smoothly.

If my son hadn't asked if we could run together and dress up, then I would probably not have run this year. It was so much fun the first three years, but the last 3 have had so many people and just not as friendly. More like herding cattle than the fun time running and seeing characters with little wait time. But when my 21 year son want to go to Disney with his mother and run a half marathon perhaps the stress of registration is a small annoyance.

Sorry to those that missed the GSC. I did the 5k and GSC last year and knew that I wasn't going to do it again, glad to have had the experience. The 10k was a good track with some fun things to see.

I usually stay at the Swan and Dolphin. Lots of hotels on the bus route but I love being able to walk through Epcot to get back to the room.

We were in animal kingdom when registration opened, and I totally forgot. I was shocked to see it 75% full when I logged on at 2. But, I'm registered! I can't wait!

Yep, errors abound over here too, me and my sister keep texting back and forth and neither having any luck!

Okay, we got registered in just under and hour. Phew, that was stressful. The past week has already been a stressful one, so while this was supposed to be exciting, it was actually nerve wracking! But now we're in and the real fun starts... the running! no wait, the planning!!!

SW keeps pushing back the February release. First time I checked it was 7/19, then it was 7/28. Last night I checked again and now it's at 8/4. Last year my afternoon flight from PVD was cancelled due to snow so this year I want to get an earlier one for a little weather wiggle room. I went from leaving Saturday to Wednesday due to the blizzard and the school vacation sold out flights. Don't want to repeat that this year!

I did it! I actually registered for my first Half-marathon EVER! I'm beyond excited (and even more nervous) because this has been on my bucket list for a very long time.

Planning bug over here...and I'm waiting to see flight schedules to determine if we will go the week before or after! I'm overwhelmed with planning, and I'm not even over the stress of registering yet!

I'm aiming for Thursday to Sunday.

Haven't read all the posts yet, but just wanted to say hello and say that I just registered for the half! It will be my first half marathon and I'm so excited!

DH and DS will be staying at home so it'll just be me and my dad flying in (my dad doesn't run). Any running groups out there?

I tried downloading the Jeff Galloway princess marathon training calendar but it's outdated (2013-2014).

Does anyone know when they'll be updating the calendar?

Are people receiving confirmation emails from Active.com yet?

I received one, but one of my friends did not (although she has a pending charge on her credit card and she also has the confirmation page from the end of the registration process). I think the confirmation email for my last runDisney race didn't show up for about 24 hours, but I don't remember.

I got my confirmation and receipt.
I got DD#1's receipt.
Waiting on DD#2's receipt and both confirmations.

Active has taken my money x 3, however!

Oh, bummer! I even put the 7/28 date on my calendar so I would be sure to check that day for flight prices....and I'm hoping the DisneyWorld site opens up 2015 soon - I like to book online so I can check out all my different options...

Congrats to everyone that registered today - sounds like a rough experience though! I'm now glad I chose to do the early registration. Was anyone able to get a Disney Visa discount, or were those discontinued this year??

Congratulations on your weight loss (and on signing up, too)! What an accomplishment!

I don't thinking registering as a team would be silly at all. If it inspires you, go for it and don't look back. Most of all, have a great time together.

I unfortunately am traveling with my high school senior cousin who has days off the week prior for president's day. So it makes it a lot easier for her to miss school, while also making it more difficult for me to run 13 miles! I may try to convince her otherwise, but, well, not looking good.

So now that I have read through almost all of this post (whew!) this is what I have come up with...

1. All Disney resorts are host resorts but there are no rundisney discounts. It looks like with the races one weekend and presidents day the weekend prior...there may also not be a general discount?

2. The 5k may be frozen themed, and since we weren't asked to give our favorite princess during registration, its looking more likely? Or is that for the half? This is my first PHM so I have no idea what they did in years past!

3. We may all be crazy In a good way, of course!
