Official 2021 "Disney After Hours Boo Bash" Thread

Yep, when I was there right before the first MNSSHP in 2019 they decorated mid trip. I was there one night for fireworks with no decorations, came back the next morning (I think it was one of those early morning events, but I’m getting old and can’t remember, but it was early lol) and *BOOM* it was Halloween

I don’t think the Halloween decorations will be as much this year since they will have to put up 50th Anniversary decorations.

I apologize if this has been answered previously but does anyone know if any of the sit down restaurants will be open and if so, which ones?

You're right, Disney needs to coat the entire Main Street area in Big celebration banners, but they also understand that we all missed Halloween in 2020, not just at Disney, but everywhere the fun, games and trick-or-treating were reduced or restricted. Halloween will have a presence for sure. I have faith that both the 50th and the holidays can occur at the same time and neither be done up at a lesser level.

Who is wearing a costume to this party? It will be my first time at a Halloween-themed Disney party and I'm thinking that I would like to dress up, but not anything over the top because my husband does not want to wear a costume. Maybe I'll do a cosplay type outfit. I'd love to hear your ideas or even better, see what you've worn in the past.

There is a thread specifically titled boo bash costumes under the theme parks and strategies category. Idk how to link it or I would.

Yes, you have to call, but as long as the date you want to change to isn't sold out you can change.
If the new date is less expensive than the original date, I assume they will not refund or credit the difference? Anyone know if you need to cancel completely, what will they let you apply the funds to? Someone up-thread said they were told they could apply to a future event, but there are not any as of this point!!

I was able to change my dates and the difference ($20) was refunded to my credit card. :)

Looks like our date (9/14) has sold out now also. Dang. Surprised a Tuesday night sold out before a Friday night (9/10).

So far, we don't know if Disney has increased capacity because days that were sold out, showed up again as available. The optimists think that it's because people changed their ticket dates and the pessimists think it's because Disney raised capacity.... no one really knows since Disney never announced.

You can buy your tickets on the website now, if you haven't already bought it. Tickets are changeable to other dates if they are still available but that requires a phone call.

Also… you missed people redialing Disney thousands of times trying to get through the jammed phone lines when tickets first went on sale and those that did get through spent 3 days in the phone queue waiting for a CM.

I will answer my own question since I have now been through this. I called and pressed all the appropriate options to say I had tickets that I wanted to change. Waited on hold for greater than 60 minutes. CM finally answered and said she could not change the dates on Boo Bash tickets, only Ticketing can do that. Interesting that when you press all of the options to change your tickets, you don't actually reach Ticketing. She had to fill out an online form on my behalf for Ticketing because she said they had a current hold time of 142 minutes. They would not let her put me on hold, just put in this form and have them call me back "in about 142 minutes". About 2 hours later, I got the call back, but then the line went silent and no one picked up. On hold in silence for about 15-20 minutes, and finally Ticketing CM picked up. Said I could change the dates if the date I wanted was still open (it was). Said I would get a refund of the price difference since I was moving from an October date that was $159 to a September date that was $129. I could see the date update in the app right away for the Boo Bash. He said my hard tickets which I had mailed from my original purchase of the October dates would still work for the new dates. Painful process but glad it is done. Hopefully someone picked up our October tickets since it was a sold out date.
