YUP! Food quality was poor when we did it. Tasted like what it was, I guess: mass-produced. Too salty, not seasoned enough, not cooked properly... it was a mess. Won’t ever do that again unless there’s a major overhaul.Everything I have read though is that BOG dinner is very expensive, the food quality varies from night to night and it really feels like a cafeteria setting.
For us, it’s more than it not having been worth the price. Slash the price and I still wouldn’t do it again. Would much prefer liberty tree — simple and consistent.
If it were me picking btwn BOG and the new Tony’s offering, I’d chance the latter. You can come and go, expectations for food won’t be so high, and you get reserved parade viewing. That said, my experience last year was that viewing the 2nd parade was easy without much of a wait at all. This year, we’ll do the dessert party for fireworks viewing and catch the late parade without a reserved spot.
