Other than GF which resort displays do people recommend checking out. I’m heading to Wilderness Lodge for the new Artist Point dining and saved a spot for GF in my schedule. I should have time to catch one or two more.

The gingerbread house at GF, the display on the 4th floor of the Contemporary, the Christmas trees at the Wilderness Lodge and AKL, and the Gingerbread carousel at Beach Club. We love spending a few hours resort hopping to check out the beautiful decorations. Don't forget the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs too!

I love taking the boat over from WL to Fort Wilderness and taking a carriage ride from near the store there.
And, if you love getting a laugh many campsites will put out a show of inflatables and lights. I have to be in the mood for it as some really are tacky, but great laughs.

I really enjoyed the tree trail at DS last year! We went at night and they were all lit up and it was snowing. There was also PhotoPass there, and the cast member was great!
I loved the GF gingerbread house so much! I saw it on travel channel when I was younger and was finally able to visit last November on the first or second day - we barely made it! (The $9 chocolate gingerbread shingle was my favorite out of the Mickey and the shingles we tried.)
I didn’t get to see the beach club carousel but I would love to this year! Does anyone know when dates are announced? Last year I had to stalk the Instagram tags to see if they were up yet but we missed it.
I also liked seeing the one at the contemporary. We went to the Poly early on in our trip and didn’t see any decorations. ASSp has a few decorations up in their gift shop but not much else by the time we left on Nov 14.
I might hop to EPCOT on one of our last days to see the holiday decorations there.
I’m going mid November this year and am really hoping to see GF, BC, and hoping AoA has something up!

The Yacht Club does an xmas themed model railroad. It's really cool

I love Christmas at Disney, and I love the GF Gingerbread House. Other resorts have displays too. Hoping themes and locations will be released soon.
I was planning to visit Yacht and Beach club and Boardwalk too if they do something. Also want to go see Wilderness lodge as people talk a lot about it.

My party isnt until Dec.... so I will most likely book the Tonys party.. and if it gets negative reviews cancel it.. but its just me and my DH since my son is free.... still a $400 night tho.. yikes.. when you think about it like that... that on top of doing EMM @ HS, and the frozen party at Epcot ... good thing DH doesnt ask how much this stuff costs!!

We are doing the jingle bell jingle bam dessert party and Star Wars the Void at Disney Springs, and you gave me a great idea to just book Tony’s party and cancel it if it seems like it doesn’t live up to what I thought it would be. Our party is Dec 11 so still plenty of time. Also, you hit the nail on the head with your husband comment! Mine has no idea what ANYTHING costs for Disney. He leaves the plans in my hands and pays the credit card bill when it comes in the mail.

The Void is a Virtual Reality experience at Disney Springs. They have a Star Wars version right now that is really popular, and they are getting ready to also release a Wreck It Ralph VR Experience. Both options will be offered once the Wreck It Ralph experience is ready.

Awesome!!! Thank you!!

Please try to check it out! I have heard it is pretty awesome. I was there in July and a lady told me she hates video games and she also doesn’t like Star Wars, but she would do the Void again in a heartbeat. This is my hubbys treat for fighting the crowds just to please me and our DD for Christmas. On a side note, anyone know when the Wreak it Ralph experience is coming? My DD loves that movie and is very excited for the 2nd movie on Thanksgiving.

The Wreck It Ralph experience is expected to come out around the time of the movie release, but tickets aren't available yet. I would check the News thread in the Disney Rumor and News forum for updates on when tickets go on sale.

You can check out the 2017 thread for last year’s dates and locations/themes to give you an idea. Once announced, I post, then add to page 1.

Boardwalk has had lots of small individually themed gingerbread homes. I couldn't find my picture from last year, but this was 2016.

There are also PhotoPass photographers at the resorts with very large trees (GF, WL, AKL). I've gotten some really nice photos with the trees.

I am attending MVMCP with my family in December. The date we are going a few weeks ago was sold out. When I was looking at the December calendar today I noticed all the party dates have now become available. Why is this?

Hi everyone! We were planning to skip MVMCP because my mom is recovering from some knee problems & she just cannot be "up" that long. (There is no way she will use a wheelchair or ECV, even though this is a temporary situation. Not my mother! Not happening.) Now, with the new Tony's party, there is a chance she could do it if she only needs to stand at the flagpole for about an hour or so. We were able to reserve a place at Tomorrowland Terrace for the fireworks but haven't purchased party tickets yet. Do we know if the Tony's party will offer seating? I trust the info here much more than I trust asking a phone CM at booking tomorrow :)

Can someone please explain the parade viewing to me. I have never been one to sit and watch a parade at Disney, just not my thing. But the one parade that I have always thought I would do this for is the one for Christmas, at the party I suppose. Now I have never been to a holiday party but had always considered doing a MVMCP at some point. But will people be able to get to see the parade well if they do not purchase the Tony ticket now?

What about the 2nd parade of the night, better chance? I am not going to purchase a Tonys ticket at hard ticket event, so this is out of the question. But if there is no chance of getting to see the parade at a decent view point without purchasing the Tony ticket, I will just never consider purchasing a ticket to the MVMCP.
