"Official" 2018 Disney After Hours (DAH) Thread (Now Closed, see New 2019 Thread)

My mom, daughter, and I will be attending the 1/19 DAH. We have a very short trip planned and this will probably be our only MK day to ride the rides. I am hoping we can get in around 4:00 since we will not be using a regular park ticket that day. I have been wanting to attend DAH since the first ones started and ths is my first trip which coinsided with one.

My mom's favorite rides are PoTC and HM. I have seen others saying that HM takes up too much time to ride during DAH. With so few people attending DAH is it really a bad idea to ride HM then? Thanks.

If youre able to get in at 4, you could just ride hm before dah starts.

It is NEVER a bad idea to ride HM.

We dd HM last year later in the evening and didn't feel it took up too much time. The queue was deserted so we walked right in and it was just me, my 2 daughters and 3 more people. It was actually a cool experience. I remember reading that some attendees were literally the only people inside...that would be so awesome!

One of the things we are looking forward to most is being in the HM all alone. I think it will add to the creepiness of it.

Today is the day for FP reservations for the 2/15 party. My daughter has decided she wants to meet princesses so I have booked that starting during the 4pm window, assuming we get in right at 4 and head to Fantasyland.... would rather spend our open-park time doing this and use the party for rides-rides-rides. Anyone know what rides are CLOSED during the party or can point me in the direction of where I can find that out?

One of the things we are looking forward to most is being in the HM all alone. I think it will add to the creepiness of it.

Just walking through the queue completely by ourselves with absolutely no one around was creepy enough for me!! LOL

Yea I did see that, it looks like all the big- hitters and faves that we love are open, so there's nothing I feel like we should FP while the park is still "open"... I'm really looking forward to enjoying the walk-on and nearly walk-on atmosphere. I've done 2 Halloween parties- one on each coast- and they are a dream, in my opinion and worth every penny. If these parties are anything like the rave reviews I have read, than it's going to be the highlight of our whole trip (even though this is technically a Pandora and Harry Potter -focused vacation!)... so excited!

What, no People Mover?! And I can't cancel and get a refund . . . guess I will just have to use a FP . . .

Thank you for this little list! We have FP to meet Ariel and actually- People Mover, Carousel, and the Railroad are standing traditions for us so we will make it a point to be sure to use these before they close for the night!

Hi! New here, but so happy to have found this thread. We're going to DAH on 1/26. I've reserved some fast passes for the 5-7 o'clock range in case we get in early, but am having a last minute freak-out. We have one day tickets for the next day at Animal Kingdom. Using the 1/26 fast passes won't mess up my 1/27 fast passes at AK even if we only have the one day ticket, right? I feel like it should be fine, but just want to make sure. Thanks!

Were you able to get FP for both? If so, I wouldn't be worried. We were able to get FP's for our DAH night and our other two park days.
