I hope our first DAH isn't crowded - that would be a total waste of money if you're spending any time at all in lines (and by time, I mean, more than a few minutes here and there).

I do hope Disney has the attendance numbers down for this year, and know how many tickets they can potentially sell and still give guests a good experience. I'm kind of hoping I might get a chance to take an empty photo or two, but I'm not going to count on it. They've probably learned from underselling DAH before.

@GADisneyDad14 thank you for the suggestion about the ADR. I was thinking that the later ADR would be fine since the DAH ticket was a late choice and I wasn't going to mess with it, but I was able to go in and change it to an earlier time so that it won't overlap with the event time at all, and should be great.

We'll be doing the 1/19 DAH. So close now!!! It seems ok to assume we can get in by 7pm, but possibly not earlier. I guess we'll plan to be there a little early, but I'm afraid to show up at 4 and be turned away for three hours.

I have a bog adr at 4:15 so if they don’t let us in I’ll be pretty upset. Had to stay up until 3am to get it.

I wanted to an ADR too but was hesitant. I'm guessing we won't get a definite by Disney in advance but if they let guests in at 4 last year, it's a fair assumption for this year right?

I won’t assume anything because I know when I do that I end up being wrong. I’m just waiting until the 1/19 group goes to see how early they are let in and crossing my fingers that it’s at 4.

Although I won't be able to verify it, I will be checking when I enter.

Since I have an AP, I can't be 100% sure.

Same here- we have AP's but are going with people that only have the After hours ticket. I guess we'll take a chance on the arrival time.

Hi, my dd 18 and myself will be attending the 2/15 DAH event, we did it last February and loved it! I added an extra night to our trip so we could do this again. I hope it is warmer than last year, it was a cool night! We found it really worth the AP price.

I see from your trip report at the time, you did 2/16 in 2017, right? I was there that night too. Brrrrrrr!!!!! :cold::cold::cold:

Hope y’all have a great time this year.

Temperature is relative! It's about 20ºF here right now, so it will be balmy to me.

Hey all! I will be there 2/15. HOW should I plan to dress? I was thinking a tee + spirit jersey + leggings or jeans w/sneakers. Do I need a jacket or sweatshirt? We plan on entering right as soon as possible so layers are a must, I'm just unsure how MANY layers? I'm in Chicagoland so I imagine it will be temps in the teens back home and will feel FL to be balmy for us. The historical forecast says days in low 70s and nights in 50s, is that right or was it colder than that?

I live in Duluth, Minnesota we are in the top 5 for coldest cities in the country, yay! Aren’t we lucky, lol! It was cold that night, something about Florida cold at night, it was chilly. I wore a fleece jacket and a sweatshirt with long pants and I was okay but still felt chilly. It was not in the 50’s that night it was in the 30 degree range.

Oh wow, 30! Ok, yea, I'll be a big baby if that's the case... will keep watch and plan accordingly, thank you! :cutie:

We were there the first week of March last year and are from the Midwest. One morning I was super cold in shorts and a sweatshirt waiting to get in at the mk. I was surprised it was that cold in March but I always still bring a sweatshirt just in case.

question - i have park hopper tickets and was planning to have dinner in MK before DAH starts so we'll already be in the park. I also have my DAH tickets being sent to me (hopefully they arrive before our trip!). do i have to check in somewhere for DAH or can i just start riding rides @ 8pm?
thanks!

I think you have to go back to the front to get a lanyard.

If it operates like previous years, there will be CMs either at the gate or just inside the park checking tickets and giving out lanyards. Similar to the parties I believe. I plan to start heading to the front of the park around 6-7 whenever it’s convenient to pick it up. I might stop by guest relations on my way in that day and ask if I can maybe pick it up.

But just to triple check all you need is your Magic Band for them to check your ticket and give you a lanyard right?
